ho hum.... tried this place last weekend for the first time. over the past few months i had several people touting their food so we had to give it a try.
i was not as impressed with the food as i had hoped to be. they brought out my gumbo first and mine was tasty and spicy ( though thick and on the dry side ) but the added rice was either undercooked ( crunchy ) or possibly too overcooked and crispy, not sure which. could not eat it and sent it back with the waitress. i had the cuban with a side of onion rings and it was ok. have had better cubans even here in ocala. the onion rings were just so-so, nothing to crow about either.i did have the mojo sauce for dipping and that is wonderful. would recommend that to everyone...
as far asservicewas concerned - no complaints at all. we had a real efficient and super pleasant female server.
i will give mojo's another shot as i know sometimes things just go wrong and it can happen even in the best establishments...the beer was cold!
in closing i will say that everyone else in my party seemend pleased with their food and theirservicetoo.

worst cuban sandwich ever. i have been to mojo's a number of times --serviceis irratic -sometimes good other times awful -- but recently i tried their famous cuban sandwich -- it was the absolute worst cuban sandwich i ever had -- to get a real cuban try la teresita in tampa, or the columbia in tampa or even the front porch in dunnellon -- don"t waste your money on a cuban at mojo's

good food at a good price. my wife and i go to the mojo grill frequently. it is one of the most consistent restaurants in town for food quality and the prices, although recently increased, are very reasonable. my only qualm is theservicesince moving to the new location. a large part of the staff was freshly hired during the move, and i think a lot of them still have yet to find their footing.

my usual menu choices are:
pulled pork nachos - the full order is big enough for 2 to share for an entree and the bbq sauce is superb
jappy joey - one of the few places that can serve a burger rare enough for me, plus bonus jalapenos
cuban - by itself this is ok, but add some mojo sauce and you will become addicted. the mojo sauce is so tasty i could drink it.

flavor everywhere.. i was impressed from the second i stepped out of the car and could smell delicious pork. theservicewas fantastic, the atmosphere was unique but cohesive and the food... man the food was incredible.

who actually reviews this place?. the food is subpar, theserviceis bad, and the prices are unreasonable given the other negatives. i cannot believe that any actual diners are writing these glowingly positive reviews. do yourself a favor and stay away from the mojo grill. there are several better options for cuban cuisine- don chepe's and latin american cafe are both outstanding with great food, prices, and service.

i don't necessarily think this place is setting the world on fire; but i always enjoy my food, theserviceis some of the best in ocala, and they actually know how to handle take-out(like serving the cheese seperate for our loaded fries). place is solid.

mojo repeat. i didn't realize it was a year ago that i tried mojo's until i went to write this review, wasn't very impressed last time but was ready to see how things have changed and suffice to say not much difference this time either. i ordered an appetizer and it came from one server while my entrée came from another back to back. ended up bringing it back to the hotel. the mojo burger was ok, plenty of it and could barely finish it, but the soggy waffle fries were greasy and took away from the burger. theservicehowever was very friendly and courteous. the crowd noise was very loud and made the entire experience something that i don't need, don't get me wrong i like atmosphere but patrons were literally screaming to be heard at their table guest. this acoustics needs to be addressed and took away from the experience also. sorry mojo, i wanted - was hoping for some good to review about, maybe next year?

mojo hohum. i read the reviews on here yesterday and since it was on the top of the list, thought i would give it a try. monday was all the wings you could eat special so i took the challenge. ordered a side of waffle fries. fries came out first - warm; soon turned cold before the wings came out. the wings were ok at best, but i was hungry and went for a second order trying to get some hot wings, neither order was hot in flavor, they were hot from the oven. on a scale of 1 - 10 = solid 5; had some trivia dude, screaming on the over-loud pa system, no one wanted to play.
much better wings at publix, spice them they way you want when you get them home.

not for us. my husband and i went for the cuban and fried pickles. not impressed with the cuban, and burped the pickles all afternoon. best cuban we have had in ocala is downtown at o'mallys. i was told that mo jos was better but i have to disagree.

theservicewas on point, waitress was very nice and stayed on her toes.

oh, the waffle fries were cold, too.

we won't be going back.

mojo is a go go!. i was back visiting ocala again. thsi time i tried mojo's for dinner. ok! say what! slap yo mama! kind of good!servicespot on. atmosphere perfect. food off da chain! i had the cuban. this thing was stupid good! so flavorful. the pulled seasoned pork was perfect cooked, the cheese and the cilantro were done perfectly and the mojo (pronounced mo-ho) is so good. just made the sandwich explode in your mouth. the waffle fries were cooked prefectly. this place has got it goin on. welcome to flavortown everybody! check em out!

yum and oh!. one of my families favorite joints...well, used to be. since they've moved to their new location, we were lucky to get a table yesterday. we have tried several times to get in, but with 2 kids under 3, an hour and a half wait seemed a bit much. so, got right in yesterday just to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for a burger! and we weren't the only table with that issue in our section. the food, when it finally arrived, was awesome! no complaints there! rondo knows good eats. but theservicewas lacking, to say the least. we shall give it a few months and see if they nipped their kinks in the bud. i sure hope so.

yum!. we have been to mojo's several times. theservicecan be hit or miss as far as being slow, but it is always pleasant. the food has been delicious every time. we have tried several things on the menu and have never been disappointed. we were just at the new location on saturday. i had the baja chicken tacos......delicious!!!! my husband had the cuban which was good too. we also love the pulled pork nachos. the new place looks great!

bad memories of a special night. we went there on 3/9/13 for my son's wedding rehersal dinner. he had made the reservation more than a week before. we had a party of 18 including 2 children and 2 infants. when we got there (on time),we were told we would be waiting a while as the seats that were supposed to be for us would be needed for a large party of friends of the owners that was coming in later. we finally were seated after 45 minutes waiting for a table. we were given one waitress and the bartender finally took our drink orders. after 20 more minutes they finally took our order which was about the time the large party of the owners friends and family came in. they were seated and served immediately and their orders were taken. the other large party was done with their appetizers and starting on their dinners when they brought out our appetizers and dinner at the same time, almost an hour and a half after we got there, needless to say the children were going crazy and my son was embarassed and furious. they also brought us a bucket of beer that was labeled as the "sanitizer" bucket. definately a foodserviceno no. i had ordered an appetizer of potato skins and they were cold in the middle and a cheeseburger medium and it came medium rare at best. needless to say neither i or any of the wedding party will be going back to mojo's. the food andservicewere unimpressive. it is unfortunate that my son and his fiance will have such a poor memory of his wedding rehersal dinner.

great food. we eat there around 2 times a month. the food is always awesome, my husband loves that the wings are grilled and its my son's favorite mac and cheese. theservicecan be hit or miss, but the food is worth it!

husband and i have been there 4 times. waitress is always very nice and the only reason she is tipped.
drinks arrive after food, appetizers arrive with dinner or lunch. the waitresses either need to learn to time the input of the orders or get pushy with the kit staff. 2nd drink order always delivered 30 minutes late.
what gives?

hit or miss with this place food andservicewise but i tried the pork fajitas and now i wish it's what i could eat all day every day. moral of the story if u don't like it the first time give it another chance. lame drink specials btw, he would be wise to try to attract some of the get off at 5 happy hour club
