much improved. service starts at the hostess stand greeters this was a big sore point as the young ladys previously were quite confused and not in attendance. one this business dinner visit, a manager was on hand with the hostess to properly sit patrons. this manager also visited our table later to check on our food and service. the waiter was very good and the food was excellant. i expecially like the appetisers. i have a steak that was cooked very well, my date had mahi that was very good.
i hope the fish house understands first impressions makes a big difference and keeps a mature manager out front to manage hostess staff. without leadership, it seems to be managed by children.

place to be seen, not eat... if this place doesnt get its act together, it will fail in spite of the owners. tourist may be fooled, but locals hold sway to the success of any eatery, and more and more locals are turning away from this place due to poor quality and poor service.
i knew it was a downhill nite when the young lady handed me a guiness draft... "in a plastic cup". this is a blunder that beer afficianodoes do not forgive, and a sure sign management is inept. no other place on earth would do this. ok ...these folks serve grits...grits..kinda like cornmeal...its grits people...not caviar, not sushi, not steaks..its grits..2cents cost per serving...toss a couple of shrimp on top, charge 11.99...i ordered the club sandwich, tasted fine, but was not like anything called a club sandwich sold elsewhere, and it was very small, more like an appetizer than a meal. i would comment on the service, but there was none..hostess ignored us for 30 minutes, then said our waiter was sent to do a private room...then...well that was it. why doesnt fish house / jackson owners insist managers read reviews?
