the fatty bao

they forgot to give their red chilli, green chilli and peanut chutney.....

i'm context of repute of fatty bao, i expected better packaging. the curry spiller over to salad. plus the rice was regular rice, not sticky rice

if the food is going to be spicy it should be mentioned in the menu. the fatty pho ramen turned out to be spicy, not sure if it was the broth or the chicken.
slow cooked lamb massaman tasted nothing like a massaman curry, some ingredient was a lot more than it needed to be ( couldn’t figure out what), it was way too over powering and left a weird after taste. the meat thankfully was perfectly done. but the curry ruined it for me. overall, quite disappointed. for the money spent on this, the experience was quite poor.

very close to the authentic nasi lemak! i was a bit disappointed that the restaurant didn't send ikan billis. other than that, i think this might be the best nasi lemak in bangalore.

nothing special, the bacon bits could have been crispy !!! simple as that !

the prawn came with wafers in the dish, all soggy and not crispy. could have sent separately in a paper pouch or plastic container. did not expect of a highly rated and high prices outlet

ordered chill crab and prawn bao, teriyaki chicken bao, fatty pho ramen and spicy chicken ramen. the food sucks. horrible. waste of money! the chilli crab and prawn bao tasted like the crab and prawn was stale. the fatty pho had a weird bad taste. the spicy chicken ramen and teriyaki chicken bao was bearable ( lesser if the two evils type)

horrible stale asparagus sushi . the tuna sushi was very average for the price and extremely tiny

no no no. this place has a fancy menu but when you taste the food sucks so bad. the quantity is too less too.

fatty bao is one of my favourite places to eat out. i’ve been here for atleast 6-7 times. the food is just delicious.

dishes to try for sure:

teriyaki chicken bao - the bao buns are just beautifully soft and the chicken inside is delicious.

prawn tempura- my personal favourite. make sure you order 8 pieces one, trust me you would want to each more.

dimsums- full of stuffing inside and the sauces provided on the side goes really well!

duck nachos - if you are feeling a little adventurous

via malaysia ramen is very very good and filling

and my most favourite part -

the japanese cheese cake. this comes with and ice cream, biscuit crumbs and cherry compote. the first time i had this the cake, it just melted in my mouth. however when i recently visited, both the times the cake is not as good as before. it is more hard and the taste is just gone.

the food boxes was not taped , i will refuse next time is it's not taped properly,

the restaurant name itself suggests its signature dish: the bao. this bao tastes somewhat like the softest version of the baby nun. we opted for chicken filling. and the teriyaki glazed chicken came wrapped up inside a literally fat bao. the other dish we ordered was tsukemen ramen. it tastes like top ramen in spicy chicken soup.
the venue is small and that's why crowded. food is good, but the ramen of any flavour is not worth the price. ambience is cool for couples and friends looking to party.

although the looks of everything is nice, the taste was literally zero. it was cold and tasted average. i have been to this place many times before lockdown, and every thing used to be so fantastic. but this time i had a reality check. really disappointed and i’m never going back to this place again.
food:
the avocado and salmon sushi was okay, almost average - 2/5.
fatty pho ramen was little above okay, but the add on bacon was utterly bad - 4/5 for the ramen & 0/5 for the bacon.
the kimchi pork and chinese cabbage momos were good and served hot - 3/5.
bbq chicken closed bao - cold and tasteless. the fillings were not fresh - 2/5.
teriyaki glazed chicken bao was the worst - 1/5.
japanese cheesecake was utterly horrible, it was undercooked - 2/5.

don’t judge a book by it’s cover, the photos must look good but the taste was nothing upto the mark.

and worse part, they charge so heavily and the performance is under delivered.

yesterday was one of the days when i kept trying dishes thinking, ‘oh the next one will be good’. but that moment never came.

putting it out all in the open because we all know that not every restaurant can maintain their quality. and those who love fatty bao or coming here for the first time, maybe it’s time we put a question mark to that!

where is the rice as shown in the menu picture? misleading.
