the coppermillis a stylish and spacious cafe in alexandria (near sydney park) which serves some impressive breakfasts and brunches. the cafe was designed to reflect the industrial character of the neighborhood, with exposed bricks and cooper pipes, wooden table and benches as well as grey painted walls.

the star of the day was their awesome peruvian burger, a sunny side egg and slow roast pork chicharron between two lightly toasted brioche bun. the delicious burger was enhanced by the savory roasted kumera and salsa criolla, which complements the pork chicharron perfectly. the coppermillis worth a second visit 😆😆

for the lovers of filter coffee, coppermillhandpicks single estate beans from boutique roasters across australia. definitely try their 'coconut hot chocolate' . an amazing combo...

coopermillis our go to when we're in the area. amazing coffee, food usually delicious and the service warm and friendly. the only issue we had was that whilst we love the industrial decor, chairs we're not entirely comfy.

we initially found the coppermillto be quite chaotic. lots of people cued up with no separate line or signage for take away and dining in house. we were abruptly told to wait as there was a list of people before us. as it turned out there was no one before us and were then welcomed by two lovely staff members. the menu is small but it was great to see a turmeric latte there. the food was good, portions are a little on the small side but there are lots of nice and fresh flavours. we weren't blown away, but it was nice to try somewhere a little different for breakfast.

although the copper mill's menu is short, it features a good variety of classics and some more unusual items, all of which sound enticing.

i ended up opting for the coddled egg dish because i was intrigued by what a coddled egg is. it turns out that it is rather like soft-boiled egg. as google explains, "soft-boil or coddle method: coddling causes the yolk to become slightly thickened and warm." which would explain why it was served with toast soldiers, except served shell-less in a jar rather than in shelled and in an egg holder. the inclusion of the sweet potato puree added another dimension to the overall taste of the dish, its sweetness contrasting with the saltiness of the egg and bacon.

jm ordered the bacon and egg roll, which sounded solid yet simultaneously boring. this is a problem with the brekkie/brunch classics: whilst they are fail-safe flavours, they are by the same vein also rather unexceptional. jm's verdict echoed this: whilst it was tasty, there was nothing special about it. indeed, there was a slight imbalance in the bun-to-filling ratio.

overall, the coppermillis a solid brunch spot. and the best part? it is extremely reasonably priced.

despite being in the quieter streets of alexandria, the coppermillis pumping during weekend breakfast sessions with patrons lining out the door for their morning coffee fix. located within a former printing press, the cafe is in a concrete building, giving the space a cooling, industrial feel.

personally, i am a strong advocate of boycotting the grounds of alexandria whenever in the area, but i can assure you that has nothing to do with my choice to visit the coppermillwhenever i'm around that neck of the woods. in fact, i have been to themillso frequently that i have officially eaten everything on the menu, and i can wholeheartedly assure you that it is all 100% on point. their coconut hot chocolate even holds the prestigious title of "ej's favourite hot beverage of all time", and if you get the chance to try it you'll immediately understand why - this bad boy is liquid intercourse.
aside from the menu, the service is absolutely brilliant - the staff are extremely friendly and are always up for a bit of bantz. they were even kind enough to give me one of their kanye west paper bags despite not ordering takeaway.
i live by the ideology that nothing is perfect, so i have deducted points due to the fact that i'm not particularly fond of the mill's layout. i think the open nature of the kitchen detracts the atmosphere of the cafe; however, that's purely due to the fact that i'm being extremely picky with intent.

going down hill. i have rated coppermillas delivering the best coffee in the inner west until recently. in recent weeks the coffee has been going down hill, this may be due to the incredibly rude barrista not being able to take constructive feedback well. when asked for another shot of coffee as the coffee tasted a little weak he clearly threw a tantrum and would then not speak to me anymore, nor even look me in the eye. i said thank you and stood outside to wait for some take away food. the very rude barrista proceeded to come outside and tell me that i was rude and i should have asked for an extra shot of coffee in the first place. i told him i just like my coffee to taste like coffee as it always has done. he had no further words and clicked his cowboy boots and stormed off in a huff. customer service at it's very worst. you've lost 2 regular customers, maybe some gen y training is in order.

bondi hipster wank-fest comes to the innerwest.. the service is chaotic and poor. only one person seemed to care (i’m guessing the owner/manager) but the rest were either stoned or oxygen deprived during their mother's pregnancy. it would take ages to be seated and to get our order taken (despite empty tables). in fact, a couple who arrived later than us, sat next to us and were eating their meal before ours were even ordered.

the dreadlocked barista kept playing with is his unkempt, un-tied or netted hair while making coffees. hey mate ? this is a food place. coffee is a something i put in my mouth. stop it. food safety before you fabulousness dude.

the food menu was clever with what seems like interesting flavours and combinations. hinting at south american flavours and palette. i had the mushroom medley on toast with a poached egg. for $16 i got an uninspiring meal that should have been better for the combination of its wonderful ingredients. yet it wasn’t. it tasted like some cheap mushrooms (i got one enoki, one oyster, and the rest was your run of themillmushies), an egg, some parmesan cheese sitting together on a plate rather than taste like a creation. the excessive use of oil and salt (who adds salt to toast ??) was a let down for a place that seemed to be so heathy and ‘green’. i also had the b+e roll. not a hard meal to get wrong but it too was too oily and salty (what is it with the salt guys ??) ... the relish was lovely but just wasn’t enough to compensate for what went wrong.

the coffee was however very good. my suggestion is to buy a takeaway and skip the pretentious, overpriced food made by a bunch of disaffected hipsters who seemed too stoned to know how to light a gas jet.

i am so disappointed with this place. it should be a wonderful place. and indeed there are a lot of people around who seem to love it ... but i just don’t agree.

located in alexandria, the coppermillis a welcoming addition to the suburb's ever-growing cafe and restaurant scene that has been expanding since the opening of the grounds of alexandria. it's also a good walking distance from st peter's station and even closer to sydney park if you happen to be in the area. as you step inside, you notice the industrial decor of the joint while it's quiet on the weekdays, it's much more busier on the weekends especially with the limited seating inside so there will be a small wait for the tables at peak hours (though not as bad as the grounds of course). it's rare to find a cafe where i actually want to try every single dish of the menu but the coppermillis definitely one of those places.

one too many parties and one too many drinks mean that i’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect hangover cure. although abstaining from drinking is probably your best bet, nothing beats a bacon and egg roll – and the coppermillin alexandria serves up a pretty mean one.

although it was windy walking from st peters station, the cafe was very inviting with the warmth and homely smells wafting from the open kitchen! i loved the decor of the wooden tables, concrete floors, exposed pipes which reflected the industrial area of alexandria but also had the homely soft touches of fresh flowers on each table. on sundays, the coppermilloffers an all day brunch menu offering a delightful mix of tantalising ingredients which are perfect for winter such as halloumi and mushrooms!  the galette was incredibly flavoursome and simply the best comfort food. it was like eating a deconstructed pie with the flaky puff pastry of the galette gently balancing the s

tucked away in the suburbia part of alexandria lies a small cafe which reeks of a melbourne meets brunswick street. the coppermillis a quirky cafe with wooden stools beautiful wooden tables and great coffee with a pumping vibe. the coppermillis just around the corner from the grounds so if your tired of waiting, you might have to wait a bit at the coppermilltoo but not as long and painful as the grounds can sometimes be. their menu is written up on a chalk board and is fairly limited with options which makes it a whole lot easier deciding on what to choose. mr.p chose a mexican themed breakfast whilst i decided to go for something on the vegetarian side the copper mill, alexandria a:  338 mitchell road, alexandria nsw 2043

at the coppermillon mitchell road in an area some call alexandria and some call erskineville, bacon and eggs are most certainly not just bacon and eggs. most surprising is that the café doesn't really have a proper kitchen, but just a stovetop or two and a benchtop grill. cappuccino and watermelon, apple and mint juice from the copper mill, mitchell road, alexandria with minimal outdoor seating and hipster-fied interiors, the coppermillis a spacious little venue that clearly values comfort over crowds. decorated with the occasional item of copper cookware, the high ceilings of the space and its well-spaced tables lend it well to relaxed brunching and munching on some latin-inspired brekky bits. i still like cappuccinos because of the chocolate powder and foam, giving me the slightest of sugar hits with the golden cobra b

the coppermillis sort of hidden, well its kind of you gotta know where this sits – its adjacent to a large business park and not far from princess park properties large residential megaplex in ersko/st peters but there it is, this rather darkly intimate, industrial chic and rather nice cafe just placed located here. we’ve driven down the mitchell road quite often and not noted this. the appearance of a desolate foodscape. the coppermillis housed under a large architectural practice just there. its rustic looking, with grey walls – the counter where the coffee machine is a large piece of rusticated timber and a simple glass box for the sweet eats. nice timber batten screen there. seperates the two businesses and yet permits light through. you can sit at the counter too mecca coffee, st ali. the kitchen area is a largeish island filled with activity special lamb shoulder sandwich was pretty good and well presented. coddled egg dish, came with a long teaspoon to scoop out the contents
