fab cafe, would def take people here for brekkie/brunch. good friendlyservice- we ordered takeaway and they were helpful. both meals and juice were delish. keep it up! will be back.

went to "the copper mill" cafe today with a friend and  we both had the avo on toast. there were lots of options but the non vegan avo on toast really sold me. it came prepared with a thick peice of sourdough toast covered in avocado slices, sesames seeds, dukkah and chilli flakes(chilli flakes came on the side) and was topped off with peruvian feta and a poached egg. the meal was terrific. very light but very filling at the same time :d i also ordered the coconut iced chocolate. i was asked if i wanted full cream or lite milk which although a simple question showed the flexibility the cafe has. (hopefully they were not hinting anything :s ) this didnt have too much of a coconut flavour and just tasted like a standard (non blended) iced chocolate. unfortunatly (being the clutz i am) i spilt my drink but the waitress came and cleaned it up straight away. i offered to clean it up but she insisted and sorted tthe problem out very quickly. we were very impressed with theservicehere.  the menu's were brought out pronto along with a cup ad water, we sat outside as we had dogs which was nice to get some cool air but being right on the road and surrounded by people waiting for takeaway meals it got a bit busy. they had a great selection of fresh muffins and croissants, sandwiches and slices. as it was a very popular cafe though it did seem like the takeaway was taking a while for the people there but that didnt effect us. coffee was also very tasty. we found that the cost of the extras were a bit exxy but it was good to see different types of extras eg. pork belly. i think the major selling points was our main meal and theservicewith the let downs being the location of the outdoor seating and the lack of coconut flavour in the iced coconut chocolate. will return.

i had the special: chicken suckatash with halloumi added. it was really tasty with lots of flavour and reasonably priced too.
coffee here is strong and well-roasted rather than smooth. the iced coffee is delicious.

my partner booked for 11 ppl at 11am last sat so he could take his clients out for an annual christmas breakfast. at 11:10 the table still was not empty, in fact the group of ppl sitting on there were only just getting their meals, and his clients were having to find somewhere to stand and wait. usually, if you book a table for 11am you expect it to be free then. if not, you at least expect an apology and some effort to be made to resolve the issue. when i questioned the staff about this, they were incredibly rude, defensive and in no way understanding of the inconvenience. they also carried this rudeness throughout our visit and had a good whinge about us amongst themselves in the kitchen. hot tip in customerservicecm staff - under no circumstances should you make your customers feel like they are the problem when you have stuffed up. how embarrassing on your behalf. absolutely will not return and will be telling others not to, either.

trendy vibes, delicious food and great service. a great local cafe if you're in alexandria. quick and promptserviceand really take care of customers overall experience.

unassuming from the outside, but it was buzzing inside, with frenzy of activities & noise to match the industrial vibe, it feels almost like being in a busy factory floor. the only seats left were at the bar. the seats weren't the most comfortable, but theservicewas prompt. really wanted to try the pumpkin waffle specials, as everything else on the menu are pretty much either toasties, rolls or burgers, but they have already sold out. ended up with a rueben, which was quite good, quite big serve. same with my friend's peruvian roll. the coffee was pretty good as well.

cooper mill is our go to when we're in the area. amazing coffee, food usually delicious and theservicewarm and friendly. the only issue we had was that whilst we love the industrial decor, chairs we're not entirely comfy.

made a early brekky visit to the copper mill. brekky was very much on the tastier side of things and was very evident that good produce was used. i had the smashed avo with the addition of bacon. portion size was on the smaller side and probably could have done with the addition of an egg. the coffee was excellent however my only complaint was that it came to the table luke warm (much the same with the brekky).servicewas good and efficient however it wasn't overly friendly.

badserviceall round. asked for a boiled egg instead of poached for a pregnant customer and they said that it takes too long and that they don't have enough pots!! really?!! i thought boiled eggs were the easiest thing to make in the kitchen. a kettle would do! coffees were late too. this place is way to cool for school.

good food, better coffee, bad service, greasy smell.

we had our sunday lunch yesterday at cooper mill. we were in the cafe at 1:30pm, the food was served at 2:20 - almost an hour for only 2 burgers. since we walked in, no one served, we had to find a table ourselves as well as the menu....we ordered coffee, a chicken burger and a peruvian pork roll. the coffee was beautiful. but the waiter didn't take our food order at all. we were sitting, breathing the greasy air and waited for about 25 minutes until we asked one of the waitress and found out. we then waited for another 10 minutes, the food still wasn't ready for us. we asked the waiter who made the initial mistake - instead of explaining or apologise to us, he said : "do you want to stop the order?" throughout the whole incident, this waiter tried to avoid our table and never had the courage to take his responsibilities and come up with any forms of apologies. instead, his colleagues apologised for him and offered us the discount for the long wait. after 45 minutes, we finally had our food. the burgers were good, but we were rushed as we were staving!especially for my wife who is 7 months pregnant. after all, the service, particularly for that young man, was inappropriate and unprofessional.

as there is no separate kitchen area, the whole cafe is full of greasy smell from the grill. we had to carry the smell for the rest of the day. not ideal if you're after a clean fresh day afterwards.

to be fair, i don't mind going back for a quick coffee and brekkie. even though theservicewas unpleasant. also they should do something about the greasy smell...

personally, i am a strong advocate of boycotting the grounds of alexandria whenever in the area, but i can assure you that has nothing to do with my choice to visit the copper mill whenever i'm around that neck of the woods. in fact, i have been to the mill so frequently that i have officially eaten everything on the menu, and i can wholeheartedly assure you that it is all 100% on point. their coconut hot chocolate even holds the prestigious title of "ej's favourite hot beverage of all time", and if you get the chance to try it you'll immediately understand why - this bad boy is liquid intercourse.
aside from the menu, theserviceis absolutely brilliant - the staff are extremely friendly and are always up for a bit of bantz. they were even kind enough to give me one of their kanye west paper bags despite not ordering takeaway.
i live by the ideology that nothing is perfect, so i have deducted points due to the fact that i'm not particularly fond of the mill's layout. i think the open nature of the kitchen detracts the atmosphere of the cafe; however, that's purely due to the fact that i'm being extremely picky with intent.

recently listed in smhs sydney's best 20 cafes, so had some good expectations from this place.servicewas average, we finally got a smile from a staff member when we paid the bill. not my idea of service. 
the brunch menu was mainly sandwiches and a basic eggs on toast option, which was what i ordered but received something else. my companion order a bacon and egg roll which was pretty sad looking and tasting. coffee is by golden cobra, quite ashy. 
wont be returning, still can not understand how this made it in the top 20. so many better options in the area

going down hill. i have rated copper mill as delivering the best coffee in the inner west until recently. in recent weeks the coffee has been going down hill, this may be due to the incredibly rude barrista not being able to take constructive feedback well. when asked for another shot of coffee as the coffee tasted a little weak he clearly threw a tantrum and would then not speak to me anymore, nor even look me in the eye. i said thank you and stood outside to wait for some take away food. the very rude barrista proceeded to come outside and tell me that i was rude and i should have asked for an extra shot of coffee in the first place. i told him i just like my coffee to taste like coffee as it always has done. he had no further words and clicked his cowboy boots and stormed off in a huff. customerserviceat it's very worst. you've lost 2 regular customers, maybe some gen y training is in order.
