lots of fun.greatplace for a special night out. really adds up, so be prepared for that. cheese portion wasgreatand well-proportioned. the spinach-mushroom salad was excellent. the entree was fine, but a little too annoying to track how long to cook everything. the dessert was unbelievable, but can you ever go wrong with a melted pot of chocolate with dippers that are desserts in their own right? gluttonous to the highest degree. next time, i'll pass up the entree and go straight to dessert!

good food,greatservice.. the food at the melting pot is always known to be good. although you have to plan to walk away with less room in your pocket after every visit, it's the service that drives me back. this is not my first time at a melting pot, but it was the first time i visited the melting pot in savannah georgia. from the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. and i don't mean the fake smile that everyone puts on in the customer service business, i generally felt as if the crew enjoyed me being there. the bartender, amber, made the best drinks while taking in consideration our personal flavor wishes. in depth and friendly questions and communication made our wait (we had chosen not to call ahead and have reserve seating) for our table to be both highly enjoyable and comfortable. our server, marvin, furthered our continual enjoyment by giving us helpful advice on the menu and the area (we informed him that we where visiting and wished to know more about the area). i find that the staff there maintain a professional standard while still managing to bring you an experience that will make you never want to leave, and begging to come back again. 5/5.

come hungry...leave with a full tummy!. my husband and i live in savannah and love fondu, so we were excited to find the melting pot so close to home. we made reservations for a late dinner and night out and had agreatexperience! all of the staff were so hospitable, especially our waitress who was personable and attentive. the space is very private, cozy, and romantic! each course was delicious, there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy. the dessert was by far the best part of the night, so many yummy options to choose from! the cost is worth the amount and quality of food you get! we will definitely be making more reservations for a date night out!

loved it!. my husband and i visited the melting pot to celebrate our birthdays. the food and atmosphere were fabulous and the service was excellent. we were sat at a private booth that provided for a romantic, intimate dining experience. our waitress was very knowledgeable and explained the cooking times, etc ingreatdetail. one of the co-owners even stopped to check on our meal and service. this was one of the best meals we have eaten! everything from the salad to the meats to the chocolate was fabulous! highly recommend to everyone!

very accomodating andgreatladies night out!. my two friends and i were lucky to get a late reservation for the melting pot's girls night out last night and we had a wonderful time! our reservations were very late but they still made us feel very welcome. the manager overheard us being extremely indecisive about what cheese to get and offered to move us to a bigger table so that we could get two different cheeses. what a way to start off! our waiter's name was graysen and he was just so sweet. he was extremely patient and almost overattentive. we could hardly believe he was a brand new server! just such a wonderful restaurant for a good conversational night out. we will definitely be back next month for their ladies night out!

parents night out!. my husband and i love fondue and have have eaten 3 different melting pot's around the country. i can honestly say the savannah melting pot topped them all. we were visiting family in town and my husband and i decided to have a date night, while my inl-aws watched the children. we were seated promptly in a booth set for two. on our table was a rose from my husband, which started the evening off perfectly. we ordered what they call the big night out, changing it up a little to suit our tastes. there was plenty to eat, but we made sure we saved room for there famous flaming turtle for dessert! the evening was filed with delicious food, conversation, excellent service and a fabulous dessert. with two small children at home it wasgreatto sit down for a meal that was not rushed, but instead relaxing as well as entertaining! thank you for agreatdate night, we will be back!

great ladies night!. i came here with 6 friends on monday for ladies night...it was surprisingly the first time that they've done ladies night at this melting pot and it was fantastic! a friend of mine suggested getting a group of girls together (many of whom didn't know each other), and this gave us agreatopportunity to get to know one another. lauren was our server and was wonderful! she actually helped sparked some conversation amongst all of us and gave us things to talk about.
the concept of ladies night is agreatdeal...$22 included plenty of cheese, agreatsalad, and plenty of chocolate for dessert. none of us could believe when the owner actually came over to see how we were doing and offered us a free martini that was out of this world!
we will definitely be back!

great idea....great night...great food. i wanted something different. i wanted good food andgreatatmosphere. i wanted 3 hours to eat, drink, talk, and geniunely enjoy myself. the melting pot is exactly what i wanted and what i got! i think the owners and the staff are very professional. the fondue experience was so exciting and so unique. the food was fresh and flavorful. the ability to prepare your food exactly as you want is fantastic. i highly recommend the melting pot for a very different dining experience. if you want to feelgreatabout $50 a person for an exciting meal without a stuffy or obnoxious environment, this is the place. if you are looking for a cheap and uneventful meal, try the golden corral!

treated like royalty.... my family and i recently ate at the newly opened melting pot and our experience was amazing. when we initially entered the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the owners and a hostess staff. they very promptly took us to our table. we were then welcomed by our server with in a few minutes time. as we looked through the menu we were initially overwhelmed with the choices, but our server went through them and made manygreatsuggestions for the 5 of us to choose from. once we ordered the presentation began and what a fabulous presentation it was! we orderded the 4 course meal, which if it is your first time there i highly recommend. the first course, which was the cheese fondue, was absolutely delicious! we then received our salads which were very fresh and crisp. the third course was the entree, we chose several different meats and fish. this was unbelievable as well. one of thegreatthings about the entree is that they have other healthy options to cook in other than oil and the flavor is to die for! of course the best part of the whole meal is the dessert and i would make a suggestion that you wear loose clothing because you won't be able to stop yourself from eating all this amazing food. in addition to the divine food, the owner and manager stopped at our table throughout the night to check in on us and make sure we were enjoying our evening. the melting pot in savannah is one of the best restaurants that we have been to as far as customer service and food quality. i would suggest making reservations, they are booking up fast!

it's about the concept, not the cuisine. service: a
food: c+

had dinner here with a three friends last night. service was attentive, but you either love the concept or you don't. for me it was more about the social interactions than the food.

the cheese fondue course was tasty, but cooking the meat during the main course was tedious. the 2.5 minute cooking time they suggested was not adequate. things came out undercooked and had to go back in more times than not. if you are the least bit queasy about food prep, then don't eat here.

the chocolate course at the end was the star. i would say this is agreatplace to go for desert after a show at the lucas. unfortunately they close at 10 pm.

also don't be fooled into ordering individual portions. the meat set-ups are enough for two.

price wise it is very expensive. unfortunately this does not translate into value. there are much better meals to be had in savannah for the same money where an expertly trained chef prepares it for you (noble fare, eos, cafe 37, local 1011.) let's not lose sight of the fact that you are basically eating deep fried meat.

warning! warning! beware of the wine pricing. they are shamelessly gouging. for example they offer 7 deadly zins by the glass for $12.00. the entire bottle goes for $11 in the supermarket!

knowledgeable "foodies" will spend their money elsewhere. bottom line: "been there, done that, don't need or want to do it again."
