we have the best oriental restaurant in town . there is nothing that one can criticize here. the , ambience, service and the food everything is top notch. we have been here twice now and both the time such a gala time we had. it felt as if ahmedabad has a place where everything is "a" game with such affordable rates for a hotel like hyatt. now without any more bragging directly to  food
frozen strawberry and grapes - this was a slurpee. crushed ice with strawberry and grapes, smooth texture and chilled (duh) to beat the heat absolutely a must have that too when its just fro rs. 98
chicken garlic soup - this is an absolute comforting soup. egg drop  with bits of  chicken in a creamy broth with amazing flavor of garlic. had this both the time and consistency is impeccable.
miso soup - such a unique taste !! loved every drop of it !!
veg clear soup - the simplest of the dishes again a comfort soup for vegetarians.
ebi roll - ohh my god this was amazing !!!!sushiwith center filling of prawn. absolute heaven
shrimp tempura - crispy shrimp heaven with a sauce having sweet notes to it.
chicken bao - this is something you cannot have just 1. small sized bao with filling of chicken chunks in gravy of onions and flavorful seasonings. super soft almost like a fur ball soft , bao is heavenly.
the only sad part is they just have 1 bao - chicken and no variants at all.
dumplings 1. chicken 2. lamb 3. mushroom - for dumplings order any and they have perfected their art. just something we didn't like, it didn't suit our taste was the prawn dumpling, becuase it is seafood it remains moist on the inside of the dumpling.
prawn yellow curry - superb size of prawns and flavorful curry, how could it be so perfect!! goes very well with sticky rice
sliced lamb - almost minced lamb but chunky enough filled with superb flavour and spot on seasoning. cooked to perfection
caramele alaska - this was the best dessert out of the lot. chilled chocolate sauce ( yes, opposite to the hot sauce which is so common) poured over a spongy chocolatey sponge cake was again heavenly
banofie pie - you don't get such a banofie pie in ahmedabad. perfect caramel, outer layer of crumbs and raw banana, just perfect !!
chef's special mille feuille - not reccomending the only thing in the entire menu we didn't really like . it was too much of whipped cream! tasted of nothing else.
the fun element is they serve some amazing amuse bousche right after appetizer and before main course, it helps to cleanse the palette. the yoghurt based amuse bouche was super yummy itself and comes witha little bit of drama. the second amuse bouche is wasabi sorebt definitely cleanses the palette and makes for the right taste for wasabi.

this restaurant has an amazing story behind it's food & a lot of research has gone into it's making. this is what makes it so unique. the ambience is subtle & classy. the food both veg & non-veg is to die for. i personally loved the strawberry with grapes & cucumber-mint mocktails. they have an amazing range of soups. tried out their dumplings, sushiroll, & a lot more. the flavors are specially customised according to a person's taste. the staff is very friendly & the service is amazing.

🥞🍳the grills - tgs hyatt ahmedabad

#tgs #tgstheorientalgrill

⚓landmark significance

☕🍯the very own hyatt at ahmedabad which was a host to the landmark visit of xi xinping, the chinese premiere to ahmedabad soon after the new govt. at the centre was sworn in. as i walked into the main entrance post the courteous vallet staff guiding me in with a radiant smile, i visualised how pm modi stood at the same entrance memorizing a sentence or 2 in chinese to welcome his guest.

⚓an international experience of it's kind first time in gujarat.

⚓🗽🗼✈️the team hyatt has undergone a tremendous research and brought in modern oriental dining experience with the chef in form of tg’s(which stands for the grills)-the oriental grill at the first floor.

⚓the concept and its significance

⚓🚏🚂tg’s is the first human centric designed, innovative concept of dining, serving modern oriental cuisine from the multitude of asian culinary techniques. tg’s stands for ‘the grills’, which represents one of the core ingredients of the flavors that is instrumental in bringing out the essence and inherent flavours of the revered oriental cuisine.

🚂🏗️🏚️🏘️the infrastructure

tg’s is the perfect example of simple yet modern design, with wooden grill work, artistically natural wooden door and uncut granite slabs on the counters. the ambient lighting brightens up the wall which has the sparkling italian marble finish to it and vibrant colours fabricated on the corners in the restaurant. the granite flooring all adds to the understated elegance of the restaurant

🚂🏗️🏚️🏘️🥨🍤🧀🥚🍳🥞🥓🍷🥃the oriental palatte

tg’s offers delicious modern oriental delicacies like thai, indonesian, szechuan, korean, burmese, malaysian and japanese ranging from dim sum andsushito australian john dory and tofu steak, and a host of sumptuous desserts. with a strong emphasis on personalized experience, tg’s has six live grills where our culinary experts take you through an astonishing gastronomy journey and prepare the food as per the taste buds of each and every guest.

🍷🥪🥘as we settled we were served the following sumptuous fare

☕burnt garlic clear vegetable soup

☕miso soup with spring onions, tofu and wakame

🍣🍯next in line were the dimsums which appeared like the colourful cousins of the extra terrestrial from the steven speilberg flick the et.

🍣🍯 cauliflower in red and chinese napa

🍣🍯chilli garlic with butter bean hargow, onion , garlic , ginger and chilli

🍣🍯assorted mushroom soy bao

🍣🍯shanghai style with shitake mushroom, spring onion, truffle oil

🍣🍯bean curd, carrot with curried bao

all dimsums were decent in taste and well made

⛷️🏂next part was like the change of sets on a mega drama show...entered a fine young lad dressed in a chinese martial art outfit with a head band as though he was about to chop off the table where we were sitting...gently greeting us and saying huanying in chinese he set off to turning on the live grills which are the moot point of this concept ...

⛷️🏂with a clitter clatter and clang clang of his tools and artistic dicing, mixing and matching of vegetables, a slight dash of oils, butter and benevolent sprays of water he churned out delights which composed of the following

🥗🌮vegetables and beancurd/rice with garlic spinach mixed with chilli and oyster sauce

🥗🌮five treasure vegetables in holsin sauce

🥗🌮spicy minced soya garlic, chilli soy

🥗🌮tofu steak spicy ginger bean sauce

🥗🌮steamed japanese rice

🥗🌮sticky friend rice , garlic, baby corn, mushroom, onion, carrot, basil and light soy.

🥗🌮burnt chilly garlic friend noodles with onion, spring onions, light soy with white cabbage.

🎯done perfectly well with chef rishbabh's stance of bending to an angle of 45 degrees and grinding out live spices to the meal was a joy to watch

🎯the desserts were an icing on the cake to add culmination to the entire experience

🎯creme banana banofiee pie

🎯noughat caramel alaska cake with warm chocolate ganache.

🎯🎯hunger hop is greatly thankful to team hyatt at tgs for this valuable experience of having the group participate in this launch. i am sure many members will visit post my launch write up here.

🎯hunger hop wishes tgs all the very best.

tg’s is a fine dining restaurant at hyatt ahmedabad, which serves chinese, japanese and oriental cuisine.

i ordered
1) mocktail : i ordered frozen strawberry and grapes which are served in martini glass. the presentation was on point.

2) dimsums, bao and tempura

dimsums - in dimsums we ordered chilli garlic butter and water chestnut dimsums. the former one is a must try.

bao - chef’s special steamed veg bao : the bao bun was very much soft.

tempura : rock corn tempura - tempura is a typical japanese dish usually consisting of seafood, meat, and vegetables that have been battered and deep fried. as i took the vegetarian version so it had only fried veggies

3)sushi- although i aint a fan ofsushibut reverse mountainsushiis a must try at this place

4) dessert : alaska cake - it basically a cake topped with caramel and hot chocolate.

overall this place gives the best fine dining experience.

this place is a must visit from my side.

good ambience...very comfortable !!

food:
ordered all dumplings, which are served without any sauce and chef doesn't feel good when asked why they don't serve !!

sashimisushiplatter - terrible, i left after trying each. looked stale and pathetic. not worth ordering.

teppanyaki was good, got for it.

don't order guavarita, too spicy for a drink !!

best teppan yaki resturant... first of all i am surprised we have teppan style dinning here in ahmemdad gujarat of all the places... second no matter how many time i have been there they served some of the bestsushiveg and non veg both... there menu has some of the unique dishes. i have been there many time even with my in laws who do not prefer japanese cuisine... also have visted the resturant many times. it's worth it.

this place was on my list for a very long time and finally visited it for sunday dinner. they have options between the preset course meal and the a-la carte. i decided to go for the latter.
ambience- seating is comfortable. there is a live grill for every table where you can watch the food being made live. interesting, no!? 😎
service- the staff is very courteous and even on a sunday, service was relatively quick. on the live grill, we had chef brieshwar to serve us some delicious food.
food-
burnt garlic veg clear soup-
it had a nice, strong taste which was appealing to the taste buds. (4/5)
dimsums-
chilli garlic
corn and water chestnut
it was ok. nothing special. (2.5/5)
tempura rolls- the taste was good but thesushiwas a little hard to chew. (3/5)
veg. bao in barbeque sauce- this was heavenly😇 had to order another one. (5/5) 🤤
after this, we were given a muse bouche( palate changer). it was raspberry flavored and tasted really good.
for the main course, we had-
chilli garlic noodles- they were perfectly cooked and spiced. loved it!! (5/5)
pepper garlic sauce veggies- the sauce was very flavourful and complemented well with the noodles. (4/5)
desserts-
burnt ice cream (chef's suggestion) -
i've never really had something so different. it was fusion but, so good. soft pineapple base and chewy ice cream with sesame, almonds and caramel. must try. (4.5/5)
nougat alaska with chocolate ganache-
this was simply the showstopper of the evening. try it to believe me! 😘😋(5/5)
the prices are a tad expensive but it surely wouldn't burn a hole in your pocket
overall, i had a good experience and if you want to try some delicious oriental food, this is the place to go! 👍

hyatt, as a brand , have lot of restaurants across india but i have come across only few whcih server genuine asian food including sushi. this was quite enough motivation to book this place for dinner . the icing on the cake was the 50% off that was being run on thursdays and fridays in the month of april by the restaurant which attracted loads of crowd to the place. we had melange ofsushiand dimsums to start with followed by some authentic main course and appealing desserts.

vegetable bao :- just a perfect preparation of  bao that i have had in very long time. not the biggest fan of bbq sauce but this was a steal for the price.

fat boy roll :- one from thesushifamily, which is just simply curated for indian palate and trust me when i say. just perfection for an indian sushi.

there were few more items ordered like corn edamame dimsum and mushroomsushiwhich were on par with the authentic way of preparation.

do give it a try.

damages : 2500 for 4 people

ambiance 5/5

service 5/5
