quiteambienceand good food .good place for families. bit expensive but you can enjoy. food quality and variety was good. really loved this place. good place to spend your evening.

a very nice hotel in big palace. we went for dinner at tiger trail,ambiencewas very nice. food was not that much good according to cost. and the service was very slow. overall experience was good. must try once.

beautiful british architecture with great indian food. good food, betterambienceand good service (unlike some of the previous reviews i found the service fast and good). mutton biriyani and achari chicken kebab were great ( i hope they still are). it's a place one should dine in when in mysore.
note: here you should always opt for indian food.

tiger trails was recommended to me by a very good friend of mine. i visited the place solely for food the history of the place. there is no doubt about theambienceand food of the restaurant. the place screams old mysore, it has retained the charm the city stands for. i loved their mushroom curry and paneer tikka starter. only suggestion is include a complimentary serving for customers.

royal orchid metropole has a rich heritage of the british design cues with high ceilings,wood all over and we stayed here so we had the breakfast buffet,spread of the buffet and desserts was not vast, taste of the food & desserts was average. overall a satisfying experience kudos for theambienceand heritage of the place!
buffet included:
• milkshake / smoothie / health juice

• south indian breakfast

• continental breakfast

• indian breakfast

• cut fruits

• cold cuts

• dosa live counter

• egg station

• waffles 

• oriental counter

• dessert

• breakfast rolls

great place. went here for a team lunch.. the buffet has good options available for both veg nonveg and also for deserts.. the hotel has a royal look.. theambienceis very nice.. service is good..

although i belong to mysore never had opportunity to visit this place. today my family & my brother family visited for dinner.ambienceis very good. however services are very poor. they are really slow. we almost waited for 30mins for a person to take orders. if you have ample free time and nothing to do then you can relax but without food. i don’t recommend this hotel to my friends

the place is overpriced for a buffet. theambiencetoo is not that great.
starters had chicken tikka and chicken dish. veg had baby corn n fried gobi.

main course had palak paneer, daal, chicken biryani, mutton, fish, pasta and noodles. food was average.

sweets were awful. chocolate brownie was a mush. ice cream was all liquid. nothing much in sweets.

i really enjoyed theambiencehere in metropole. however the food wasn't up to the mark. chicken was cold and sweets weren't fresh. the service was good enough.

an excellent restaurant within royal orchid metropole, tiger trail is a multicuisine restaurant serving some delectable specialities.
the decor is regal and replete with heritage furniture that is both functional and classy.  
the service is impeccable and the staff is extremely courteous. they go the extra mile to ensure that you have a great experience while enjoying your meal.
the spread at the breakfast is vast and offers english as well as indian options.  the salads are wonderful and so is the mysore masala dosa and filter coffee.
the lunch buffet too offers a sumptuous fare including north indian, south indian, asian and continental options.  the desserts are simply delectable! dinner is à la carte and theambienceis wonderful and relaxing where one can unwind over a lovely meal.

we went to mysore for a weekend trip from bangalore. heard good reviews of this place. we landed at the royal orchid metropole by 5 pm when they were not serving dinner. so we sat in the coffee shop and ate a pizza.pizza review - it was a 4 slice thick crust pizza for around 690 bucks. we liked the pizza but not the serving portion. until we finished that, the restaurant tiger trails opened up and soon it was filled with families coming there to eat out.theambienceof the place is really nice, but not the food and worst of all, their service.we ordered a chicken stroganoff and chicken breast in mushroom sauce.the chicken breasts were not well cooked and lacked sauces.the stroganoff sauce was too creamy and light to act as gravy for the rice.we asked for small portions of the sauces on the side. it never came. even after 1.5 hours.i'd say, when in mysore, try the local outlets.

arguably the best place in a town like mysore. gr8 setting andambienceand buffett is the best part. breakfast has loads of variety and desserts are lip smacking. touch expensive but definitely worth the experience!

very niceambience, the food we ordered have become perennial to me , the serving staff is very good in tiger trail and if you want to go out on a romantic dinner this is one of the best places in mysore

it is one of the oldest hotels in mysore city which has undergone change in ownership several times. popularly called hotel metropole, the food quality and service is excellent, so is theambiencewhich has an ancient feel. we tried stuffed naan and shimla mirch curry which was mouth watering, however the quantity is a bit disappointing.
