the flipping egg

good service, bad food. went in for a late lunch on a friday afternoon, there was only one other table being served,( not a good sign ) waitress gave great service. but, when the food arrived could have gotten better food at a gas station. salad that was ordered did not have everything in it ( asked for avocado salad, they left out the avocado? ) also ordered the monty cristo , was just bad, no flavor, ham and cheese looked like it came from outer space. french fries were over cooked and soggy. cannot recommend. all the hype, and no boom.

phlegm in my coffee creamer bowl!!!! it was aweful i tried to tell myself it was egg white, but when i saw the booger debris in it i knew better. i tried to play it off i got my order and could not eat my food i told the waitress to take the bowl of creamer away and she looked inside and just threw it away. the waitress came back to our table and asked if everything was ok and i told her no i am grossed out i can't eat. she took my plate away and brought us the check. charged me full price for a plate of food she had to throw away. then when i told her i was not happy with them charging me she said the manager offered me a 10% off card for the next time i come in. i told her the manager should be speaking to me and not hiding in the back. that i will pay for this food, but i am not leaving a tip and you can keep your 10% off card because i will not be back. they where lucky that i was very quiet so that the other guests could not hear what was going on. i ordered the double with a side of hash browns guess the trash can enjoyed it.

good stuff. we stopped in on sunday morning to find many of the tables full.

our service was good with the waitress stopping to update us on the progress of our meal. a 15 top delayed progress but it was worth the wait.

our waitress was clearly very interested in our impression of the restaurant and we saw many happy smiles around us.

check them out should you find yourself in the area, you will not be disappointed.

i tried the chicken & waffles the other day & loved them. i have family in california, and have eaten the chicken & waffles from roscoe's and have wanted the dish ever since then. i am so glad there is a place around here that serves them! i love the service and food from the flipping egg. my friend that went to eat with me got something called the texas hash. i don't remember what all it had in it, but she loved it and talked about it all day so it must have been good.

great food, great atmosphere, good service. i recently ate at the flipping egg. i loved the food. between the group i had with me we got the texas hash, german pancakes, and some eggs over easy with hash browns extra cooked, and bacon. we shared all of our food so i got to try a little bit of everything. i loved the german pancakes and the texas hash. the eggs and bacon and hash brown are a something that i could make at some, but i am pretty sure if i made them at home they would not have been that good! i love the extra crisp with the hashbrowns, and i got the house salsa and put on them and it made them even better! the service was pretty slow, but when she was at the table she was very nice and friendly. i think she was new because she seemed nervous.

coffee is a combination of weak and made with unfiltered water.
i ordered the texas hash plate. egg was overcooked as well as the hash browns.
atmosphere was dreary...

sunday brunch. we started going to the flipping egg a few months ago and have made the restaurant our go to for sunday brunch. we have had a few of the items on the menu but i usually get the normal. no complaints from this person. the wait staff are all super friendly and informative with their menu.

our experience was mediocre at best. my mother and i went into to see what the new buzz was about. we soon realized we were going to be paying the new restaurant price for something we just eft home for and could have cooked much better. how do you even mess up scrambled eggs? the "ruben" was a joke. i was very disappointed the meat was so deli cheap and tasted like spam :/ the service was ok.

probably the worst restaurant in abilene. first, the service is foul. pretty sure we had the actual owner wait on my family and she was the worst waitress my cup was empty the entire time. our order took over 30 minutes and it came out cold! the restrooms were disgusting and we could hear the staff yelling in the back. terrible experience. don't waste your time or money.

the blt was not very good, bread too hard, bacon overcooked. the chicken and waffles were just okay. the german apple pancakes were good but not worth waiting over 30 minutes for-they should probably let you know it's gonna take that long.

never order take out from this place. i ordered a hamburger and fries. i didnt get my fries and they wanted to charge another delivery fee for their mistake they made. the burger was not even good.we didnt get any thing extra like we asked for.the girl who answered the phone was very rude..

went for breakfast today. they were busy, and on a wait. apparently short staffed. my wife's texas hash plate was supposed to have onions tomatoes and jalapenos cooked with the hashbrowns there was a jalapeno stem and a few raw onions with her raw hashbrowns. so, turns out the owner was our waiter. she didn't ask to replace the plate or attempt to make things right, forgetting about making us happy. in my opinion she should have been expediting food or being an owner/ manager. never going back. ever

glade to have the flipping egg. several of my fiends & i meet at 10am for breakfast. we enjoy the flipping egg. i like to have an omelet with hash browns. the guys have eaten just about everything on the menu. steak and eggs seems to be a good one. serving staff is not consistent. try hard but need training by owner.

nice breakfast. i went there this week for breakfast after having lab work done. i was very pleased. the service was good, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was great. i will definitely eat there again and recommend it for breakfast.

fantastic german apple pancake. the german apple pancake is baked, and is large-enough to give all at your table a bite, they are delicious! the food is fresh, the menu has a little of everything and is excellently priced. the wait staff - well there is no other restaurant that compares with this top notch staff, who makes sure you don't run out of coffee or tea, you'll feel they want you to come back. i recommend them highly!
