been totomcata couple times now, it's a family favorite! i personally recommend the dazed and confused (fruity pebbles encrusted french toast!!) just make sure you either get there early or you're not in a rush-- there will be a wait!!

a totally flawless experience. my family and i discovered thetomcatcafe on a whim. it was one of those mornings we really didn't feel like making anything for breakfast, but we didn't want to go without it, so we were looking things up in the merchandiser. we saw a little menu-like ad in there, and decided to give it a try. when we walked in, i was just blown away by what i saw. the restaurant is small, yes, but it is well decorated with a lot of musical icons displayed in different spots. the music playing in the background was very easy to listen to, and fit the theme of the restaurant perfectly. we were seated at a table very quickly and the waitress was very attentive and friendly, checking up on us regularly. now, onto the good bits: the food. i had ordered the blackbird, and was simply awestruck at not only how it looked, but how much of it i got. and looks do not deceive. the food was just brilliantly and perfectly prepared. this restaurant truly exceeded all expectations and will be recommended to just about everyone. sure the small size might make things slow if they are busy, but really i think it is the wait that makes the food even more delicious.

thetomcatcafe does breakfast better than anyone else because that’s all they do.

suceeded breakfast. we arrived at thetomcatat 8:30 am , it was - no tables open. we sat at the window seats. fast drink service, ordered pancakes. knowing of the large portions and the cost , we decided to ask for an extra plate to share the meal. we were served and enjoyed the portion of cakes and homefries. had much leftover to carry home, wonderful. the bill arrived and we were charged a $2.00 fee for sharing. this was not relayed by waitress or the menu. i believe that we were overcharged , just because we are not large eaters ( seniors ) , even so i would not complain about a $ 1.00 sharing fee, but, twice that is not fair. example - family coming in with young children would most likely share with the child, adding $2.00 , even worse if they had any other would be sharing also. get humanized and make your sharing charge a fair fee.
we will go again , but we will be wiser.

trying. i tried to figure out when to go there after one time that the signs said they were open at the time i was there, not so. i plan to try a visit on saturday morning about 845 , here is hoping to enjoy a breakfast there , results later...

tomcat reply. as the owner, chef, prep cook, dishwasher, host, server, maintenance man, pr director, accountant, etc. of thetomcatcafe, i feel obliged to address recent reviews of my restaurant. my wife posted recently to clarify our hours. allow me to give a little more insight.
i greatly appreciate the multitudes of patrons who express such gracious compliments every day. these words of admiration and approval are gratifying. "rave reviews" are wonderful but they do not wash away the tears of my youngest daughter on a friday morning who knows she will not see her parents until sunday night. or the disappointment of my son when he realizes that i can't come to any of his soccer games because i work 17 hours every saturday.
we love our restaurant. we love what we do. unlike
so many other restaurants we are completely hands-on with every aspect of our restaurant. our food is tirelessly
prepared in a fresh manner daily. our menus are constantly being updated. our specials always involve the freshest seasonal ingredients. these tasks do not perform themselves. i cannot express enough how much we love our restaurant and our loyal patrons. hopefully this post will help to illuminate anyone who has doubted our dedication or level of sacrifice. we will continue to be all that we can. we will continue to be thetomcatcafe.

tomcat hours. thanks for all the rave reviews! in response to our hours, i'm sorry to say they will stand as is. we are hands on owners, we do create every delicious meal that comes out of our kitchen. if we are sick, etc., there is no one else to replace us. also as the parents of 3 small children, their needs will always come first. while we love the restaurant & our customers, our family comes first. we always try to post when we will be closed well in advance in multiple signs throughout the cafe, on facebook, on our answering
machine & by telling our customers in person. i'm sorry for any disappointment this has caused. feel free to let us know of any suggestions you may have in person. we are always at the cafe & we are always available to our customers.

awesome!. that about sums it up.....awesome. amazing food, great service. i eat here all the time. patrons will line up out the door to eat here.
and i was there the day the owner asked that man and his girlfriend to leave. they were rude from the get-go. the man insisted that they should have their entire meal for free which made no sense at all, then he started to shout profanities while thier were young children sitting right there.
