did you know that one of the most elaborate brunches in dubai is taking place at the seasonal tastes restaurant housed inside the westin hotel, al-habtoor city? the city brunch, as it’s called, invites diners to feast on a massive spread of drool-worthy food along the scenic views of the marvelous dubai canal. it features 6 live cooking stations that offer so many scrumptious goodies that you may face difficulty in deciding what you want to leave out!  there’s a dedicated kids spot with a play area and separate menu for the little ones too, so the adults can dine to their heart’s content without having to keep a strict eye on the tantrum throwers.  
a few foodie friends and i recently tried out the city brunch and were thrilled with the unlimited food options. there was a huge counter comprising of assorted cheese and a separate one for breads as well. then there was the amazing burrata counter where we were allowed to do our own burrata and it was fun doing so as there were over sixteen varieties! from the pan asian station, we loved the awesome collection of dimsums but it was the soup which won our heart. the chef there was putting in freshly hand-pulled noodles bowl after bowl like a pro and i would have definitely helped myself to a second serving of this soupy goodness if there weren’t so many other options to save space for.
the best thing about the indian cuisine station was that it did not offer the traditional buffet options and pleased us with street-food favorites like dosas, chaat counter, paneer tikka, and many others instead. the galouti kebabs from here were really nice. done with finely minced meat and an amazing blend of spices, they were the perfect melt-in-the-mouth quality. the massive english counter was another favorite. we tried the most delicious beef roast which had to be the best one i’ve had in a very long time. in short, there was something for everyone, and a whole lot of it. the sushi and grills too were outstanding.
for desserts, we were again spoilt for choice. there was such a humungous dessert station with irresistible delights lured us into forgetting the calories and satisfy the sweet tooth instead. there were cakes, pastries, tarts, and almost every other delectable piece of sweet treat you can think of. the fried ice cream we tried was really nice.
overall, brunching at this licensed place was absolutely great value for money. what we really appreciated was the fact that unlike many other restaurants where the food options are large, the quality gets compromised, but it was nothing like that at the westin brunch. even with such a massive spread of amazing food options, they have not let the food quality go down. everything was fresh and totally flavorsome. you won’t want to go back home anytime soon!

it was another friday and this time we attended the relaunch of the city brunch at westin dubai in al habtoor city. they have an interesting tagline – ‘where chefs juggle more than just food’ and yes they delivered!. a very large space with modern interior and a lot of sunlight. you have plenty of food to choose from and spend the perfect afternoon. i was excited to try everything! full review on the link below!

last month seasonal tastes, the all-day-dining restaurant at the westin dubai al habtoor city relaunched their popular city brunch. the city brunch is one of the friday brunches in the city that offers a massive spread. my family and i had a fantastic time and we can’t wait to come back again.

perfect place for friday brunches, free flow of liquor makes it worth & yes the view is as well lovely !

food is tasty, staff is courteous, ambience is indeed great !

the city brunch is what i can describe as one of the most elaborate brunches in dubai right now. it happens at the seasonal tastes restaurant at the beautiful westin dubai hotel, al habtoor city. in a nutshell, expect 6 live cooking stations, areas to mingle, activities for adults and kids along with some entertainment from the chefs/dj. it’s so much fun and definitely one of the nicest places to be seen.

nice place and view on dubai canal,food average no variety chinese food was the big part of the dinner .arabic was less and not tasty only the italian part was good salad bar very less,desserts not tasty at all looks good but taste is not good

after a very long time we found a fantastic and affordable brunch. they had food lined out till as far as my eyes could see and every dish was extremely high quality and delicious .

the atmosphere, the staff, the entertainment, the selection of music .. all were fantastic! definitely going back here !

we were a group of 24 people including kids celebrating a birthday. they gave us an entire, cordoned-off section of the restaurant. the food was okay and variety wasn't too great but the brunch was very reasonably priced and the service was exceptional. the staff was friendly and went out of its way to accommodate our requirements. some of us weren't aware of when the buffet ended so they even opened up the dessert section for us half an hour past deadline. do give it a try.

the only good thing about this place is the view of the canal. the variety and the quality of food is extremely poor. some of the items tasted like they were a day or two old! we were here to celebrate our little one's birthday and they had no food for kids. for dubai standards - this place was a total disappointment.

i went to this place with my family and friends on a thursday evening seafood buffet.

this is one of the best seafood buffet in dubai. lots of choices, cleanliness is at its top and the most friendly staff.

the view being so close to the canal is an amazing addition.

loved all the seafood they offered especially the lobster with cheese and mushroom,,, it's amazingly delicious.

they need to improve their sweets counter but otherwise great.

excellent brunch...particularly good value on the entertainer! booking experience over the phone did not inspire much confidence especially when it took them forever to find our booking, but fortunately it was all uphill from there. service staff are all excellent - very enthusiastic and prompt! special mention for the fantastic duo at the wine tasting "bar" . well pleased with this brunch...hope they keep their service standards as they get more popular!

seasonal dinner last night. location is bang on the canal front and from this first floor restaurant you could wine and dine watching the colorful waterfall. service was swift and waiters were attentive. the spread over six cooking stations were crowd favorites ( we were a big jing bang) the dishes were cooked spot on and i couldn't resist extra helpings of their grilled shrimps and fried soft shell crabs not to forget the array of seafood delicacies.desserts were yummy especially black berry mousse cake and raspberry sponge. would definitely go back for a buffet anytime!

we had excellent brunch (the city brunch) at seasonal tastes on last friday. simply i can say that, it was wonderful brunch with lavish food and awesome.  very polite services from the entire staffs, also well decorated and designed restaurant.

the food was very tasteful, more variety and fresh etc..

i have minor issue with the reservation team, when i was booked the table over the phone, i was informed that am planning to attend for wedding anniversary. i was expecting some kind of special cake and wishes from the restaurant, unfortunately nothing was happened. so that it could be great if anyone plan for any celebration please double check with the special request before you reach there.

but anyway overall as i mentioned earlier it was outstanding brunch.

decent spread for breakfast/brunch on a saturday morning.
the only issue was that the containers were not replenished in time. often times you had to ask for more and by the time it was ready you didn't want anymore.
the fresh juice bar was nice. service is decent and staff friendly.

what a great place for lunch! loved absolutely everything about the restaurant! excellent and super polite service, great buffet selection, amazing desserts, beautiful clean and fresh decor, lovely background lounge music! i would highly recommend this place for lunch! the westin hotel is new( and i personally like it more than the w or st regis next door), the decor is so clean and fresh. great ambiance. good for families, good for groups, very good value especially if you use entertainer vouchers. only 145aed per person. they were so kind and polite, they even gave us complimentary coffees take away! i would definitely go back for their friday brunch!
