wow. amazing.. i thought the whole reading, pa area was virtually devoid of any restaurant serving fresh, imaginative food. and then i found this place. fresh ingredients, imaginative preparations, bright flavors and fantastic service, we will go back as often as possible so we can sample everything on the menu! i had breakfast here with two gentlemen and when the plates were set down, all three of us moaned with pleasure just at the smell. and the taste was even better. fantastic! keep it up tomcat.

been to tomcat a couple times now, it's a family favorite! i personally recommend the dazed and confused (fruity pebbles encrusted french toast!!) just make sure you either get there early or you're not in a rush-- there will be a wait!!

a totally flawless experience. my family and i discovered the tomcat cafe on a whim. it was one of those mornings we really didn't feel like making anything for breakfast, but we didn't want to go without it, so we were looking things up in the merchandiser. we saw a little menu-like ad in there, and decided to give it a try. when we walked in, i was just blown away by what i saw. the restaurant is small, yes, but it is well decorated with a lot of musical icons displayed in different spots. the music playing in the background was very easy to listen to, and fit the theme of the restaurant perfectly. we were seated at a table very quickly and the waitress was very attentive and friendly, checking up on us regularly. now, onto the good bits: the food. i had ordered the blackbird, and was simply awestruck at not only how it looked, but how much of it i got. and looks do not deceive. the food was just brilliantly and perfectly prepared. this restaurant truly exceeded all expectations and will be recommended to just about everyone. sure the small size might make things slow if they are busy, but really i think it is the wait that makes the food even more delicious.

i've found it!!. i will make this simple - this is the best breakfast place i have ever been to. period.

it's located in sinking springs in a residential area, two doors down from a tattoo shop. it's in an old row house. it's a perfect place for breakfast!

the menu is huge and eclectic. if you're just a bacon and egger, this place will be lost on you. you need to want an odd, delicious breakfast treat of meat and sweet. there are 50 kinds of wild and woolly pancakes, crepes, build your own everything if you like. i had a helluva time deciding.

i had such a hard time deciding i ordered two breakfasts and at half of each. i ordered the sunny days omelette - grand marnier sesame beef, broccoli, mushroom & bell pepper. it was pretty awesome. and i also ordered the seattle seven - italian pork, broccoli, artichoke heart, roasted red peppers, mushroom & scrambled eggs, topped with a spicy pesto cream sauce- served in a bread bowl.

my breakfast pard is a sissy and had oatmeal raisin pancakes - they looked damn good, and got totally eaten.

everything was delicious, hot, plentiful and fun to eat. the service was good, and the owners came by to ask if everything was ok.

two things i didn't like: your hours kinda suck. and your coffee kinda sucks. home fries are good - but jazz them up puh leeze. but, this place is a winner!

this maybe the most interesting place to get breakfast i've ever been.
its small and people aren't in a hurry so if you are skip it till you have some time. the wait is usually 30mins or so and the food all made from scratch takes a while (so long in fact they give you games to play while you wait like uno)
the menu is huge and it's got crazy options

can someone please help us?. first of all, let me tell you about myself. i am 30 year old female, i love breakfast, i am not a picky eater and i was a waitress in nyc for 5 years. i looked this place up on instagram and was super excited to try it out. i asked co-workers that have been there if they liked it and was surprise that not one seemed to think it was worth visiting. i couldn't understand why, especially with how great the food looked. so i looked it up and read the reviews and saw that there was some hype about it. went with friends last week (40 year old male, 22 year old female, 36 year old female). it was the most uncomfortable experience going into this extremely tiny place and standing there by the door waiting for someone to acknowledge us. waitresses went by and no one said anything to us for 15 minutes. my friends wanted to leave. you are actually standing less than two feet from the nearest table (my friend felt like we were invading their conversation). anyhow the waitress was very nice but it seemed like there was only three working waitresses there and they were overwhelmed. do not expect your waitress to be attentive.too many people in a very small space and not enough staff i guess. the food was good. good portion size. we spent over $90 (without counting the tip) for 4 of us. so was it worth it? i doubt we will be back again but i would tell everyone to try it out for themselves. i now understand why everyone seemed to react so blah when i asked about this place. it's a good start but something has to change as far as customer service. maybe hire an actual host. it's a new idea so everyone is hype but that will soon wear off, and then what? you need not to only attract people to your restaurant but make them want to come back and the food alone won't always accomplish that. i can see the owner is working his butt off so i will give thumbs up for that. i do wish him success.

opinion. i ordered an omelet and it included mushrooms and other items but because of this is it was runny and i could not recognize the egg part of it. parmesan potatoes were recommended and a much too large portion of little cubes with an overpowering parmesan taste. the overwhelming portion was not appetizing. not my favorite place to eat so will unlikely be back as an hours drive is too long to not enjoy the food.

yummy, yummy, yummy. once you go, you will be back. just prepare to wait. weekends are packed, they will put your name on a list and call your cell when your table is ready. the food is delicious, the portions are huge. pancakes are (not exaggerating) 15 inches round and you get 2 of them. they don't make singles, personally i'd pay more for a single than to waste the other pancake. fabulous french toast. they only do "to-go" on weekdays so if you have a craving and think that's an option on a weekend, its a no go.

unique and delicious. i mainly frequent tom cat for saturday or sunday for breakfast. the best time to go is right when they open at 8am, not a minute later because the place will fill-up fast. otherwise, go a little later like 9:30-10am. the menu is overwhelming but in a good way. there are so many unique dishes to choose from and they are all good. i particularly like spicy food, so anything with peppers, chipotle, chorizo, bbq, etc are great. omelets are huge but the pancakes are enormous bordering on ridiculous; hanging over the plate. my mom's favorite is the stuffed french toast if you like sweet. remember, if this is your first time going to plan your arrival time appropriately because the wrong time can mean a long wait. parking can be difficult since it is street parking and the next-door church apparently doesn't support local businesses because they try to prevent you from parking in there over-flow lot, which is never overflowing... i've been there for lunch a couple times and the ingredient themes transfer directly to sandwiches, also excellent!
