visited this restaurant once again for dinner, and once again it did not fail to impress. we started off with the papaya salad. it was the best papaya salad ever. if you happen to visit this place you cannot miss this delicacy. we had the red thai curry for the mains and also pad thai noodles. both of them were delicious. the chef was kind enough to make us the thai as per our taste and ingredients. i guess this is a reason what taj is "taj". they knew we were celebrating my wife's birthday, and we were given a chocolate cake to wrap up  an amazingly satisfying dinner. i will definitely keep on visiting this place frequently like i always have. cheers!!!

its very rightly one of the best in india. the serive and ambience is of class. its lke an international.michelin stat feeling. live the decor and the intense enviorment. pandan leaves chicken and spring rolls are a must try. the green thai cuŕry is spicy. and lipdnacking. beverages are ok. be it the cocktails or the pungent thai cooler. its a must try . .

the best thai restaurant i have been to in india, have tried out 3-4 other 5 star ones but nothing beats the taste and the spread in thai pavilion. all time favorite is the diced coconut chestnut desert-tub tim krob, have not come across a better tasting option anywhere in india, easily matches and betters many others i have tried in singapore and thailand. other dishes you could try are the steamed john dory and the banana leaf wrapped chicken with a layer of honey ( think so). be prepared to spend a decent amount from your wallet here- not the most value for money but the taste and the service make it worth the experience.

brilliant...without doubts thai pavilion is the best destination for thai food in india.
the restaurant is a five star hotel and obviously the rates are on higher sides but once you eat here you feels nirvana of thai food. i love there thai curry which is out of the world , all the flavours are blended well and vegetables are cooked to absolute perfection.
tempura n dimsums are simply superb.
in desserts i tried there coconut milk with water chastenut which was again outstanding.
hospitality is class like other taj hotels.

with the title of the best thai place in town, thai pavilion had great expectations to be fulfilled as i walked through the place in anticipation. truth be told, i have had minor interactions with thai food, but nothing major and certainly not something at a taj offering. i was supremely excited for the same and decided to choose trattoria, with its italian offering a miss for this oriental treat.
the ambience of the place is classically modern. there is a live kitchen counter, where almost all the dishes are cooked from the soups to the desserts. it's a very different from a lot of other places, but i must say that seeing the wok sizzle is very pleasing almost cathartic. the stream of desserts that fly off the counter are pleasing and you can wait till you reach the end.
the service is impeccable, but i have a bone to pick with the establishment as i will explain later.
as we seated, we were offered two fried veg wontons as a starter from their side. i think it was their way to showcase the sauces they had on offer. we started with the tom kha soup, spicy and hitting you right up the nose with its ginger and lemongrass. the portion size of the soup was pretty small though. next up we had the lobster in pepper and butter. it was amazing. the sauce was heavily full of garlic and went amazing with the deshelled lobster. and finally we opted for thai green curry as the main course. the taste of the curry was really good, however we found a few bits of uncooked chicken in our meal. at this point, given the level of place we are at, i expected that they would ask for a replacement or not charge it at all. however, we were disappointed when they waiter just high handedly took it away and said that i can have another portion of the same dish. i argued that i would not want to eat the same thing, fearing the outcome, but he did not respond further at which i just asked for the cheque. i was disappointed and could not even try the desserts they had to offer.
the whole experience hit so many high notes and was let down because of one bad one. i don't know why all of this happened, but it was weird and i expected better from a place rated 4.6,not to mention one that is hosted by taj.

the ambience of the place is not quite up to the mark. service offered was good. we were seated promptly n food did not take long to arrive. food was quite average and did not taste any different from many other places serving the same cuisine. over all did not seem worth the money.

went back to an old favourite after a few years, and the food was still outstanding! the classics - papaya salad and corn cakes were as good as ever. tried the red curry with crushed peanuts which was great. also recommend the basil and curry paste fried rice and the pad ki mao. the hot thai chocolate soufflé was more of a tart but satisfyingly chocolately

we ordered starters like steamed thai dim sums, prawn spring rolls, thai-style chicken morsels wrapped in pandarus leaves, which were all very good. the salads were okay. we also had the famous pad thai, both in red sauce as well as green sauce. the desserts were delicious. we tried crème brûlée and warm toffee pudding. there was also plenty of wine options to choose from.

thai pavilion does not do justice to the rating it has received on zomato!
being a vegetarian, the smell of fish in the whole restaurant was displeasing
we received a complimentary pumpkin sauce and chips platter, which was great and the flavour of the sauce was also very unique.
the tom yum soup was bland and smelled unpleasant.
next comes the crispy lotus stem starter which was not only highly overpriced (3 times) but also just had the flavour of garlic and butter, none of the other spices.
nara thai is a way better restaurant which serves authentic thai food. would any day recommend it over thai pavilion.

went to thai pavilion for dinner recently and had a great experience! loved the great service and delicious food.

they served pumpkin chips before the meal which were so light and crispy. i really enjoyed them.

for appetisers we had the pomelo salad which was my absolute favourite dish and i definitely recommend it. we also had the corn cakes which were good but could have had little more flavour. i ordered the tom yum soup which was spicy and nice. we also got the lotus root chips which also tasted good with the house sauces that they provide.

for mains we had the pad thai which i felt was a little bland and could have been more flavourful along with the water chestnut in a spicy sauce.

although we liked some dishes more than others, they service was great and i will definitely be back for my favourites!

when you go to such restaurants you don't expect a strand of hair on your plate in the middle of the dinner. i was really enjoying the taste of food until this happened. even the smaller restaurants have now started taking care of this. i really didn't expect such kind of service in a taj restaurant. food tasted yum though and service was quick but the whole hair incident blew me off. but the chef was kind enough to come out and apologize to us.
food - good
staff - very good
ambeince - good
service - poor ( cause of the hair incident ).

one of the oldest but the best thai restaurant to relish thai cravings. recommended for all thai lovers! from the appetisers- raw mango with water chestnut, chicken satay, steam chicken dim-sums, to main course- fried chicken rice with sorted vegetables, paddy thai noodles and fish fry with oyster sauce and to end with assorted dessert platter and homemade ice creams- salted caramel, dark chocolate, fresh cashew and espresso. all in all a great lunch treat for our taste buds. loved the service and the staff. polite, gentle, quick and very quick in response.
