stumbled upon this cafe from urbanspoon. great hamburgers! four adults and two children left full and happy. no complaints from any of us. awesome neighborhood gem!

i like the burgers but would not recommend going here right at opening on a saturday. this is when the young staff also has their lunch at the back table of the restaurant. i felt like i was interrupting their meal every time i needed anything. this has happened to me both times i have gone to this place. if you can get past the young, inexperienced wait staff...the food is pretty good.

where did the fresh cut curly fries go?? they were delicious! the frozen straight cut fries are not. they recently changed their menu and need to bring the curly fries back!

excellent burgers. we came through edmond on our way to ks. we came across this place via a google search. it was a little off of our route but it was worth it. seeing the outside, we almost decided to skip it. really glad we went in. seriously the best burger we've had and we have some really good ones where we live in tx. bun was toasted perfectly and the meat was cooked just right. very good flavor. we stuck with the classic and were not disappointed. the onion rings were very good too. we will stop in again next time we are in the area. clean place with good service too.

cow pie burgers at the cow calf-hay. to start off the cow calf-hay is set in a pretty lousy location. i guess my own personal "beef" with the place is that the manager hires pre-teen waitresses that wear inappropriately short shorts that make you wonder if chris hansen from dateline doesn't have a live web feed to the dining room.

if you're "cool" with that kind of atmosphere then try their signature "mad cow burger", or why not just heat up one of those plastic tubes of ground beef they sell at walmart and shove it in your face for the same effect. whoever opened the cow calf-hay answered the question of "doctor, how can i get any fatter". if you've been struggling with depression and wondering if there's anything worth living for in life then try their "six-shooter challenge". it will either kill you or give you the reason to live you were looking for. if you win they celebrate your struggle with obesity by putting your name and picture on the wall. just in case anyone had a question about your eating disorder.

i suggest the owner of the cow calf-hay next attempt a take on the orange leaf success and open a self-serve ground beef establishment where one can simply pull a lever and load pre-heated ground beef into bowls or perhaps tubs where their favorite toppings could be piled on top. i suggest having ground-up lipitor on the toppings bar as an option. if you want to have a scantily clad 12th graders bring you a mound of ground beef and potato greece so you can stare at the youngsters while engorging yourself on ground beef then have at it pal.

ian and i had dinner here two weeks ago. it was pretty good! he and i both got burgers, his a plainish cheeseburger, mine a western bbq burger. ian got fries, i got onion rings. i also got an appetizer of fried pickles. those were excellent; they came with a very nice ranch dressing to dip the fried pickles into. the burgers were pretty good; they had a nice crust and texture, and very good flavor. that was some good beef. they were cooked medium well as requested. not a scrap was left. the iced tea was very good. service was super friendly and prompt. our check was $29.50. i look forward to another visit.

absolutely amazing!! the burgers are textbook awesomeness. service was amazing. very courteous staff. definitely will be coming back!!!

the food was very good, the atmosphere was fun, and the staff was relaxed but friendly and the service was great. i'd recommend this joint to any one looking for good burger.

good burgers!. this place is better than your typical burger place. they also have a wide variety as well to choose from.

one fav burger places. i go here almost weekly for a good burger and its sooo good love the burger staff is nice as well really relaxed place love it

great flavorful burgers and really good onion rings. don't miss the sweet potato waffle fries - maybe the best in the okc area. service is a little lagging but the food is worth the search for this out-of-the-way spot.

just right. we had a party of 6 on a thursday night for our first visit here. the exterior of this little out of the way building was unimpressive, but the inside was just perfect for a burger joint, fun, clean, and casual. i am picky when it comes to my favorite food. the cheeseburgers were upper tier compared to other places in okc. sides of onion rings, fried pickles, and sweet potato fries were all top notch. our server, autumn, was attentive and got all of our special orders correct and timely. we will go back to this place.

nice. me and my wife went to this little eatery on saturday. i ordered a turkey burger which was great, she ordered a regular burger in which she really enjoyed. we visit a number of burger joints just for variety. this was a nice little spot. the waitress was great and really good. my only negative was my curly fries didnt appear to be fresh. my wife really enjoyed the onion rings vs the fries.

best burger ever
