goodburgertad expensive. this is good local alternative to red robin or similar. the meat was good quality with more flavor than otherburgerchains that focus more on the toppings than the meat. though, the meat set them aside, the toppings didn't disappoint. my suggestions: +$3 for potato chips is ridiculous, find a way to soften the general noise.

goodburger& beer joint. if you're out looking for a goodburger& beer, the rail is worth a visit.

one of our favorite salads is a grilled caesar that we get in key west. so imagine our surprise when we walked into the rail and it was on the menu. added a nakedburgerfrom local beef and it was wonderful. the caesar dressing was more oil based which was what we wanted. added a couple of stout and porter beers and the world is good. bar environment works for lunch or late night after a late day. friendly attentive staff.

the hippie pita was refreshing and filled with lots of veggies, the pita bread was good too. theburgerwas good, cooked perfectly. atmosphere, meh. bar service, great and good drink specials.

if you want an amazing burger, this is the place to go. yes, it's a little pricey, but it's worth it for the quality of the food. the menu isn't large, but there is a good variety. there is more to choose from than just burgers, but the burgers are the real reason to be there. everything comes a la carte, but to be honest just aburgeris filling enough... i've never even tried the fries here (though i've been told they're good)! i have tried the onion rings though and they are fantastic (i'm a bit of an onion ring snob, so this is important to me). and the milkshakes are deliciously creamy and perfect. plus there's pie... oh the pie!

if you want cheap, go to one of the fast food places on any corner and you'll get the low quality you pay for. but for a delicious, high quality, hearty meal i would recommend the rail.

never again!. hands down the worst experience i've had in years! first of all, our server robert was very rude. this was my first experience at this restaurant today and i had to ask my brother if this was a place like "dicks last resort" in the flats because of how rude our server was. very brash and sarcastic, not welcoming at all. secondly, i ordered 7th heaven, and theburgercame out with only bacon on it. even the guy who delivered our food said "only bacon" when he set it down. myburgerwas supposed to arrive with truffle butter on it and red onion jam. i waited about 5 minutes from robert to arrive to be able to tell him that my order wasn't correct. in the meantime, my family felt rude eating without me, so they waited, letting their food get cold. when he took myburgerback to the kitchen where the cooks are freely able to see the customers, i saw both of the cooks give me a nasty look. when robert brought it back, myburgerwas halfway slid off the bottom bun, showing the red onion jam that was supposedly already on the burger, (it wasn't, i showed my whole family that all i had originally was aburgerwith just bacon on it), and an additional red onion jam, and the truffle butter that should have arrived with it originally in a little container. his words to me where "we also gave you extra truffle butter and red onion jam that were originally on theburgerwhen it arrived to you" as if i lied to him when i first sent it back. making me look and feel like an idiot in front of my family. i looked at the cooks again, and one of them had a staring contest with me, as if "i dare you to give me a dirty look". i didn't eat another bite of that sandwich. i gave it to my husband when i got home, i was too disgusted with their service to even enjoy it. when my husband ate it, it was very well done, and i ordered medium well. i'll never go back again, bad service will ruin good food, and i'm telling everyone i know to not go either. i work in real estate and come across a lot of new buyers and customers to the area, so i'll be sure to tell them not to go to this establishment. the rest of my family couldn't believe the treatment we had either. they won't be back. rude cooks and rude server, no thanks!

awful. we went as a group 10 people for my birthday. my fiancésburgerdidn't come out until the rest of the group was half way finished, then it was so burnt he couldn't eat it. i ordered myburger"medium" which should've been pink all the way through, it was well done. my sistersburgerwas also badly burnt, and her soda was flat. the only decent thing was the mac n cheese bites. we will absolutely never be going back.

last night, my husband and i went to the rail in north olmstead. it was quite busy, we arrived around 730. the wait was around and hour, so we sat at the bar and waited for a table. once we got sat, we were greeted right away. we got a table upstairs. our server cara was extremely friendly, attentive and super fun. they had $3 long islands all night. i decided to get one, however it did not taste like a long island. cara apologized and quickly got me another drink.

now time for the burgers.. theirburgerof the month is a bruschetta burger, which was incredible. theburgerwas cooked perfectly, and not to mention their beef is local and grass fed! it's a pretty bigburgertoo, so come with an appetite.

i give this place 4 stars. i am definitely coming back and i will recommend this place to others. it's very nice having a greatburgerplace so close to home!

good, but needs help.. i appreciate the local, fresh ingredient concept, and myburgerwas exceptional, but i found the menu a bit limited and slightly overpriced. i visited the new location at great northern mall in north olmsted. their waitstaff was super friendly and generally knowledgeable except when it came to serving a beer; a great disservice to the terrific lineup of local craft brews. chilled far to cold and filled to the rim without head is an amateurish act that should be corrected.

out of this world! i travel and was in akron and saw it and stopped in for lunch. had the bootlegger with sweet potato fries. this place is #1 on my nationwide bestburgerlist. it would take a lot to dethrone it for me anyway.
sat at bar, service was impeccable. was lunch so i did not partake of beer but they have a nice selection in both bottle and draft. get in here for aburgerand you will not be disappointed.

such an awesomeburgerrestaurant! the burgers are local and always taste amazing! the atomosphere is cozy and personal and the servers are very friendly. i also love how there are monthly specials, that way there is always something new to try! a++ for the rail!

awesome food awesome service. my husband and i went into the rail for lunch today. the food was phenomenal as usual. i got the greenwich pig with truffle fries. delicious. the bestburgerin town. i'm an advid beer drinker and wasn't too sure what i would like since everything is pretty much local, but the bartender diana had great suggestions for me. it was really nice being able to go into a place where you can meet and talk to such a nice young lady about beer. she really knew her stuff! if you go into the rail, sit at the bar and talk to her! you will not be disappointed! she will teach you a thing or two! now, all they need to do is get vanilla porter and then we will never leave!

pat on the back!. i have been to the rail two times and loved it each time i visited. the first time i was there it was one of their coveted beer samplings - which was awesome! these shindigs take place monthly at their community table and everyone gathers around the "beer guy/gal" and learns about the beer they are tasting. while they are presenting, you also get yummy rail bar snacks. for our tasting we got mac & cheese bites, loaded chips, and the most amazing fried pickled green beans!

having such a great experience the 1st time i was there, i wanted to try it out again this weekend as a "regular patron." this time i shared the greenwich pig and swapped theburgerout for a veggie burger. oh wow! it was amazing!! we ordered chips to go along with it, and tried out the provolone sticks for an appetizer. it was all great!

the staff is great, too. both times we have been there we have been taken care of very well. we sat at the bar and the super-friendly bartender even gave us a sample of one of their awesome milkshakes! i'm guessing there was a little left in the cup, and our lucky day!

i highly recommend the rail to anyone who is looking for a hip place to grab aburgerwith some friends! and i give this "burger joint" a huge pat on the back for also having veggie options that actually taste great!
