always amazing service!. my husband and i make the trip to fairlawn regularly just to eat at the rail. we always have amazing service and amazing food. even if we have to wait for a table we usually can sit at the bar and enjoy great suggestions from the bartender and a variety of beer or a cost effective drink special. i really enjoy the rotating menu it gives us something new to try along with our favorite regular menu items. we have tried many different things and have never been disappointed! my husband and i both highly recommend this restaurant!

no wonder you always have to wait to be seated. their burgers are the bomb!!!

never again!. hands down the worst experience i've had in years! first of all, our server robert was very rude. this was my first experience at this restaurant today and i had to ask my brother if this was a place like "dicks last resort" in the flats because of how rude our server was. very brash and sarcastic, not welcoming at all. secondly, i ordered 7th heaven, and the burger came out with only bacon on it. even the guy who delivered our food said "only bacon" when he set it down. my burger was supposed to arrive with truffle butter on it and red onion jam. i waited about 5 minutes from robert to arrive to be able to tell him that my order wasn't correct. in the meantime, my family felt rude eating without me, so they waited, letting their food get cold. when he took my burger back to the kitchen where the cooks are freely able to see the customers, i saw both of the cooks give me a nasty look. when robert brought it back, my burger was halfway slid off the bottom bun, showing the red onion jam that was supposedly already on the burger, (it wasn't, i showed my whole family that all i had originally was a burger with just bacon on it), and an additional red onion jam, and the truffle butter that should have arrived with it originally in a little container. his words to me where "we also gave you extra truffle butter and red onion jam that were originally on the burger when it arrived to you" as if i lied to him when i first sent it back. making me look and feel like an idiot in front of my family. i looked at the cooks again, and one of them had a staring contest with me, as if "i dare you to give me a dirty look". i didn't eat another bite of that sandwich. i gave it to my husband when i got home, i was too disgusted with their service to even enjoy it. when my husband ate it, it was very well done, and i ordered medium well. i'll never go back again, bad service will ruin good food, and i'm telling everyone i know to not go either. i work in real estate and come across a lot of new buyers and customers to the area, so i'll be sure to tell them not to go to this establishment. the rest of my family couldn't believe the treatment we had either. they won't be back. rude cooks and rude server, no thanks!

been there many times!. have been there numerous times, service is always great and the burgers are the best!

awful. we went as a group 10 people for my birthday. my fiancés burger didn't come out until the rest of the group was half way finished, then it was so burnt he couldn't eat it. i ordered my burger "medium" which should've been pink all the way through, it was well done. my sisters burger was also badly burnt, and her soda was flat. the only decent thing was the mac n cheese bites. we will absolutely never be going back.

the rail is located at the summit mall – but don’t let that deter you, since it’s not truly inside the mall, but instead part of a row of restaurants on the the mall’s south edge. which is good because last i checked you can’t serve alcohol as part of the food court, can you? if that’s changed then i may need to make more visits to the mall.

amazing. these aren't cheap soy burgers. it's all real, high quality meat. great drinks, great service. we will be coming here again. yum.

good, though limited. first, the positives. it's inexplicable that a heavy farming state like ohio has so few restaurants (at least, this far north) the emphasize "local and organic." my wife and i have even seen some restauranteurs who sneered at the idea when it came up in casual conversation. yet it's big in many other states in the midwest, such as wisconsin, illinois, and indiana.

so to the rail. they're big on ohio-sourced beef, and ohio-brewed micro-beers. i agree with a previous reviewer that the menu is too limited: they could provide a greater variety of meats and toppings, or at least the option of many more cheeses. but the burgers themselves have been large and well-cooked on all three times we've visited for lunch; the pickles were very sour, the sweet potato fries not overly oily. the service is polite and conscientious. it's a small chain, and i hope it never loses that sense. in the meantime, i can only hope they open up their menu a bit more, but we'll be coming back repeatedly over on-coming months.

awesome burgers and shakes and wonderful customer service. it was busy when we went, but everyone made sure we were enjoying ourselves. we will definitely be making this a regular place.

awesome mushrooms and the local yokel is to die for!

last night, my husband and i went to the rail in north olmstead. it was quite busy, we arrived around 730. the wait was around and hour, so we sat at the bar and waited for a table. once we got sat, we were greeted right away. we got a table upstairs. our server cara was extremely friendly, attentive and super fun. they had $3 long islands all night. i decided to get one, however it did not taste like a long island. cara apologized and quickly got me another drink.

now time for the burgers.. their burger of the month is a bruschetta burger, which was incredible. the burger was cooked perfectly, and not to mention their beef is local and grass fed! it's a pretty big burger too, so come with an appetite.

i give this place 4 stars. i am definitely coming back and i will recommend this place to others. it's very nice having a great burger place so close to home!

good, but needs help.. i appreciate the local, fresh ingredient concept, and my burger was exceptional, but i found the menu a bit limited and slightly overpriced. i visited the new location at great northern mall in north olmsted. their waitstaff was super friendly and generally knowledgeable except when it came to serving a beer; a great disservice to the terrific lineup of local craft brews. chilled far to cold and filled to the rim without head is an amateurish act that should be corrected.

didn't make me tingle. good not great. goodnotgreat. notgoodenough for the up price. costs more but the betterness does not equate the price differential. better than average but not worth the price.

food is great; theme/environment is cool---all about local from beers to cuisine to desserts. burgers and shakes were simply outstanding. my only "beef" would be the price---about $17-20 for a burger, fries, and shake---and small space, but at the end of the day its nice to have a high quality local joint!
