tasty's burgers and fries

a decent expensive burger. my wife and i went up and tried tasty burger the other day. she liked her vege burger, i thought the cheesburger i had was a pretty good, sort of char broiled. we had somefriestoo. mine were a bit soggy. we had a couple sodas and i think it was about $20. it is a semi- fast food place. you go up and order and someone brings it out. located in an old gas station. burgers are pretty much the whole menu. i am saying that i liked it just based on the fact the food was ok...... but lets face it, it's a hamburger. if there is one thing you can get at any restaurant it's a hamburger. it is also a pretty expensive hamburger. i am not going to go back as i don't think it is a particularly good value, but they did a decent job with the one item they sell.

great burgers & shakes. got there before 12 noon today. good thing because after we ordered the line got really long. parking is an issue. you may have to find a place to park & walk to the restaurant. staff was friendly. we ate outside and had a cool cat named felix ride by on his 3 wheel bike selling fresh roasted peanuts. he whipped out a harmonica & played a quick tune, very entertaining. if you're in the area and want a great burger,fries& milkshake be sure to give them a try.

veggie burgers and cheese fries. i love that they have the most delicious veggie burger i ever had and they give you lots of delicious fries. regular and sweet potatofrieswith different seasonings. the service is also wonderful.

rode the motorcycle 140 miles to get there with a few friends for lunch. quickly discovered there was little to no parking at the location. parked on the sidewalk and stood in line to order. their burger patties are only 1/4lb so if you want something bigger than a mcdonald's cheeseburger you will need to order two or a double patty burger. ordered mid rare but they are so small and thin it is hard to control temp and mine was overdone. ordered spicy sweet potatofrieswhich were very good and burger was still "tasty". went back in for a chili dog because i was still hungry. the dog was very good and snapped with each bite. overall a good experience. to me the burgers were good but not great enough to go back unless i was close by.

absolutely the best burger i've had in years. i ordered the two patty with lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickle and onion. meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned. i ordered the southern stylefrieswhich were handcut and seasoned with sea salt. buddies ordered bacon and ranch burgers and sweet potatofrieswith a "butta - sugah" dipping sauce. they have 3 different types of sauces for the sweet potato fries. also other seasonings for the handcutfriesincluding old bay. here for another week and plan on at least one more visit to this great burger place.

the burger was really good. however the frenchfrieswere pretty bad. i got the chili cheese fries. they overdid the cheese, all i could tastes was cheese. its not that cheap either for a burger place. probably never eating there again.

a good burger all around and hand cutfriesreminiscent of five guys burgers. service was a little slow and the seating outside is loud on the main drag. but still, a good burger. the milkshakes looked great if you can handle all that dairy.

real damn food!. i've been to fernandina/amelia island off and on for ten years, and noplace there has touched me like tasty's, which we finally got around to trying late sunday morning for lunch. tasty's is on the opposite end of the spectrum from fine dining, but as far as i can tell, it is the very home of real food in the fernandina area. i had the 1/2 pound double patty as a bacon cheddar burger, and mrs buddha had a spectacular ahi tuna burger. these were both as good as these things get. thefrieswere also the real deal. the fellow at the counter we ordered from was friendly and helpful, and our orders were delivered quickly as exactly as ordered. the menu also has hot dogs and other items you'd expect to find at a burger joint, as well as items such as sweet potatofriesand the ahi burger mrs buddha enjoyed.

now you're not going to want to go to a burger joint for those special meals, and tasty's is no rival for salt, merge, or espana for that nice dinner out, but if you're looking for casual and reasonable, as well as simple but excellent food prepared expertly, tasty's is your man.

delicious!. omg yum! fun place, fantastic burgers! chocolate shake topped with whip cream....heavenly! we attempted to eatfriesbut the burger and shake were way to filling.... recommend burger andfriesin one visit and the over the top shake another time.....

retro gas station definitely serves scrumptious food! best burgers in florida!!!

cheeseburger w/ sweet potato fries. always delicious. i love this place.

what an awesome burger joint. the food is awesome and the sweet potatofriesare to die for. cannot wait to eat here again!!!

inexpensive and yummy. we were headed towards ciao's italian place but the smell of these burgers was hard to pass up. an obvious local favorite we dined at the packed gas station now restaurant and so glad we did. would pass the chilifriesnext time but the burgers were hand made and great! we are staying at the hoyt house and may have to drop in for lunch tomorrow!

see my review at the beginning of the month? well its now the end of the month, and i have enjoyed five tasty burgers since then. i dont care if i have to park on the roof. each one as "tasty" as the last. ok so now an obsession of mine. in my top five of all time. you looked them up on urbanspoon and read the reviews just eat their already, ok!

been by a thousand times and parking was always a nightmare so i never stopped, rookie mistake.today i lucked out on a sunday at 2pm with parking so enough was enough. plus i have yet to find "the burger" to satisfy my fix. ordered a double cheese and chili cheesefrieswith jalapinos. i recommend the cheese on the side as they sog up thefriesquick. thefrieswere great with chili seasoning and cheedar cheese sauce all over. the burger was all the way with tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, and special sauce. they have the size of veggies down to just enough so not to overwhelm the burger or your mouth. the meat had a good crust and juicy hot from the flat top. the sauce was like a mix of ketcup, mayo, garlic, and chili powder which lent enough seasoning as not to cover the burger with ketcup or mustard. the seasoning on that steel will grow with time and only make them even better. the atmosphere is great, an old gas station with seating inside and out. great place for a great burger that is in my top five of all time.

so yummy!! staff was friendly and you can't beat the burgers!! had they beet burger-amazing!! the old bayfrieswere delicious too!! can't wait to return!

very good. as a resident, when i tell people i've never been to tasty's they give me a disbelieving look. now i know why. excellent burger and just like i prefer them. i don't like the big thick burgers....the thin ones are my favorites. the seasoning on it was delicious. sweet potatofriesthat i only finished half of because the serving was so large. order was taken promptly and accurately. definitely will return.update: went yesterday (7/12/15) and still the best burger in town!  wish they more indoor seating though.

great staff and excellent food. we were in a hurry to get to a wedding nearby and needed something to eat fast. the staff were very kind and courteous. young people who were warm, friendly, and very polite. food was excellent, but thefrieswere exceptional. thank you from ormond beach
