when you’re out of lunch and dinner ideas and don’t want to do the whole bar or tourist crowd thing while downtown,tendergreens is a nice option. they offer quick and easy salad and simple meals with enough quirky items to keep things fresh and trendy. the fresh drinks that they serve and refill for free is pretty good.

tender greens is a cafeteria-style first come, first serve organic restaurant where you order your food at one end and pay at the other end and seat yourself. one of nine in california,tendergreens relies on fresh-picked produce from small local farms.

we tried several dishes was very good would eat there again . ahi,beef, and chicken were very goodtenderand tasty. only complaint would be the big pepper shaker is full of salt not pepper ruined a good dinner. we were not the only ones that tried to ruin a meal need to change that

i’ve been dying to trytendergreens (http://www.tendergreensfood.com/) ever since it opened in liberty station in point loma, san diego. when you walk in, you immediately place your food order. you pass a window of delectable goods, and end up at a cash register where you place your drink order and pay. they hand you your food on a half baking sheet – interesting touch – and you grab your silverware and napkins. you seat yourself either inside or outside. it’s cafeteria style dining, but with 4 star food. there’s a desire to serve great quality food here: most of the produc

wow. very impressed.. this place is awesome. think panera bread but with much fresher ingredients (non mass produced), wonderful service, and a very cool atmosphere.
i was here in san diego for a quick business trip and needed to escape from my hotel for some decent food. i foundtendergreens on the web, went there, ordered the chinese chicken salad, and was blown away. probably one of the top 5 best salads i've ever had. fresh, roasted, pulled chicken pieces, cilantro, sliced carrots, peanuts, etc. i wish i was staying longer so that i could go back and try more of their menu.
just an fyi that google maps doesn't have their address properly mapped. so be sure to not rely on your iphone to get you there. instead, look at the actual address and navigate the old fashioned way.

tender greens for not a lot of green.tendergreens serves really good food fast, and at reasonable prices. it's not just salad--you can get roast chicken, angus flank steak, herb brushed albacore, or grilled veggies as a hot entree, on a sandwich, or added to one of 5 simple salads. there are also 10 "big" entree salads to choose from, plus soup and desserts. beer and wine are available.
