good burger tad expensive. this is good local alternative to red robin or similar. the meat was good quality with more flavor than other burger chains that focus more on the toppings than the meat. though, the meat set them aside, the toppings didn't disappoint. my suggestions: +$3 for potato chips is ridiculous, find a way to soften the general noise.

good burger & beer joint. if you're out looking for a good burger & beer, the rail is worth a visit.

excellent food. i love the rail. i took my mom and my sister who lives in columbus. i've eaten there before, so i had my sister order the gouda mac and cheese bites. they're to die for!!!!!! she loved them so much she got some to go but ate them before she made it back to columbus. my mom also loved her burger. but g he kicker was our server jamie. he was very accommodating, nice demeanor, smiled, good eye contact. a really pleasant guy. we loved him!

i've been here many times and have always found the food to be amazing. great quality of meat in the burgers and overall great experience. would highly recommend.

one of our favorite salads is a grilled caesar that we get in key west. so imagine our surprise when we walked into the rail and it was on the menu. added a naked burger from local beef and it was wonderful. the caesar dressing was more oil based which was what we wanted. added a couple of stout and porter beers and the world is good. bar environment works for lunch or late night after a late day. friendly attentive staff.

the hippie pita was refreshing and filled with lots of veggies, the pita bread was good too. the burger was good, cooked perfectly. atmosphere, meh. bar service, great and good drink specials.

very unique burgers! and excellent truffle fries. only complaint is how small it is. .. so sometimes the wait is a bit long! there are also seasonal burgers too.

if you want an amazing burger, this is the place to go. yes, it's a little pricey, but it's worth it for the quality of the food. the menu isn't large, but there is a good variety. there is more to choose from than just burgers, but the burgers are the real reason to be there. everything comes a la carte, but to be honest just a burger is filling enough... i've never even tried the fries here (though i've been told they're good)! i have tried the onion rings though and they are fantastic (i'm a bit of an onion ring snob, so this is important to me). and the milkshakes are deliciously creamy and perfect. plus there's pie... oh the pie!

if you want cheap, go to one of the fast food places on any corner and you'll get the low quality you pay for. but for a delicious, high quality, hearty meal i would recommend the rail.

dinner at the rail. one of the best burgers ever - have had the "naked burger" twice as i am avoiding wheat. you can really tell the difference with grass fed beef. our server was also excellent - very personable and accommodating to one of my companion's quirkiness.

terrible service, great food. i love the food here, but each time i go to the fairlawn location i am continually underwhelmed by the service. took a group of friends one sunday for drinks and apps and as soon as the older male server realized we wouldn't be ordering meals his entire attitude changed and he continued to come back and make rude comments until he started to completely ignore us altogether-hard to do to a group of 10 people seated right in the middle of an already small restaurant. everyone in the group was amazed at his rudeness. and the second time was when a group of us decided to go here on lunch (we work at the mall) we get an hour for lunch-plenty of time to order, eat, and leave. we informed the waitress before we sat down that we were on lunch from work. she waited forever to take our orders and by the time the food came out-two of us had to leave. we had her box up their meals and she couldn't even remember what they had ordered. she put the wrong items into boxes and on plates, which took then even more time. by the time me and my collegue were ready to leave we had to track her down for bill and when it came-she charged the wrong amount to each of us. the last experience happened today, which prompted this review. i've been to the one in north olmsted and canton and have had no negative experiences. i will not be back to this location.

great time at the rail!. we celebrated my husband's birthday at the rail, and it was a really fun experience! our server was really great, and he made the whole evening enjoyable. the worst part was the 30 minute wait, but it was so worth it!

best burger i've ever eaten. their burger was cooked to perfection, tips tasted amazing and their chipotle mayo is worth the trip alone.

wonderful place to chill and grab a great casual meal!. the rail offers a comfortable but interesting atmosphere coupled with great food and guest service! carries a nice selection of craft and micro brew beers along with delicious hamburgers and other easygoing but absolutely tasty fare!
try it once and you'll be back!
