we ordered the salmon sashimi and teriyaki fish bento. generous portions i thought, but perhaps not quite enough if you're reeeeally hungry. quick service andgreatselection.

amazing food and amazing staff. it'sgreatvalue for money. my dad never likes any restaurants we go to but this is the first time he has approved of the food 👌👌

great honest good japanese food, good selection and drinks. it'sgreathow they offer japanese beer, it compliments the meal well. the pricing is fantastic.
i recommend a scoop of green tea ice cream to finish the meal off - tasty and cheap.

my experience with service is that they are usually slow coming to your table to take orders. i've had to go up to the counter myself most of the time. but again, i'm not too worried. but once your order has been taken, food arrives quickly and the staff are polite.

forgreattasting food and value - i'm not expecting super decor. it's comfortable. sometimes a little unclean... but hey, i come here for a casual outing, nothing more. i've gone to many overpriced japanese restaurants that may be nicer in decor, but they don't come close to the price and quality of food.

i always walk away satisfied.

came here for dinner on a thursday.greatto have byo option. good location and friendly staff. food was pretty good, the deep fried tofu was yummy. not a bad option for cheap japanese in dunners, though is more japanese fusion.

consistently good every time means i am never let down with the high level of customer service andgreattasting food. the bentos are amazing and the chicken katsu curry is to die for.

agreatplace for a night out and byo! the place has a nice atmosphere, convenient location, friendly staff, they're simply fantastic. not to mention the wide selection of sushi is fantastic, and they do the bento right! (finally!) even with takeaway, they use the proper bento box like in japan!

sure, the food isn't as accurately cooked and a little too westernised, but there are so many things that the other places like jizo can't offer and i can simply live with that. but please, for the love of god, stop putting tomato sauce on karaage! that's just wrong.

if i had to nitpick on one thing, the menu doesn't have a wide range of dishes compare to the other places.

jitsu is fab - the chicken curry don is always delicious, awesome staff,greatatmosphere. they are usually really fast too. the hosimaki isgreatas an entree, salmon is yum. we always leave jitsu really full and happy and having had agreattime.

awesome restaurant!greatservice, they even made me a meal that i was keen for all day that wasn't on the menu! good food and good vibe. definitely among the top japanese food in dunedin. (there is a lot!) i'm making another booking right away.

we go there regularly and take all our friends there too and really love it.mostly we order bentos which are really delicious andgreatvalue but we have liked everything we tried! the staff are really friendly, sometimes a bit overwhelmed by the many people wanting to dine there but that is understandable as it is such agreatplace to eat out.

i went in not knowing what to expect but the place lookedgreatand the food was even better. it was very cheap i bought the bento which was only a $15.90 and it came with heaps in it. overall a pleasant experience and would definitely go back.

my absolute favourite japanese restaurant. fantastic menu, lots of choice,greatprices (my wellington friends couldn't believe what good value their meal was!) and friendly staff. sometimes they struggle when they are busy, but we forgive.
