i've found it!!. i will make this simple - this is the best breakfast place i have ever been to. period.

it's located in sinking springs in a residential area, two doors down from a tattoo shop. it's in an old row house. it's a perfect place for breakfast!

the menu is huge and eclectic. if you're just a bacon and egger, this place will be lost on you. you need to want an odd, delicious breakfast treat of meat and sweet. there are 50 kinds of wild and woolly pancakes, crepes, build your own everything if you like. i had a helluvatimedeciding.

i had such a hardtimedeciding i ordered two breakfasts and at half of each. i ordered the sunny days omelette - grand marnier sesame beef, broccoli, mushroom & bell pepper. it was pretty awesome. and i also ordered the seattle seven - italian pork, broccoli, artichoke heart, roasted red peppers, mushroom & scrambled eggs, topped with a spicy pesto cream sauce- served in a bread bowl.

my breakfast pard is a sissy and had oatmeal raisin pancakes - they looked damn good, and got totally eaten.

everything was delicious, hot, plentiful and fun to eat. the service was good, and the owners came by to ask if everything was ok.

two things i didn't like: your hours kinda suck. and your coffee kinda sucks. home fries are good - but jazz them up puh leeze. but, this place is a winner!

best bfast in berks. been there several times its becoming a weekly habit! everything is soooo good i tell everyone i know to come here for breakfast! the blueberry banana pancakes are perfect, i try to get something different from their huge menu everytimei go, everything has been a party in my mouth! if your thinking of trying for the firsttimedo it make sure your hungry! the wait staff is great too they make good recomendations and keep your coffee mug full! hands down best breakfast in berks county!

unique and delicious. i mainly frequent tom cat for saturday or sunday for breakfast. the besttimeto go is right when they open at 8am, not a minute later because the place will fill-up fast. otherwise, go a little later like 9:30-10am. the menu is overwhelming but in a good way. there are so many unique dishes to choose from and they are all good. i particularly like spicy food, so anything with peppers, chipotle, chorizo, bbq, etc are great. omelets are huge but the pancakes are enormous bordering on ridiculous; hanging over the plate. my mom's favorite is the stuffed french toast if you like sweet. remember, if this is your firsttimegoing to plan your arrivaltimeappropriately because the wrongtimecan mean a long wait. parking can be difficult since it is street parking and the next-door church apparently doesn't support local businesses because they try to prevent you from parking in there over-flow lot, which is never overflowing... i've been there for lunch a couple times and the ingredient themes transfer directly to sandwiches, also excellent!

the menu is fabulously creative. cozy atmosphere and the owners are there cooking everyday and treat you like they know you even if it's your firsttimethere. it's just amazing.

suceeded breakfast. we arrived at the tomcat at 8:30 am , it was - no tables open. we sat at the window seats. fast drink service, ordered pancakes. knowing of the large portions and the cost , we decided to ask for an extra plate to share the meal. we were served and enjoyed the portion of cakes and homefries. had much leftover to carry home, wonderful. the bill arrived and we were charged a $2.00 fee for sharing. this was not relayed by waitress or the menu. i believe that we were overcharged , just because we are not large eaters ( seniors ) , even so i would not complain about a $ 1.00 sharing fee, but, twice that is not fair. example - family coming in with young children would most likely share with the child, adding $2.00 , even worse if they had any other would be sharing also. get humanized and make your sharing charge a fair fee.
we will go again , but we will be wiser.

trying. i tried to figure out when to go there after onetimethat the signs said they were open at thetimei was there, not so. i plan to try a visit on saturday morning about 845 , here is hoping to enjoy a breakfast there , results later...

excellent food!. we love visiting the tom cat and waiting for their facebook posts of specials on the weekend! i recommend visiting during the week as it is less crowded & gives you moretimeto linger, enjoying coffee and meal! i almost always bring home left overs! i would highly recommend visiting the tom cat!

worst experience ever!!!!. this was absolutely the worst dining experience i have ever encountered, in my life. we sat for 50 minutes before the food arrived, and when they finally brought it, the order was wrong. i asked the waitress to take it back, and that i did not havetimeto wait for another omlet. my girlfriend began eating her breakfast until a chef walked up and said "sorry (i thought it might be the manager coming to make things right) ill take that" and litterally took her meal out from under her fork. i was sure it was a misunderstanding and said "no this meal is ok." he then told us we could leave and not come back. when i acted surprised and disrespected i was told he would call the police if we did not leave. my girlfriend (in tears) and i left and will never return. i have never been as insulted or humiliated in public as this before. i would urge all of you not to patronize this establishment. its a shame, because the menu looks great, too bad i will never know what the food tastes like.
