thank you chef papa! the best fish and chips in town! crispy deep fried handcaught hake..... yummmmmm. had an awesome saturday lunch. tranquil garden setting took us out if our busy lives into a little french village for the afternoon. see you soon again.....

finally made it to le trois canards and i'm excited to say it exceeded my expectations.
started with a cold meat platter, of course had the duck breast which was cooked perfectly. for dessert we had the chocolate nemesis and apple tart which were delicious! furthermore i love the courtyard vibes in the shady sun, and the service was genuinely excellent - we were very well looked after for all the hours we overstayed our welcome🍷 🐥🐥🐥

the food was excellent the service was very good and our table of  four had no complaints. there were a couple of big tables and it all looked on track. i am sure they heard what people said and adjusted and mended their teatheeng problems. well done to the owners

now that was a real treat. all their ducks were in a row for a perfect sunday afternoon. i think my pictures paint a thousand words but i'd rather recommend you try for yourself...

on arrival for supper at the three ducks we were most impressed by the decor which creates an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
we were taken to our table and soon after being seated our waiter presented us with the wine list. a good selection of wine was available at affordable prices.
the chef explained the menu to us and offered the specials of the evening. he also told us that the menu changed weekly.
first on the menu were five entres. we ordered the deconstructed steak tartare and french onion soup, both dishes being exquisite.
six dishes were offered as plat pricipal. we both ordered poison bom femme, fillet of hake grilled to perfection with an ementaller glaze. this was served on a bed of crispy cooked vegetables.. a side plate of french fries accompanied the dish. this is well worth trying.
two desserts were on the menu. we ordered tiramisu which which was not only delicious, but also beautifully presented.
the service was excellent and our waiter deserved a ten out of ten.
the three ducks is not just your ordinary restaurant, but one which gives you a truly gastronomic experience.

it really does sadden me to write this review, purely because this place has so much potential! i went there for an anniversary dinner and was quite shocked at the service. they are quite friendly, and the manager was always walking around to check on everyone which was nice. but that was pretty much where it ended. our food took forever. we arrived at 7pm and ordered around 7:30pm, when our mains only arrived at 9:30pm. they kept telling us to be patient, but after so long, there is no more patience left! their portion sizes aren't great either (they really do just give you a teaspoon of mash). they do have a lot of potential, but for the prices they charge, they really do need to up their game.

i'm hoping these are just teething problems, cause the reviews seem to be very mixed.

what a lovely experience! first time customers, we are doing banting, and were starving. my mom ordered chicken liver salad and i ordered the beef burger without the bread. the food took a little while to arrive but it was worth the wait. my burger came with chips and i told the waiter he must please take them as they will just temp me! haha he said no problem and bought me a salad immediately. it really felt as if i was sitting in france!

sadly i cannot rate this restaurant, as my expectations were very high. especially thinking that i'm going to get the same service and food, as their little cousin in menlo park. the service was incredibly slow. the menu is tiny. very few choices. i had the rib eye steak, served on a teaspoon of mash. yes, a teaspoon of mash. we didn't order any desserts, because we couldn't wait to get out of there. the decor is very sterile. almost as if you are walking into a doctor's room. no ambiance. no personal touch. sorry, but i have no desire to go there again.

unfortunately slow service. no black pepper and the food is not the quality of a good french restaurant by any means. if you feel like wasting money and not enjoying your experience please feel free to come and enjoy all the above
