delicious find. i'm from the deep south so i appreciate a good meat and veggie plate. recently i traveled to san diego for a business convention and when i arrived it was lunchtime so i pulled up urban spoon and saw this place was close by and had good reviews. if i lived near this place i'd eat here all the time. the salt and pepper chicken was perfect and the portion size was very generous. the mashed potatoes were probably the best i've ever had. even the arugula salad was great. i ate every bite on my plate. the inside of the restaurant was very clean and hip and the place was brisk with business at 11am.

full disclosure: i hate salad. i'll eat it to stay alive, but it's one of those shove-it-in-my-mouth-with-a-gulp-of-water-to-swallow-it-without-tasting deals. but my salad -- yes, salad -- from here was actually quite delicious. it probably helped that there were thick slabs of bacon on top, but hey, i still got a serving of veggies with it!

my friend and i also split a cheese plate, which was decadently delicious. the portions here are massive. a salad will set you back $11, but it's worth it. i had enough left over to take home for dinner! i'll definitely be back :)

attempted the steak sandwich, bbq chicken plate of mixed greens and the salmon, all were truly bice abs a decent bit size. heaps of seating and worth the smidgen additional as the sustenance and plates of mixed greens are stunning. unquestionably justified regardless of a visit in the event that you are after a sound and filling lunch.

when you’re out of lunch and dinner ideas and don’t want to do the whole bar or tourist crowd thing while downtown, tender greens is a nice option. they offer quick and easy salad and simple meals with enough quirky items to keep things fresh and trendy. the fresh drinks that they serve and refill for free is pretty good.

i always go here for dinner and to get a lunch for the next day whenever i’m in san diego for a teaching weekend. the food is fresh and well prepared, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the restaurant is clean and well ventilated. i love sitting outside. you can’t go wrong eating here. it’s in a beautiful location with great food

tender greens is a cafeteria-style first come, first serve organic restaurant where you order your food at one end and pay at the other end and seat yourself. one of nine in california, tender greens relies on fresh-picked produce from small local farms.

as the name suggests it has food on the more healthy side.  i recommend the seared ahi platter or the sliced steak. they do a big business and usually have a few people in line waiting to order.  they are very accommodating to your dietary needs. i avoid carbs so they always offer me alternatives.  i can eat here and feel like i ate a real meal, yet a healthy meal.  price for platter and a drink is in the $12-$15 range, a little pricey for a counter service restaurant, but still worth the money.  they have a big crew working there and i give the company credit for training them well and hiring good people.

every once in a while, thanks to this app, i find small restaurants like this that are not afraid of changing the status quo. here are the two only reasons i haven't given this place a 5. when i first walked in, i had some difficulty understanding how and what to order. the waiter wasn't so helpful in guiding me. the second reason is that i like picture loaded menus. specially in places like this that i have never been to. now, the chow was without competition. cheep, delicious, and healthy. a refreshing alternative from the overwhelming american fast food.

we tried several dishes was very good would eat there again . ahi, beef, and chicken were very good tender and tasty. only complaint would be the big pepper shaker is full of salt not pepper ruined a good dinner. we were not the only ones that tried to ruin a meal need to change that

excellent. healthy freshly prepared salads and main courses. it is an open kitchen where you can see everything prepared as you make your way down to the cashier. this is a place that is concerned with food sourcing; everything is quality! even coffee is freshly ground for each cup. recommended! this is the only unit in san diego county, unfortunately.

i’ve been dying to try tender greens (http://www.tendergreensfood.com/) ever since it opened in liberty station in point loma, san diego. when you walk in, you immediately place your food order. you pass a window of delectable goods, and end up at a cash register where you place your drink order and pay. they hand you your food on a half baking sheet – interesting touch – and you grab your silverware and napkins. you seat yourself either inside or outside. it’s cafeteria style dining, but with 4 star food. there’s a desire to serve great quality food here: most of the produc
