excellent!! top notch food and service for a touristy area. all 5 of us got something completely different from each other and what i was most impressed with was that everything came out piping hot! everyone was pleased. blackened grouper i had was a special that day but wa great! lobster ravioli was incredible.

ate here last year and had wonderful service and food. ate here this year, yesterday, and again wonderful food. service by jesse was outstanding! hope to get back another time before we leave the island. hope we can again have jesse as our waitress. a very enjoyable dinner! if you love food and great service, you must go!

great seafood meal. the menu at this time was heavy on sea food. i very much enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food.. don't forget to order dessert. price for a meal is $20 +, but treat yourself, it was worth it. holly our waitress was great, a lovely blue eyed brunette who gave great service and was a delight ; and a good sport. i'd go back in a minute. one of my favorite eateries on the island.

will be back!!!. my fiance and i had dinner there this past saturday night. it was fantastic!!! this place was recommended by a person i work with, could not be happier. i am sure we will become regulars to this establishment. got a chance to meet one of the owners gretchen and she was welcoming and very friendly. my fiance had the crab stuffed lobster tail and i had the horseradish encrusted salmon, both were terrific. the crab cakes for the app were delicious. love the decor and feel of the dining room. hats off to the owners they have created a gem!!!

just had dinner there and it was very good! great fish. server was brooke very attentive. would go back good wine list!

the bread was the highlight of the meal. the biggest mistake was pulling in the parking lot. the 2nd was going to a restaurant with a gift shop attached. below average at best! if you want good food drive an hour south to naples...it's worth it!

great food! not a lot for non-seafood eaters. i had filet special and my husband had see bass special; both were delicious!

yum!. husband said he had the best bowl of seafood pasta he has ever had. ate there tonight for dinner. impressed with the friendly service and good food. want to go back to try more things. had two appetizers and did not leave room for dessert! oh well, next time.

one of the best places ever. we had an anniversary lunch here the other day and it was one of the best meals we've ever had. the food and ambiance were great!

local favorite. locals favor traders and i'm there every friday night for happy hour. the fine dining section is great for special occasions or if you enjoy dining a little later. happy hour in the bar only goes to 6:00, but drinks are 2 for 1 and they have a great happy hour menu that is very reasonable. island music in the bar on selected nights. bobbie

marginal lunch. poor value for the price. blackened grouper was just that , black from carbon not spices.

amazing meals!. we caught this place at happy hour after a day on the beach. happy hour is only if you sit at the bar. we had veal meatloaf and it was amazing! i can't wait to go back this year and have the same exact thing! we also had the crabcake appetizer and cesear salad and both of those were delicious too. we shared all the food and had some drinks and the happy hour price made this a great time! then a little shopping in the great shop attached. also, a side note the women's bathroom had that sea salt mixture to wash your hands - heavenly!

traders was not worth what we paid. our caesar salads tasted like cigarette smoke and our entrees were way over done.

simply awesome! years ago f.... simply awesome!
years ago fell in love with the incrediblely yummy food at a small place on captiva, the sunshine cafe. went back one year and the food just wasn't good...heard they sold..sad because of the outstanding gumbo and equally incredible apple crisp!

so now 20 years later...order gumbo and apple crisp at traders..bingo the taste is reawakened from long ago...cef is the chef from long ago!!
thrilled and even better...don't miss it!!

wish i could justify a daily trip while here on sanibel...go!
