ambience was good! but the food was very disappointing . weordered4-5 items from
the menu and each one tasted terrible . a little overpriced too.

weorderedpizza, wine and beer. pizza had no salt at all. the sauce and toppings on the pizza was very less. definitely don't recommend ordering pizza here.

we recently visited johnson's cafe. the location is top-notch, the interior is good, but the food was below average.

food - weorderedhot chocolate that tasted like bournvita, a bucket of fries that had around 30 fries, they charged "rs250" for that. pasta in the marinara sauce was almost cold. the only good thing was the pizza.

staff behaviour - the staff was rude when we informed them about the light & water issue in the washroom they didn't pay any attention to that. the service was very sloppy and slow.

the place is old and known, situated in a scenic location which entices people, but, if you are looking for good food and courteous staff, not a place to start. there are better eateries that serve delicious food at a reasonable price.

started with the dirty table which the waiter insisted was clean. it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned for ages and was sticky.
weorderedpizza, baked potatoes and coffee. the hot coffee had turned cold and the food took ages to arrive. called out to one of the waiters to ask for the food but he saw us and turned away! the food (when it finally arrived) wasn't great. half baked pizza and absolutely bland potatoes.

please avoid.

situated in old manali, johnson's serves some really good food and well prepared drinks. the ambience is a very big plus - it is spacious, and the well lit up during the evening. they have both outdoor and indoor seating

now coming to the food. overall it was a great food experience. weorderedcheese balls, chilli cheede fries, paneer tikka with mint chutney, and mixed veg pizza.

strongly recommend the cheese balls, paneer tikka and mixed veg pizza. thr cheese balls are served with plum sauce and salad, and surprisingly they complement each other. the mint chutney served with paneer tikka is to die for. the pizza was also very well prepared. i am a stickler for the pizza base, it was neither too doughy nor too thin - just how i like it!

it is a bit heavy on the pocket, but the food and ambience should be experienced on your visit to manali

first of all, the place seems lit from outside and it was indeed lit once we got inside... the interiors and ambience of the place is super good. now coming back to food, we hadorderedgarlic breads, chicken pizza, veg pizza, chicken burger and veg arrabiata pasta... we liked almost all the dishes except garlic bread and pasta which somehow seemed and tasted like a naan. the pasta was undercooked for which we asked a replacement and gladly they honoured the request and provided a fresh nicely cooked pasta... overall the experience was nice 👌🏻

johnson cafe was the one nearest to my hotel in manali, famous plus in centre of manali mall road i.e. heart of city❤️

wonderful ambiance as we visited around 3 in afternoon😇.. with nice outdoor seating space..🤩🍽

food was amazing.😍
weorderedmushroom bruschetta🍞, veg pizza🍕n coffee☕️.. everything was good in taste.

service and staff were polite🤟

i really do not know how this place has garnered a rating above 4. the price is exuberant, food quality is horrible. the cocktails are ridiculous.
weorderedpizza, wedges, bruschetta, cold coffee, pasta. everything was sub par. i’d recommend not to visit.

it almost took us 13 hours to reach to this place. by seeing the ambience, we expected the food to be good, but it stood against our expectations. weordereda burger and a pizza, the taste was seriously bland

fresh, fresh, super fresh, really good food!
we ended up here after getting confused with johnson’s bar cafe so was initially sceptical. the menu was also small. but the chef really understands good food and ensures every item in the menu tasted amazing. weorderedchilly cheese fries, their homemade burgers, mixed herb trout. and in drinks, we had apple cinnamon martini and rum tody. apple cinnamon martini and trout was exceptional! burgers were really fresh and tasty.
ambience is nice but when we visited there was lack of music. but i’m sure weekend vibes would be better. highly recommend this place for a great calming meal.

went to johnsons cafe on 29th of sep. the resturant took 1000 as a cover charge. the menu is reduced due to covid.. basically they are offering couple of dishes only. weorderedfor a couple of drinks, snacks and main course.to our horror we kept waiting for an hour and we were not even served appetizers. after we raised an issue we were served a dish that we did not evenorderedstaying that this is what we have. there was hardly 2 tables occupied so cant even say that the delay was due to rush. the owner lady was very insensitive towards the delay.. we had to forego of the cover charge and left without eating anything.. then we went to cafe 1947 which is 10000 times better than johnsons. friends dont waste your time at johnsons and go to place where customers are valued and not cheated with the fraud of cover chanrge

we visited manali for the first time and bored of our hotel food wanted to try something different. we finally landed at this place andordereda farmer maker 🍕, oven baked trout and ultimate veggie 🍔. all of them tasted really good and was quite filling. the ambience is lively and fun.

glad we had some good and unique food.

for these 3 items it costed us 2k which is on a higher side. but i guess worth the yummy food and ambience.

went there last month ...ordered the veg soup they have..it was great and i was very impressed. so we took a gamble an decided to have our dinner there. to our bad luck all the dishes iorderedfrom the vegetarian menu ie white sauce pasta, a veg pizza and noodles were below standard products. i am a vegetarian so i can only tell about the veg food. i hope you guys take this as an advice and will up your veg food game. ps the pizza was a paneer something pizza...and the cottage cheese was old and hard.

very beautiful place. the garden outside itself will mesmerize you. there was live music inside so you can get taste of both worlds. iordereda margherita pizza and a veg arrabiata spaghetti pasta. the pizza was really good, the pasta was really oily and could have been better. considering all factors the place is a must visit.

the place has an amazing ambience and feel
it makes you feel you are in such a positive environment
i loved the food and coffee
weorderedfish fingers , cold coffee , watermelon delight, pasta, pizza and garlic bread
my favourite was cold coffee and fish fry
the watermelon delight was not upto my overall expectations so it can be avoided
friendly staff but the food takes around 20 mins because its prepared fresh
overall a great experience and should not be missed
