we sat outside on the beautiful patio for a light summer dinner on a sunday evening. my companion ordered the special, a short rib quesadilla, a very generous entree enough to serve two people. the meat was fork tender and lightly spiced. we also ordered two fish tacos, one grilled and one fried served on corn tortillas, both were delicious. i requested the guacamole be served on the side (not my favorite topping) and our server, mariah noticed the guacamole was actually on the fish when she served our meal and asked if i’d like the tacos replaced. i responded that i could just scrape off the guacamole. later, we ordered the cinnamon roll bread pudding with caramel and mascarpone cheese (do not pass up this dessert!) and mariah kindly comped the dessert because of the guacamole mixup. the service was prompt, friendly and informative (she recommended the dessert!). don’t miss the sangria, the perfect drink for a warm evening, not too sweet and served with fresh strawberries and blueberries.
