just can't get it right.. how has this place stayed open? it is the worst. i tried it right after it opened and left saying not again. overpricedfoodat a tepid temp. and awful service. went this mother's day and absolutely the same thing. couldn't believe it. thought they must have figured it our since they were still open. terrible biscuits and they were running a special on biscuits and grave. biscuits were flat and hard and i mean flat. dish was cold. waitress warned one of our party about them but another person didn't hear. breakfast dish i ordered was cold and overcooked. grits were the only thing that was hot. mom's quiche was cold and small. first waiter was not seen again. finally got another waitress that was quite good. i will not support a place that had to know that therefoodwas substandard and still pushed it out kitchen window.

my two cents. the atmosphere was great. the service was very good but i thought thefoodwas just okay. they had just introduced a new menu-i had trouble finding something i liked...i will give it one more try.

the farmhouse. i had been meaning to stop by this cute spot for ages, and finally got around to it last week. i went with co-workers and had the opportunity to enjoy their lovely patio. the atmosphere is quaint and welcoming; it immediately draws you in. our waiter was rather slow on the uptake, but very kind. we ordered the chickpea fritters for an appetizer, which sadly arrived at the same time as our food. despite this, they were very tasty and quite possibly the best part of the meal. i ordered their chicken pesto sandwich, while other dishes ordered at our table included the hamburger and the club. my sandwich arrived displayed beautifully on the plate, seemingly calling to be eaten. with my first bite, however, i registered dismay. the chicken was dry and the pesto was surprisingly flat (the bread the sandwich was on pooled butter when i touched it as well....not appetizing). from others at the table i heard that the burger was good, but not noteworthy; the club was decent but hard to eat due to construction. no one cared for the fries - they weren't salted! the conclusion was that thefoodwasn't worth returning for, but a happy hour would certainly be in line considering the patio and wine list.

farmhouse. like the concept, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. first visit was on a friday for lunch, around 1:00, service was not good but not bad enough to run me away. and while not thrilled with my selection decided it was worth another shot second visit was on a saturday morning for their brunch. only good thing about the visit was the coffee. everything else was bad, bad, bad. service was poor enough that i will not go back. dirty coffee cup,foodcame long before the silverware, and getting the attention of the server was not happening. had the eggs benedict - sauce was bland, most of the flavor came from the "burnt" bread it was served on. the person i was with had the blet - surprise - it came without the egg. never did get a napkin, even though i requested one 3 times. hate to say it, because the concept is one that i enjoy, but will not be going back.

yum!. this was our first time at farmhouse and we were not disappointed! the drinks were great,foodwas delicious and service was wonderful. i had the salmon and ibhigjly recommend it!

an infuriating mix of deliciousfoodand terrible service. seriously, the service will be worse than a fastfoodrestaurant, but thefoodwill be great.

a little underwhelming. the quality of thefoodwas fantastic, being that it is super fresh. however, you cannot make a great dish just by having great ingredients. i had chicken fried steak and eggs and pumpkin pancakes and they were good, but i still needed to find salt and pepper to help it out. i'm thinking this is a place better to have for dinner.

we went for brunch this morning and although thefoodand service were great, i will not come back to this restaurant. it is so so loud in there that my ears were buzzing. we asked to sit somewhere else and the hostess was very nice and moved us. well unfortunately, the noise level is the same anywhere you sit. i could barely hear my friends sitting next to me.
it's too bad because everything else was great.

really liked this place. service was fun, informative, friendly and fast. foodwas also very good and decor is very cute. we will be back.

thefoodhere is packed with flavor, sometimes it's to much. the chef carefully makes sure all the ingredients tie together to compliment the dish the best he can. i didn't love my dish, but it was decent and others in my party really did like what they got. the service could have been a little better but overall it was a pleasant experience.

genuinely the worstfoodin kc i"ve ever had!!! not only was the waitress incredibly rude to our table, but two out of 5 were instantly sick!!! we ate different things and had not eaten out in 3+ days. i called and talked to the supervising manager and she said" sorry there is nothing i can do about it!" thank you so much for the service!!!!!

avoid at all cost. this place is terrible i went there to try to get breakfast on 03/07/15 at 9:30 am. the bartender was extremely rude and kept going on about how the chef yells at her. i tried to order potatoes with breakfast and she started complaining that the chef would yell at her if i ordered those. the couple next to me asked if they could get scrambled eggs and she once again went off about how mean the chef was and how didn't allow any substitution ever for any reason. i ended up walking out hungry. if you are in the area avoid this place there are too many reputable establishments in kansas city with greatfoodto waste your time eating here.

worst wait staff in kansas city. after dining here for the last few years , i am sorry to report it has taken a huge downward spiral . thefoodwhich was once hit or miss now has turned into nothing more than just overpriced hype . there wait staff is not qualified to to work in a soup kitchen . what they lack in experience they make up by acting arrogant and rude. take my advice go try one kc's better ran operations.

excellentfoodat a reasonably price. excellentfoodand service. unique modern cooking style with a fresh taste. we were seated right away on a saturday night even tho we didn't have a resurvation. we both ordered the steak and home style fries, steak was tender and cooked perfection , absolutely delicious. excellentfoodat reasonable prices, we will definitely be back.

rude. pretentious. horibble service. so hipper than thou. but have eaten there lots of times because thefoodis decent. just go at slow times. never on weekends.
