the counter

i've being to the counter a number of times now and it never fails to disappoint. its one of my favorite places to go for food with the lads.  the  burgers and sweet potato fries are unreal. having the option to build your own burger is ideal as you get to pick what you want. i would definitely recommend giving it a try.

i don't think the counter gets enough credit for their burgers. i have always loved it. i think i really perfected my choice though, throughly enjoy the menu experience and theburgersreally are gorgeous. their fried onion strings are the best! much prefer the dundrum location though, suffolk st is a poor lay out lacking atmosphere.

this is a great place for a casual meet up with friends!
i regularly come here with friends and always choose to build a burger. you basically pick your meat, toppings, sauce, salad bowl/burger bun. be warned that you probably will be waiting for a table, as the queue is out the door any evening i've been.

food was great as per, although the service was mixed. some of the girls ordered cheese and they didn't get it. i asked for peanuts with my burger but the waiter never came back with it. we ordered before 6.30 and the food didn't appear until 7.10. to be fair it was very busy, and they have a policy of serving each table when all the food is ready but there was only 4 of us, so we did feel a little put out. we mentioned it to the manager who came over and checked everything with us, and he sorted us with complimentary deserts for the confusion and apologised. he handled it really well, we nearly felt bad for complaining!

we all chose to buildburgersand ordered a jug of water between us, we all had happy tummies leaving despite the bit of mix up!!

the counter in dundrum is a great meeting spot for small groups of friends or for some tasty grub before venturing to the cinema! be warned there will be a que outside the door most evenings! the best thing about this place is the shear variety of toppings.. you can get pretty much anything on your burger. however i have over done this a few times ordering too many toppings that it overpowers the burger, so my advice for counter is less is more! they do different sized beefburgersas well as chicken, fish and vegetarianburgersso there something for everyone. i'm still an old fashioned burger & bun fan however the burger bowls my friends ordered looked equally delish! the sweet potato fries are super tasty and they have a great selection of dips. to top off a wonderful counter experience they even do cocktails... what's not to like!!

delicious chicken wings,burgersare tasty but dry. nice fries and sides but it's just an american chain at the end of the day. cheap and cheerful. service can be awful and you should be prepared to wait a long time for a table and your food at lunchtime and weekends.

if you likeburgersyou will love here, they specialise in them, i feel it is a bit pricey forburgersbut they are. delicious. unfortunately what i don't like is they don't do a huge selection in other types of food, also a starter portion on chicken wigs would suit 3 people

such good food on the menu. got the wings, quite pricey for a bowl of wings (€12) but you do get loads. have a bit of an obsession with chicken wings and these were good in my books. would get them again but since counter are famous for theirburgerswould probably opt for a burger next time!

its the third time ive been to counter the first 2 times i gotburgersand was not disappointed. both the beef and chicken are lovely. 
this time given it was after christmas we opted for for bunless burgers, aka burger in a bowl. 
i really enjoyed it. the chicken was lovely and i got it with spinach and quinoa along with some toppings. 
we always get a side of sweet potatoe fries which are not but im not a big sweet potatoe person so i get the parmesan fries which are out of this world. they are so generous with the cheese. very filling and hard to finish but you so ummy i give it a good go. 
this time i tried a milkshake, coffee flavour, it was really nice. ice-creamy and thick and just the right coffee flavour. it wasn't too heavy on top of all the food.
my nephew cam along this time and the venue was very child friendly. they gave us a table for 4 rather than shoving us on a table for 2. they provided a high chair and offered crayons and colouring.

make that a 4th visit. its now a staple everytime i go home. 4th time was a bunless beef, brie and pesto bowl. yummmmm as always!!

love this place! i was in dundrum one evening with friends and had an hour to kill so we decided to go for something to eat. so we decided on 'the counter'. it's a burger joint and what i love about this place is that you can build your own burger by ticking the various options that are provided on the menu. options include 'choose a burger (beef, chicken etc), choose a bun, choose a sauce, choose a cheese and choose up to 4 toppings'. i thought this was brilliant and different to lots of other burger joints i've been to. also you know what exactly you're getting when you order so that's pretty cool. aside from building your own burger, you can also choose from a selection of signatureburgersalong with some tasty starters. so..i went for a beef burger with a hamburger bun, irish red cheddar, bacon and topped off with a fried-egg on top. delicious! finished it off with a side of sweet potato fries.

it was very busy with customers flowing in & out on a regular basis. they were super friendly and tended to our every need. it's quite relaxed and casual which i liked and perfect for the night we had planned. i'd really recommend this place to anyone who's in the dundrum area. we headed off with our tummies full and ready for the movie ahead!
