i came in here for lunch after a doctor's appointment next door. i sat at the bar and chatted with the bar manager, a couple of regulars, and ended up making some new friends! the pasta special was a smoked shortrib lasagna withfreshricotta, and it was absolutely fantastic. on facebook, they had posted that the reward for finishing the special was a high-five, so i got a good one! even better, their coffee comes with a french press and raw sugar. perfect for national coffee day! yay!

excellent food at a reasonably price. excellent food and service. unique modern cooking style with afreshtaste. we were seated right away on a saturday night even tho we didn't have a resurvation. we both ordered the steak and home style fries, steak was tender and cooked perfection , absolutely delicious. excellent food at reasonable prices, we will definitely be back.

my beautiful brunch finale was the eggs benedict ($10) with missouri ham, brioche, poached farm eggs, and hollandaise. the highlight of this dish was the combo of tender and salty shaved ham and buttery brioche. without a doubt one of the better eggs benedict i've had in town. order with a side of fried potato hash ($2) for a delicious carb-loaded treat. the homemade ketchup is made withfreshherbs and rich tomato flavors.

delicious!. wow! we were in town from minneapolis and went to this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend who lives in kc.

we were not disappointed. we love local, farmfreshfood and chef driven menus so this place fit the bill.

everything we ate from the appetizer to dessert was amazing. we had the short ribs and flank steak for entrees and the beef was grass fed and perfectly cooked. the strawberry shortcake for dessert was a nice way to end the meal.

they have a lot of fun looking cocktails that we did not try and a pretty good beer list. we were kind of disappointed that there weren't more boulevard options. we can't find boulevard many places in minnesota so my husband was hoping to get a good boulevard during dinner. i loved the lavender lemonade mocktail.

our server was nice but lacked in polished service and beer menu knowledge.

we loved the atmosphere and decor. it seemed very homey yet stylish.

we will definitely come back to see what is new on their menu when we are in the area again.

fresh from the farm. we tried the farmhouse out for brunch this morning and it was magnificent! we went with a group of people and everyone tried something different. there were rave reviews all the way around! i started off with the spinach salad. awesome!freshspinach with raspberries, blackberries, peaches and top it off with some fried goat cheese!! i was sold right there! for my main entree i had the eggs benedict, it did not let me down! the others had the steak and duck eggs, corned beef hash, and french toast ( also topped with berries and freshly whipped cream) i tasted them all and they were amazing! i can't wait to go back and try dinner sometime! highly recommended!

amazing andfreshfood. everything was great here from thefreshsalads and cheese plate to the perfectly cooked hanger steak with blue cheese butter and pickled accoutrements!!! thefreshstrawberry pie was amazing, you could tell the berries were bought that morning from the city market next door.

everything was great and i couldn't have asked for more. i would love to have taken pictures but my dining companion kept scolding me :) would write more but i'm in a hurry and just wanted everyone to know it is an exceptional place much on par to many upscale eateries in other cities.

fresh & well prepared. we finally tried the farmhouse, and we were not disappointed. after exploring the area on the delaware wine walk it dinner. for appetizers, we started with chicken livers and a cheese plate. dinner was lamb chops and merguez sausage over spicy orzo, everything wasfreshand well prepared. the service was attentive, but not hovering. we'll be back

delish. one of the best meals in recent memory. we had dinner on the patio with friends. everything wasfreshand delicious. the pork confit is amazing. the service and atmosphere are great and the hostess said they are dog friendly. i can't wait to see what the chefs come up with as the seasons change.

i had a turkey club, which was interesting. instead of sliced turkey breast, they used chunks of juicy, mostly dark meat. the plate was loaded with delicious,freshfries. my only complaint, as another reviewer mentioned, was the ketchup. it just wasn't very good. not bad, just not good.

but the ketchup alone will not keep me from coming back. i will be back for lunch, and i am especially eager to try one of their thursday night dinners.

wow! first of all, the service was impecable. the food was amazing. i had the corned beef sandwich that was made withfreshcooked cabbage and homemade russian dressing. it came with fries and homemade ketchup which was delightful. the homemade pickles were a bit too vinegary for my taste, but what a great experience it was overall. the river market needed something like this! i will definately be going back.
