awful treatment of frequent customers afterfattybao messed up the order

i had a great experience there in terms of both food and service. we had mixed veg and water chestnut dimsums which were the best. fried eggplant open bao was so nice with super soft baos and crunchy eggplant. mushroom ramen was good too. the dessertfattyhill delivered what it said.

there is a 50 rupee option for ‘extra piece’ for some ramens. i chose the option but then got a call fromfattybao asking me what that extra piece is because they had no clue. so basically i’m down 50 bucks because someone listed something wrong on zomato.

so on a weekend i went tofattybao in indiranagar with my friend for afternoon lunch as it is the best place for asian food😍.
so i ordered both food and drinks.
1.teriyaki glazed chicken bao
whch was amazing in taste and the portion size was really good and it is a good starter to start with.
2.bbq chicken closed bao knwn as shengjian bao also which taste super yummy and the dips with them were very good and was pairing very well with the baos.
3.malaysian chicken kapitan curry with sticky rice which was perfect in terms of flavour and was pure bliss to a foodie.
4.green apple and basil sangria
as i am a big fan of sangria i wanted to try this green apple and basil flavour with white wine which was very refreshing.
5.dancing shrimps:whch is also a starter motor f shrimps whch was cooked perfectly with the asian sauces n was a perfect pair to my sangria
overall my experience was amazing with this place in terms of food and drink.
would love to try this place again soon...

the staff is very courteous and helpful in terms of telling about their menu..
presentation of food was upto my expectations.
pricing: the price are normal and for two it costed 3500 approximately with alcohol..

i went tofattybao for the first time after seeing great reviews. overall it was a good experience but it is overpriced. we ordered ramen soup but got maggie noodles instead with maggie powder on top .
a bit disappointed with that .

have been tofattybao multiple times but never thought to write a review. i think it is also because it seems one of those neighbourhood places that you tend to visit pretty often.

what stands out is its consistent delivery - on taste, quality, service. this time, we tried the grilled sambal chicken bao, avocado and cucumber sushi, salmon and avocado roll, smoked chicken and spinach dim sum, and fattys chili chicken. all were damn good!

the place sports a cosy, limited seating ambience. staff is courteous and great at suggesting stuff to try.

we wanted to try something different so went tofattybao. our experience was disappointing. atfattybao you can get various ramen and baos. we ordered cottage cheese bao, mushroom ramen. mushroom ramen was liquidy and bland. the place is quite small. if you get the table towards the road side you can enjoy the view of 12th main. they serve beef also, being a vegetarian not a good experience.

for this price thefattybao has sent half tray full of white rice and small portion of curry. hopeless 😩

never had such a bad experience withfattybao before. one had to look for mushrooms and spinach in the rice. tasted insipid.

loved the place. tofu and beets bao was very tasty. the mushroom broth in the ramen was on point. also thefattyhill dessert which has mint and chocolate is a must try for all the mint lovers. will definitely go back to try more.

as i was craving for some asian food, i thought to visit this restaurant.

what i ordered:

✔️ kimchi baby potatoes
✔️ wild mushroom truffle oil dimsum
✔️fattypho ramen

i had to order a bao here as this place is famous for it. we were looking to order the bao with asparagus but it was not available at that moment. we went for the spicy tofu one, which turned out to be amazing. the bao was as soft and fluffy as a pillow. the filling was just right.

the dimsums were no less, the filling was generous and flavourful. the outer layer was gentle enough to bite and wasn’t chewy. it was served with three dips. loved the dips as well

the kimchi baby potatoes were spicy and garlicky. if you like the garlic taste you will love it. the baby potatoes were tossed so well that none tasted bland.

lastly, comes the ramen for which i was so much excited but that was a disappointment. the broth was not so flavourful and it overall tasted bland. black noodles were supposed to be used but they were not serving it that day.

the ambience is quite okay, pretty dim and small.

can definitely go again for the baos and dimsums here!

expected better - quality and quantity - because it wasfattybao.

the order took more than an one hour 15 min. expected better from zomato &fattybao

pbj is one of our favourite items on thefattybao menu, but this time, we received stewed pork floating in broth. the egg on nasi lemak was overcooked and the add on of char su to the spicy chicken ramen, was missing. when i raised a complaint with zomato and they called the restaurant to provide feedback, the restaurant staff hung up the call in the middle of the conversation. this is not at all acceptable. we understand the struggles that hospitality industry has been facing because of the pandemic, but such an experience will even put off your most loyal customers.

i'm context of repute offattybao, i expected better packaging. the curry spiller over to salad. plus the rice was regular rice, not sticky rice
