delicious burgers, although overcooked. ordered medium well, but the meat was definitely well done with no pink. great onion rings, crispy without being greasy. the pretzel bite appetizer was a disappointment, the beer cheese dipping sauce was very runny and bland. our food arrived very quickly, but our server was a dud. despite an empty dining room, we were left waiting for extended periods for drink refills and our check.

best burgers and truffle fries i've ever had.

pat on the back!. i have been to the rail two times and loved it each time i visited. the first time i was there it was one of their coveted beer samplings - which was awesome! these shindigs take place monthly at their community table and everyone gathers around the "beer guy/gal" and learns about the beer they are tasting. while they are presenting, you also get yummy rail bar snacks. for our tasting we got mac & cheese bites, loaded chips, and the most amazing fried pickled green beans!

having such a great experience the 1st time i was there, i wanted to try it out again this weekend as a "regular patron." this time i shared the greenwich pig and swapped the burger out for a veggie burger. oh wow! it was amazing!! we ordered chips to go along with it, and tried out the provolone sticks for an appetizer. it was all great!

the staff is great, too. both times we have been there we have been taken care of very well. we sat at the bar and the super-friendly bartender even gave us a sample of one of their awesome milkshakes! i'm guessing there was a little left in the cup, and our lucky day!

i highly recommend the rail to anyone who is looking for a hip place to grab a burger with some friends! and i give this "burger joint" a huge pat on the back for also having veggie options that actually taste great!

a little different. this place has a variety of burgers, all decent but a little overpriced. fresh ingredients but non traditional. food tastes okay but not my style. their shakes may be the best i've had.

great time. my wife and i recently visited the rail for our anniversary dinner. the service was prompt and very warm, the appetizer was delicious, and the burgers are stellar. i got the local yokel, which is the big seller i'm told, and it was cooked to perfection. loved that everything is locally sourced. it was a great atmosphere and great food to boot.

the burgers & fries here are unbeatable! great local beer and liquor selections. fantastic service with chris or mike. we eat here on a weekly basis! make sure to get in and try their bison burger special-delish!

the rail is the new burger place at summit mall. i really like the decor they chose. there is a cow with meat cut lines and the names of counties in ohio instead of cuts of meat. they advertise that all their meat is local and they have a good variety of local beers. the beer list is short but packs a big punch. the bar is pretty big and there is lots of bar type seating. there are also some booths in the back which is where we sat. they were not busy when we were there and our server was great. we actually had a complaint about the fried jalapenos on our fries and he took it right back to the kitchen and they made us fresh ones. he even recommended beers even though tbg didn't take his recommendations. there is a decent happy hour and seasonal specials. we started the meal with the bon fire fries which are nice thin crispy fries with creamy melted pepper jack cheese and sriracha and fried jalapenos on top. it was very good and plenty big enough for 2 people. i liked the fries so much

the food was okay. oscar very messy and the crabmeat didn't seem fresh. peanut butter brownie milkshake was amazing though

great burger, great milkshake! i wish we had burgers this good in memphis. lucky me i get to come back to akron in october, and i'll be back for more burgers!

burgers. really fresh, lots of toppings

juicy and perfectly pink. i will admit that the nuances of the fresh mozeralla are lost a little with all that burger flavor, but the pesto and fresh tomato really shine. all in all, an excellent burger, and not so large that you’re stuck in a food coma for the rest of the day. nope, this was juuuuust right.

burgers and fries are good. disappointed with the strawberry milkshake though, i'll try chocolate next time.

i first heard that mike mariola, owner of two highly praised restaurants in wooster, ohio, was thinking of opening a burger bar in the fairlawn area all the way back in august/september of last year when i had the opportunity to review his flagship restaurant, south market bistro . at the time, he had left the bistro in the more-or-less capable hands of chef eric running the back of the house with wife liz ran the front while he proceeded to open up and run the city square steakhouse across the street. noting that mr. mariola was absent at south market bistro that evening, i figured he must have been working across the street at the sister restaurant. my server surmised that he was more than likely out on the prowl looking for real estate for his new burger joint to join the burgeoning gourmet burger scene that has taken hold of americans over the last several years. putting himself in direct competition with other similar restauranteurs such as michael symon with his b spot franchises
