great fresh doughnuts. but get there early when they first open to get a variety. or you will get stuck with glaze or any random doughnut. my favs are the twirl and devils food.

the best!. if you haven't had one of their donuts, you haven't lived!!! amazing stuff here folks!

the best for 20 years. i built their last store next to the gate store. gate moved them into that space cause they were losing money. now they moved back farther down the road (one block more) but the donuts are still the best in the world. nobody has anything on the donut shoppe donuts. i have been to the mecca of sweets veniero's in nyc. they are good but they can't make donuts like the donuts shoppe. period

the best ever. now i have enjoyed theses doughnuts for years. i have never been a real sweets person until i had theses doughnuts. now i worked for gate petro when they bought out the 7-11 chain and this shop was next door to one. well gate closed the store next to the doughnut shoppe and it didn't take long before was missing the shop. we asked them to move and we built them a brand new shop if they would move 2 blocks down and back next to the gate store.

best glazed ever, man. bring cash. there are no other donuts. cinnamon and powdered are classics. the uglies (apple fritters) are as big as your head. i like to nibble on mine for a few days. their glazed will be used as currency one day.

...serving up the awesome since 1962...apple fritter... chocolate bavarian, eclairs, chocolate cake doughnuts and more, but the original glazed is the true star.

these are the best donuts i’ve ever had anywhere!! i love the chocolate-covered glaze. they melt in you mouth especially if the warm🥰🥰🥰🥰. that’s all i can say😋😋😋.

this is simply the best place to get donuts. i love them! they are perfect! you must go and try them for yourself. buy a dozen or two, some holes for the ride and a few "ugglies". every type of donut they have is excellent.

as donut shops go in general it's a little sub par. although, they are the best donuts i've found in the 3 years i've been living in jax. no crullers. the yeast was under developed in the glazed doughnuts. and, i suspect that the cooking oil could have been hotter because they were a little greasy. the bavarian cream was suspiciously pudding-like. and, everything i tried was a little on the overly sweet side. no savory options were offered. :(
for all of that, while i would never recommend this place as a foodie destination, i probably will be back. like i said, depressingly, they're the best doughnuts i found in jacksonville so far. that's not saying much. but, it's something.

this was my first foodie stop once i arrived in jacksonville and i have to say these are the best glazed donuts i have ever had! only downside is you need to get here early as they sell out pretty quickly.

best in the world. seriously. i love their apple fritters, but everything is fantastic. you've got to get there early before all the best ones are gone :)

need to get there early, they sell through a lot of choices, but all of them are yummy! oh and cash only, so stop at the arm before you head there :)

best donuts ever. i like these because they are never greasy and taste yummy. not too sweet either. highly recommend.
