the johnson's cafe

ambience was good! but thefoodwas very disappointing . we ordered 4-5 items from
the menu and each one tasted terrible . a little overpriced too.

if visiting manali one cannot go without experiencing johnson cafe... fabulous ambience, super hospitality,foodis just tooooo good.

johnson's cafe is one of the best places in manali for working or hanging out. it is spread over a huge area with indoor and outdoor seating and arrangements for live concerts as well. we really loved the ambience !

coming to the food, we tried the following -

👉 virgin pina colada - it made us feel refreshed !

👉 paneer kebab - the paneer were really soft but a little bland in taste.

👉 pepperoni pizza - the quantity easily suffices three people and also it tasted great !

👉 lemon cheesecake - the cheesecake is a must try from this place. it was soft and heavenly !

👉 apple pie - this is nice but i found it sweeter than necessary.

overall, the place offers great ambience but the prices are also on the higher side. thefoodis average except the cheesecake which was really nice ! 🙈

when you enter this property you’re blown away by the aesthetics and decor. perfectly located near circuit house road . its a huge property with indoor and outdoor seating. chicken tikka and pasta in mixed sauce are a must try. though its a little high priced but when you experience the live music with greatfoodand drinks it becomes a worthwile experience. its a must visit place when going to old manali.

pathetic!!!!!! i went here for my anniversary brunch . they took forever to get a burger . ultimately we had to cancel and leave . bad service , averagefood. better rest in your hotel than exploring this place.

i love the ambience of johnson's so beautiful and quaint but the good is very average compared to it. was quite disappointed during a recent visit. the menu sounds fancy and delicious but in comparison thefoodwant up to the mark.
it's also way to overpriced for the quality of food.

when in manali , its worth visiting

we recently visited johnson's cafe. the location is top-notch, the interior is good, but thefoodwas below average.

food - we ordered hot chocolate that tasted like bournvita, a bucket of fries that had around 30 fries, they charged "rs250" for that. pasta in the marinara sauce was almost cold. the only good thing was the pizza.

staff behaviour - the staff was rude when we informed them about the light & water issue in the washroom they didn't pay any attention to that. the service was very sloppy and slow.

the place is old and known, situated in a scenic location which entices people, but, if you are looking for goodfoodand courteous staff, not a place to start. there are better eateries that serve deliciousfoodat a reasonable price.

what could go wrong in a café situated in such a scenic location? turn out anything and everything...from rude waiters, lazy service to gut wrenching food. even the bare minimum expectation of taste of highly overpricedfoodis not satisfied by this café...lamb tasted like shit, chicken was overly normal and pasta was below a third grade restaurant. on top of this it took more than half an hour to serve these shitty dishes...no feedback mechanism

started with the dirty table which the waiter insisted was clean. it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned for ages and was sticky.
we ordered pizza, baked potatoes and coffee. the hot coffee had turned cold and thefoodtook ages to arrive. called out to one of the waiters to ask for thefoodbut he saw us and turned away! thefood(when it finally arrived) wasn't great. half baked pizza and absolutely bland potatoes.

please avoid.

situated in old manali, johnson's serves some really goodfoodand well prepared drinks. the ambience is a very big plus - it is spacious, and the well lit up during the evening. they have both outdoor and indoor seating

now coming to the food. overall it was a greatfoodexperience. we ordered cheese balls, chilli cheede fries, paneer tikka with mint chutney, and mixed veg pizza.

strongly recommend the cheese balls, paneer tikka and mixed veg pizza. thr cheese balls are served with plum sauce and salad, and surprisingly they complement each other. the mint chutney served with paneer tikka is to die for. the pizza was also very well prepared. i am a stickler for the pizza base, it was neither too doughy nor too thin - just how i like it!

it is a bit heavy on the pocket, but thefoodand ambience should be experienced on your visit to manali

the best cafe in manali for sure. ambient seating inside and outside. bestfoodoptions with great taste and reasonable pricing. loved the visit. i wish they had more options in the mocktails !

tried their famous almond sauce trout and stuffed chicken breasts and i have to say, the trout didn't really resonate with me. the place definitely is one of the best in terms of the vibe, but thefoodwas only a 3 star for me. the service was extremely poor though.

very much a psuedo place , the customer experience is bad . regarding thefoodit's as much as like a roadside place , compared to other cafes here in manali like lazydog or riverside thefoodquality and taste stands very substandard. ambience is fine and the live music was horrible

interiors are amazing andfoodwas nice too but i'll let you know that the staff members doesn't behave well they don't know how to behave with the customers. they are very rude and there service is very slow. i'll never recommend to go there instead go to other restaurants/cafe . note(owner):- kindly check on your staff asap for better future.
my overall experience was pathetic so i'll not recommend to others.
