delicious breakfast with lovely vegetarian options. we’ve tried the health stack and petit dejeuner. also try their freshly squeezed orange juice. they have a great breakfast special every now and then that’s good value for money (about r70 for two eggs, lots of bacon, mushrooms, tomato, baguette and steak). goodservicewith friendly waiters!

we both had fillet steaks for lunch. food was good though the the steak was slightly overdone relative to the preference requested.servicewas competent though not polished! on the downside a number of "floating staff" who are pretty noisy and not seeming to add value!

quant restaurant with a great ambiance deeper in. food andservicewas ok. not cheap. updated menu attached in pics. felt a bit “employee run” without any personal interaction from the chef like in some previous reviews.

when you walk through the doors of this restaurant, at first it seems like a very ordinary cafe, until you reach the candlelit tables right at the back of the restaurant.
although a bit pricey it is definitely worth the money. our meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. we received a complementary dessert for our anniversary.
theservicewas good and after two bottles of red wine and a three course meals, we left the restaurant with very satisfied smiles on our face.

we had our valentines dinner booked at 6pm at this restaurant, this after we had a dinner here a couple of months ago. we arrived on time and were seated at a table adjacent to the toilets. we were the only table in at that time and our booking was done well in advance but we decided not to query the placement. after ordering champagne we placed our order off the set menu (which we were not advised of at the time of the booking) only to be told that theserviceof the appetisers would only commence after 7pm. i found that unacceptable, especially as it was a set menu and prepping should have been done well in advance. it went down hill from there. the appetisers and starters, when they eventually arrived were good but the main course, a duck l'orange was overcooked, dry and rubbery. don, our server tried his best but the replacement duck breast was more pink inside but no crispy skin and mealy flesh. the l'orange sauce was acidic and more blackberry consistent than orange. this was disappointing after waiting more than two hours. we ordered our deserts to go. the manager eventually came to our table and offered us a round of drinks, but it was too little too late. i settled the substantial bill vowed never to come back.

i enjoyed the food, with a decent variety of french cuisine dishes. definitely recommend the chicken balentine. and theservicewas just as good. definitely a good restaurant for a relaxed evening

pinned in the heart of old waterkloof, this quaint place looks enticing from the entrance. don't be fooled as this place grows in stature as you move into the restaurant. crisp white tables at the back and more casual red parisian tables close to the entrance. their menus are a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for. today i opted for a lovely frittata and was pleasantly satisfied. flavourfully prepared food andservicefriendly although a bit timeous, made my visit one where i appreciated the uniqueness of the setting. they have a mean wine cellar and i can't wait to visit again.

fantastic! this restaurant really is a hidden jem tucked away in the suburbs of waterkloof! it's atmosphere is warm and inviting and has two very distinct personalities; a relaxed european coffee shop/bistro in the front, and a upmarket french fine dining section in the rear. theservicewas superb, not once did we feel neglected and the staff were very knowledgeable. as for the food itself, the quality was excellent! from the foie gras to the steak, every dish was mouth-watering and we will definitely be back for more! for those of you that might feel that this could get a bit pricey, they do offer all you can eat pasta and pizza on monday's as well as affordable set menus on sundays! so, do yourself a favour and give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

this is probably our favourite restaurant in the whole of pta. as you walk in by the front door you are immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and takes you to a table. the décor and layout of the restaurant is absolutely stunning. you are given menus and a wine connoisseur comes to you and starts explain all the wine to you (his knowledge is very impressive). love to start with starters and the steak tartare is my absolute favourite. so many different tastes in one dish.they bring out freshly baked bread with the most amazing smears. cant get enough of it.the main courses are to die for. from the gourmet burgers to the most tender fillet steaks (and if you think its just a plain fillet you're wrong. think of something that pairs with fillet and its there.)when it comes to desert you are really spoiled for choice. the portions are big enough just to have enough (i must admit sometimes it was so nice that i just craved more).by the way, i didn't mention their breakfast. best breakfast in town and better value for money than most franchise restaurants.i would recommend this restaurant to everyone. if i could've kept this gem to myself i defiantly would've.   food andservice12 out of 10.

i was very excited to finally visit this restaurant as it was on my list for a while. it always looks very quiet from the outside, but the restaurant is actually at the back.

i really liked the ambience especially with the fireplace, it made for a cosy atmosphere. theservicewas good, except that the waiter seemed a bit new and nervous, but hey, everyone must start somewhere.

our food was delicious and prepared to preference, there was an amazing special, which was a welcome surprise, a 3 course meal with a glass of wine for only r190.

i enjoyed the evening and can definitely recommend a visit to le trois canard!

we went to the three ducks with great expectations as it was a zomato foodie meetup. we have not been there before as their vegetarian options were extremely limited. but this time they knew upfront....

we were quite impressed with the setting and looks inside the venue. the fireplace makes it cosy and comfy. the font and entrance of the restaurant can be very misleading.

theservicewas good but some of the waiters did not make the cut. a glass of good quality merlot was topped up with shiraz without asking. another had a bad attitude. it was nice to see the chef at the table also.

the melanzane was really tasty but lacked presentation. some of the other dishes looked stunning! 😄

they prepared a vegetable casserole but it seems they used some of the same ingredients as in the melanzane. this was a tad disappointing.

they have an extensive menu with a variety of dishes even including pizza and burgers.

in our opinion really worth a visit.

the saying goes... don't judge a book by its cover and with most restaurants in pretoria i was pleasantly surprised. what a beautiful restaurant! welcomed by friendly staff who were all dressed in red berets, simplistic decor featuring black and white floors with white linen. i really enjoyed the menu that was prepared for the zomato foodies. a variety of bread and butters were served on arrival. my favourite dish had to be the calamari, pear and roquefort salad. the fillet steak was prepared to perfection. the desserts that were served were not the most pleasant as i didn't enjoy the creme brûlée, which is a difficult dish to perfect. despite desserts not being great, theservicewas commendable, the waiters are attentive, management is always in line of sight and it was wonderful to meet the chef! merci beaucoup
