the dog's bollocks at yard

so i’ve heard a lot about this atypic place and was impatient to go see it for my self… located in gardens …during the day the place is called the bitches tits and serves a good range of breakfast and lunch dishes that i heard are quite tasty , but if i’m here its for the dinner action ! by 5pm the place is called the dogs bollocks and they are serving cape towns finest burgers !they are making a definite number of 60 burgers a night,  so better get there early if you don’t wanna miss out , this is totally different atmosphere than anywhere else , as much for the decor orservice.

if you cracked the top 50, well done, as there are only 50 burgers a night served and your only choice is with or without cheese..serviceis average, burger isn't he best you will eat but then u are in a man's garage so experience trumps food

the waitresses have a unique and raw way ofservicethat is actually very effective. burgers are massive but absolutely delicious, great gluten free options too!

this place is every thing .
bubbly , bohemian , loud , rude , edgy and full of joy.
decor with anarchist touch .
the burgers , orgasmic . best in cape town .
theserviceis the best thing and thats simply because they don’t serve you much , they just explain what they can offer you and you move your butt and serve yourself and that’s just makes you feel like you are in the backyard of your friend’s house .
the cheerful spirit of the space is the waitress with the serotonin tattoo , her human presence glues this artistic place .
a must visit .

you can normally rate a pizza place on their margarita, this one cracks the nod. it’s f*cking perfect. they make a delicious bloedlemoen g&t and theserviceis great. non pretentious, on the ball. the decor and quirky quotes add some flavour to the whole experience.

kitchen staff don't wear gloves , work with food with their dirty hands . when we mentioned this we were not even acknowledged by the manager . poor customerserviceand a serious health hazard.

great experience! i'd heard good things about this spot but wasn't quite sure what to expect or whether or not i'd enjoy it...

little did i know!

we got the friendly-rude waitress (winning in my opinion?) and the food was great!
even though we arrived quite late, there was room for us to sit without it being too empty (the vibe was still going strong & it had a warm feel)

if i had to be really picky and critique one part of my experience the fries didn't quite make it to the standard of the rest of the experience.

overall i thoroughly enjoyed my meal & theservicewas excellent 🌼👌🏼

would recommend to mates 10/10

thanks to dogs bollocks for completely ruining a good night with the most patheticservicei’ve received in a very long time.

we went to dogs bollocks after hearing how great their burgers are. we had very high hopes of having a great evening out at a cool restaurant.

we arrived just after 730pm and ordered not long after that. by 845pm no food had arrived with no communication from any staff. a little later our waitress came past and asked if we’d received our food yet. we said no and she disappeared again with no explanation. finally at 915pm we went and asked what was going on and we were told our food would be another 10 minutes. that would make it nearly 2 hours since we ordered. we decided to leave because by now both of us were absolutely starving and sick of their excuses.

now i understand a long wait at a popular restaurant during busy hours, however, we sat and waited while all the tables around us were served and turned around. there was no communication, no explanation and no apologies. our wait wasn’t due to a busy kitchen - our wait was because they forgot our order.

they have a bad attitude. i will never go back there, which is a pity because i hear their burgers are great.

i was invited here for a friends birthday. it’s got a whole-in-the-wall appeal which unfortunately missed the mark for me completely. i didn’t love the mish-mash decor or theservicewhich apparently calls for a culture of yelling at customers and using terms like ‘bitches’ for the bathroom etc - not my vibe. the wine was served in a tiny glass and the menu food prices were far too expensive, even for the large portions. the burger patty was very pink in the middle- not something i enjoy. i wouldn’t return or recommend.

love the new pizza menu! the condiments that are served with the pizza are generous and add to the experience. friendlyserviceand nice spot to sit.

honestly i rateservicebefore food and theservicehere is incredible . the food is also amazing i'm in love with the blue cheese burger and the american burger 🍔 😍... also the idea of being able to bring your own drinks is fun and inviting . the vibe is just great ☺️🎉.

an absolutely interesting experience. the place looks like everything i've seen in american movies, very different from the south african experience. lovelyserviceexcept they are very loud. the burgers are delicious, very saucy, raw sauce (get it?). one of the best burgers i've had in cape town, very large and worth the money. definitely a place to check out

reason for going: some friends have been talking about this place that they accidentally found a couple of months ago, it billed itself as the biggest burger in town, so we all eventually decided to go together.

food and drink: i had a bottle of sparkling water and then had the jalapeño pepper burger, the burger is big but it really lacked in flavour to be honest and it's not one i would recommend to any of my friends.

service: i still struggle to adapt to the speed or rather slowness ofservicein cape town. the waitress from last night though definitely wins the prize for nonchalance...she was rude and didn't explain clearly how the ordering process works and when asked to pease explain again she grew impatient. the menu could do with some descriptions with regards to what ingredients go into every individual burger as it just says the name of the burger so upon ordering you are actually in the dark as to what will be brought in a plate for you. the waitress then added a "mandatory" 15%servicecharge, this explains her attitude as this means that she will get a tip even if she doesn't offer good service!

ambiance: the place is okay and nothing to write home about as the decor is a mish mash of a hipster slash biker bar vibe. they have an outside deck on the upstairs level which would be great to sit on when the sun is out.

supersize good burgers. crispy fries. good selection of drinks. i like the selfserviceway of ordering and all the concept around that restaurant

i really enjoyed my experience here. the restaurant itself is a little small and the menu is limited but if you're in the mood for great burgers that is exactly what you'll get. the burgers are super tasty and the ordering system is quite fun. they only make a certain amount of burgers per night, so make sure you get their early. theservicewas great as the waitress was really friendly and interactive.
