the fatty bao

visited this restaurant on sunday for lunch. they don’t have valet parking as stated in the zomato description and the restaurant is quite stuffy and not properly ventilated. the air conditioner was switched off and there were no windows open. staff could have been more attentive.
coming to the food, the dimsum and sushi were delicious but the korean fried chicken had an over riding taste of raw garlic which wasn’t pleasant.
overall it was a very average experience.

the food was very delicious, came in hot and the packaging was very good and delivery was hygenic.

absolutely horrible experience. the ambience was shady. waiter didn’t bother to show to the table but just said ‘jaldi jaldi baitho’ no body bothered to serve any water. after halfway through the mail, someone came and kept empty glasses which never got filled. ordered a drink which turned to be simply sweetened cranberry juice. food was bland and simply uninspired. rudest waiters. one just came up and placed the menu literally on my hand and asked to order main course, since the kitchen is closing and that too at 2:30 pm!

4 of us cousins dropped by this place in a saturday afternoon. the place is small and cosy a bit hard to find because the board is not as evident as the other restaurants in the street.. but don't be fooled by it.

the tables were placed at a good distance from each other.

ok i'm getting right to it!! no complaint what so ever in every dish that we had ordered here!
right from the starters to the main course were lipsmackingly awesome!

even though we were thoroughly stuffed, we were in doubt if we wanted to order desert but boy i'm glad we did. because the difference between the two pictures of the japanese cheese cake and the spoons is less than 3 min!! this was by far the best cheese cake i've ever tasted. the fluffy well balanced cake paired so well with the tangy sweet cherry compote and the ice cream and also the crunchy bits around. i would definitely go back just for the cheese cake! kudos to the chef.

cons: drinks are a tad bit on the expensive side.

the bill for 4 starters, 3 mains, 4 drinks and 1 dessert was about 4700 for 4 people.

california sushi roll was a complete disaster and prawns tempura was poorly rolled. very dissapointed

no sauces with the dimsums, no sauses at all!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’nnnnnnnnnnnnn

expected better - quality and quantity - because it was fatty bao.

quantity of curry was less. bao had so much mayonnaise, i don't expect mayonnaise in asian food. cheesecake was really good

the prawns were not fresh and it was smelling. disappointed

fatty bao’s ramens are the best. i just can’t get enough of it

the ramen was very comforting. chowmein was horrible, the oil it had been cooked in tasted like mustard oil. mushroom and bell pepper bao is very spicy but it wasn't mentioned in the menu

awful taste... and preparation of both dishes...

the order took more than an one hour 15 min. expected better from zomato & fatty bao

pbj is one of our favourite items on the fatty bao menu, but this time, we received stewed pork floating in broth. the egg on nasi lemak was overcooked and the add on of char su to the spicy chicken ramen, was missing. when i raised a complaint with zomato and they called the restaurant to provide feedback, the restaurant staff hung up the call in the middle of the conversation. this is not at all acceptable. we understand the struggles that hospitality industry has been facing because of the pandemic, but such an experience will even put off your most loyal customers.
