the cutting edge

i've had the cutting edge café on my "to visit" list for quite a while. after i read the review from joe d. i knew this would be a good place for lunch as i found myself in the greenbrier area for lunch. i stopped in and really liked this little spot. the décor is very charming and laid back. the service makes the place even better. super big smiles and lots of welcoming voices. i was greeted and had my order taken only moments after stepping in. as you all know i am freak for club sandwiches, so i had to try the avocado club panini that joe d. ordered. i got a side of regular fries and a cold diet coke. the food arrived quickly. it was amazing. the club was juicy fresh and delicious. the avocado was creamy and delicious. the panini was soft with just the right amount of crunch form the grill lines. the fries were piping hot and even more delicious with ketchup! my drink was cold and tasty. this is a go to place for lunch diners. i really like this little "joint", give them a shot, heck give them 5 or 6 shots. you will be happy you did. i am goingbacksoon!

excellent lunch & service. i had a really cool experience here. i stopped in for lunch recently and they had a sign that they were closing early to attend a funeral. it was about 15 minutes before the posted time and the lady at the counter offered to make a carry out order for me which was just fine as they didn't even have to do that.

i quickly glanced at their eclectic menu ordered an avocado club panini with sweet potato fries and brought itbackto work. it came nicely bundled up in a paper lunch type bag and when i opened it up there was a nicely wrapped sandwich and the bottom of the bag was filled with hot sweet potato fries.

i need to getbackover there soon and check out some of their other items. it's not to hard to find, cutting edge cafe can be found in the shops located to the side of sam's club closer to volvo parkway.

if you are looking for fresh locally bought food that tastes phenomenally great...this is the place to go! you will not be dissapointed with this husband wife team that truly know how to make it work!!! cant wait to comebackwhen i am in that area again!

i discovered cutting edge on my way home tonight via urban spoon. what a great find. i've been trying to eat cleaner and fresher for health purposes and this place is perfect for that. friendly and personable staff, clean inviting environment, and great fresh and mostly local food. i got the medi (mediterranean) veggie panini and it was awesome. service was quick and there was none if that pretentious vibe you get at some organic restaurants. i definitely recommend cutting edge and will bebackmyself.

i met my geocaching friend here last week tuesday @11. she had been here before and liked it so i had high hopes. while my panini was good (cheese and jam with added bacon) i would have labeled it excellent had it not had so much dried flour on the bottom piece of my sandwich. every bite i took i was assaulted by the dried flour (leftover over flour while bread is being rolled and kneaded) on my taste buds. once i got some salivabackthe panini was quite tasty. what really made up for it was the sweet potato fries. those were awesome! i'll gobackto see if the floury bread was a fluke.
