based on other reviews we saved this for our last special dinner of the trip and we're extremely glad we did. the menu is varied and unique, and the list of specials was good. this was our top ratedrestaurantof the week.

always aaa+++. just the best . . . always the best . . . voted by us as the toprestaurantin southwest florida - the hostess begins our visit perfectly - she is just so darling and fun - the seat in the bar at her suggestion was the winner of the night - chris workman was performing and what a treat he is - wish i could take him home with me. chris was so attentive and made us feel like we were making his night - foodl, great as always, cocktails, plentiful, music a+, hostess, just the best and a 5 star evening again!

mar -vvvaaa - lluuss !!!. what a classyrestaurant- greeted by vibrant hostess who immediately told me i looked dynamite - ok, i was smiling already! seated immediately at a gorgeous window table with view of the holiday lights was a wonderful beginning to a fabulous meal - crab cakes, grouper, wonderful bread, and raspberry cheesecake - could not ask for more. great service, beautiful atmosphere and a fair price point.

the bread was the highlight of the meal. the biggest mistake was pulling in the parking lot. the 2nd was going to arestaurantwith a gift shop attached. below average at best! if you want good food drive an hour south to naples...it's worth it!

island fare. our family of 6 ate at traders on our second night in sanibel. wish i had written this review that night, because the details of the grouper (one of the specials that night) escape me today. what i do remember is a nice evening out with very good service, very fresh ingredients; well prepared, nicely plated fish with a good balance of flavors. it was an overall good evening. the live entertainment was tucked away by the bar - my only recommendation would be to bring the music to the wholerestaurant(why provide a live entertainer if he/she can only be heard within a 3 table radius?). we will definitely make this a part of the vacation-rotation next year!

farah our server was a delight and the rest of our experience was excellent as well. finally arestaurantwho gets the merging of talent and passion. the pan seared scallops were cooked to perfection as was the risotto. my husband had the special chilean sea bass which was equally tasty unlike other island establishments (blue giraffe, lazy flamingo) traders takes pride in every dish. we will be back and let the word out to all who visit this beautiful island

wonderful lunch. what a nice surprise thisrestaurantwas! the entire staff was friendly and helpful. i am allergic to pine nuts, so i asked if i could have my order without pesto. these nice people accommodated my request, and then were concerned enough to inquire abou the pecans on my greens. we even did a little shopping in the store.

our favoriterestauranton island. every meal is outstanding and the servers are pleasant and well trained.

macadamia grouper was fantastic. great food but atmosphere is a little tacky. the decorations in therestaurantare all for sale with price tags dangling from them.
