the cutting edge

delicious, unique and tasty!. i have visited the the cutting edge cafe twice now, and i am both times my sandwhich was uniquely delicious. what is very impressive about the cutting edge is that they try to utilize local products into thier menu, including produce and smithfield bacon. the first time i tried the avacado club w/sweet potatoe fries, and it was exquisite. the second time, i came with some co-workers, and i wanted to try something melty....so i opted for the ultimate grilled cheese and sweet potatoe fries (couldn't help it, they were delicious!). the ultimate grilled cheese was fantastic! i had never had a sandwhich with cheese, bacon, green apples and tomatoe, the combination was just perfect. the staff was quite overwhelmed with a carryout order at the time we came, but our food was nice and hot when we got it. this a great, unique resturant that defintely is different and refreshing in comparison to the restuarants in the greenbriar/battlefield area.

read the reviews, stopped in for lunch, and ate the best sandwich i've had in a while. the service was excellent also. keep up the great work.

i've had the cutting edge café on my "to visit" list for quite a while. after i read the review from joe d. i knew this would be a good place for lunch as i found myself in the greenbrier area for lunch. i stopped in and really liked this little spot. the décor is very charming and laid back. the service makes the place even better. super big smiles and lots of welcoming voices. i was greeted and had my order taken only moments after stepping in. as you all know i am freak for club sandwiches, so i had to try the avocado club panini that joe d. ordered. i got a side of regular fries and a cold diet coke. the food arrived quickly. it was amazing. the club was juicy fresh and delicious. the avocado was creamy and delicious. the panini was soft with just the right amount of crunch form the grill lines. the fries were piping hot and even more delicious with ketchup! my drink was cold and tasty. this is a go to place for lunch diners. i really like this little "joint", give them a shot, heck give them 5 or 6 shots. you will be happy you did. i am going back soon!

exceptional food. this is a foodie hangout. i've been several times and i'm always impressed! i would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a local restaurant!

excellent lunch & service. i had a really cool experience here. i stopped in for lunch recently and they had a sign that they were closing early to attend a funeral. it was about 15 minutes before the posted time and the lady at the counter offered to make a carry out order for me which was just fine as they didn't even have to do that.

i quickly glanced at their eclectic menu ordered an avocado club panini with sweet potato fries and brought it back to work. it came nicely bundled up in a paper lunch type bag and when i opened it up there was a nicely wrapped sandwich and the bottom of the bag was filled with hot sweet potato fries.

i need to get back over there soon and check out some of their other items. it's not to hard to find, cutting edge cafe can be found in the shops located to the side of sam's club closer to volvo parkway.

terribly bland. don't eat here... unless you like sucky food.

ate there yesterday. awesome as always! sausage and white bean soup, salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries....yummm!!!

if you are looking for fresh locally bought food that tastes phenomenally great...this is the place to go! you will not be dissapointed with this husband wife team that truly know how to make it work!!! cant wait to come back when i am in that area again!

great place. really enjoyed my meal and love that i knew where the food was coming from. ill definitely be back. the decor could use a little work though the whole place is carpeted i felt like i was sitting in an office building

delicious. if you want something new and different and not the same ol types of food, eat here. i'll be back.

not bad food but not worth $9 a sandwich. especially when they forgot to give us the soup we ordered, ordered to go, oh well guess we lost that money because i won't be back. sweet potato fries were great but not gonna throw away that kind of money again on a sandwich and invisible soup.

jrod had the wasabi braised beef panini with sesame noodles, while i had the avocado club with sesame noodles. both were amazing, the sandwiches were served nice and hot, while the noodles were cool but not super cold. you can get to watch them make your sandwich along with prepping all the ingredients, which you can tell are all in-house made if possible.

has become one of my regular lunch spots. if only they would make those cherry currant mini pies more often!

great food. just moved here from charleston and this place would do well in that area where great food is expected.

great sandwiches!. my teenage daughters and i have eaten here twice, and we love it. the service is above reproach and the owner is quite engaging. even though the lunch crowd is huge, everything flows quickly.

love this place.
