stay away. horrible service jessie was our server. we waited over an hour for our salad course. couldn't get a glass of wine my husband triple tail was awful mush. the creamed spinach was good the soup was horrible. then to top it off our credit card was charged for a different table so not only did we pay $77 for piss poorfoodbut also $89 pending for another table. poor service mediocrefoodundercooked fish and double charged at the end and waited 1:30 hour for badfoodstay away

fabulous food!!!! excellent atmosphere. higher endfoodyet not a stuffy feel to the place. service was also wonderful!! would come back again.

excellent!! top notchfoodand service for a touristy area. all 5 of us got something completely different from each other and what i was most impressed with was that everything came out piping hot! everyone was pleased. blackened grouper i had was a special that day but wa great! lobster ravioli was incredible.

ate here last year and had wonderful service and food. ate here this year, yesterday, and again wonderful food. service by jesse was outstanding! hope to get back another time before we leave the island. hope we can again have jesse as our waitress. a very enjoyable dinner! if you lovefoodand great service, you must go!

great seafood meal. the menu at this time was heavy on sea food. i very much enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food.. don't forget to order dessert. price for a meal is $20 +, but treat yourself, it was worth it. holly our waitress was great, a lovely blue eyed brunette who gave great service and was a delight ; and a good sport. i'd go back in a minute. one of my favorite eateries on the island.

greatfoodwith great service!!!!! our first time...obviously we loved it.

the bread was the highlight of the meal. the biggest mistake was pulling in the parking lot. the 2nd was going to a restaurant with a gift shop attached. below average at best! if you want goodfooddrive an hour south to naples...it's worth it!

one of the best places ever. we had an anniversary lunch here the other day and it was one of the best meals we've ever had. thefoodand ambiance were great!

amazing meals!. we caught this place at happy hour after a day on the beach. happy hour is only if you sit at the bar. we had veal meatloaf and it was amazing! i can't wait to go back this year and have the same exact thing! we also had the crabcake appetizer and cesear salad and both of those were delicious too. we shared all thefoodand had some drinks and the happy hour price made this a great time! then a little shopping in the great shop attached. also, a side note the women's bathroom had that sea salt mixture to wash your hands - heavenly!

years ago fell in love with the incrediblely yummyfoodat a small place on captiva, the sunshine cafe. went back one year and thefoodjust wasn't good...heard they sold..sad because of the outstanding gumbo and equally incredible apple crisp!

so now 20 years later...order gumbo and apple crisp at traders..bingo the taste is reawakened from long ago...cef is the chef from long ago!!
thrilled and even better...don't miss it!!

wish i could justify a daily trip while here on sanibel...go!

the best!. simply the best meal we had on the island. the menu was imaginative and fresh, the ambiance was elegant yet comfortable and thefooddelicious. the high point of the night was the service from chris, our server, kathy, the hostess and a magical evening of live music from a special piano man also named chris. trader's is a don't miss!!

macadamia grouper was fantastic. greatfoodbut atmosphere is a little tacky. the decorations in the restaurant are all for sale with price tags dangling from them.

a favorite on the island.foodis very good but it seems tacky that they have price tags on all the wall decorations.

exceptional waiter: chris. and thefoodwas outstanding to boot. the best place we ate while on the island.

where's the "i love it" button?. this place is awesome! we ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. thefoodis excellent! even the bread and olive oil and herb dip was delicious. i had the best scallops of my life on top by lobster ravioli (that were black and white striped!) with cream sauce. it was sooo good! the next time, i had the prime rib and it was excellent as well.

love it!. we've been to traders numerous times and love it so much that we decided to have our wedding reception there. thefoodis always top notch and the service is very attentive. they treated my husband and i like a queen and king and joe, the owner, bent over backwards to fulfill our every wish. there wasn't a single thing i would have changed. the talented chef is very creative and his horseradish salmon is to die for. the atmosphere and decor is superb. don't forget to check out the shop after dinner. there are so many neat treasures there waiting to be discovered!
