i've had the cutting edge café on my "to visit" list for quite a while. after i read the review from joe d. i knew this would be a goodplacefor lunch as i found myself in the greenbrier area for lunch. i stopped in and really liked this little spot. the décor is very charming and laid back. the service makes theplaceeven better. super big smiles and lots of welcoming voices. i was greeted and had my order taken only moments after stepping in. as you all know i am freak for club sandwiches, so i had to try the avocado club panini that joe d. ordered. i got a side of regular fries and a cold diet coke. the food arrived quickly. it was amazing. the club was juicy fresh and delicious. the avocado was creamy and delicious. the panini was soft with just the right amount of crunch form the grill lines. the fries were piping hot and even more delicious with ketchup! my drink was cold and tasty. this is a go toplacefor lunch diners. i really like this little "joint", give them a shot, heck give them 5 or 6 shots. you will be happy you did. i am going back soon!

if you are looking for fresh locally bought food that tastes phenomenally great...this is theplaceto go! you will not be dissapointed with this husband wife team that truly know how to make it work!!! cant wait to come back when i am in that area again!

great place. really enjoyed my meal and love that i knew where the food was coming from. ill definitely be back. the decor could use a little work though the wholeplaceis carpeted i felt like i was sitting in an office building

i discovered cutting edge on my way home tonight via urban spoon. what a great find. i've been trying to eat cleaner and fresher for health purposes and thisplaceis perfect for that. friendly and personable staff, clean inviting environment, and great fresh and mostly local food. i got the medi (mediterranean) veggie panini and it was awesome. service was quick and there was none if that pretentious vibe you get at some organic restaurants. i definitely recommend cutting edge and will be back myself.

as an extremely critical foodie, i can wholeheartedly say thisplaceis awesome! unique flavorful combinations that thoroughly delight the senses. can't wait to return!

worlds greatest carrot cake!!. i took one oftheir carrot cakes to my work potluck today and it was the hit of the day! i got so many compliments not only on the taste but how beautiful it was with all of the nuts and cranberries!!!!! next year this will be my gift to all of my friends. and the best part is that when i deliver it they will probably ask me to stay and have a piece...lol they said they plan to start serving dinner after the first of the year...

love this place!. i work in norfolk and will often spend my entire lunch hour running there to grab a quick sandwich. the turkey avacado is my favorite but i recently tried the ultimate grilled cheese and it was just as good. as far as salads go the strawberry goat cheese salad is heaven. i hope someday the expand and open aplacecloser to work!

very unique!. i was pleasantly suprised to find this gem tucked away on sam's dr. the menu is genius! thisplacecould easily be successfully franchised. i am confident everyone who eats there loves it. congratulations to the nice couple who are the owners.

i love the cutting edge! i love the cool hip feel when you walk in. i also love the people who work there. they are all really nice and the really seem to care about making our experience fantastic. the couple that owns the restaurant are so cool and have the cutest baby! but the food is to die for! i can never decide what to get because it is so delicious. the goat cheese and roasted veggie panini has to be my favorite! i recommend thisplaceto everyone!

the cutting edge cafe. well my first impression walking in was that it looked cold and not a warm place. the chalk board was very over whelming. they did however have a printed menu to look at, thank you. i was surprised that the bread choices were, white, wheat or sourdough. where was the flatbread, focaccia, ciabatta or even french ?? no choices! sorry but the sides were ok for foodies like me but how about plain old fries and chips for partners who just want more plain choices? i feel this could be a greatplacebut it is lacking in choices ...even a little would help. we choice 2 sandwiches and 1 drink and it rang in at over $20 we just expected a little for that price like more choices.
