tasty's burgers and fries

a decent expensive burger. my wife and i went up and tried tastyburgerthe other day. she liked her vege burger, i thought the cheesburger i had was a pretty good, sort of char broiled. we had some fries too. mine were a bit soggy. we had a couple sodas and i think it was about $20. it is a semi- fast food place. you go up and order and someone brings it out. located in an old gas station. burgers are pretty much the whole menu. i am saying that i liked it just based on the fact the food was ok...... but lets face it, it's a hamburger. if there is one thing you can get at any restaurant it's a hamburger. it is also a pretty expensive hamburger. i am not going to go back as i don't think it is a particularly good value, but they did a decent job with the one item they sell.

veggie burgers and cheese fries. i love that they have the most delicious veggieburgeri ever had and they give you lots of delicious fries. regular and sweet potato fries with different seasonings. the service is also wonderful.

turkey burger!. so turkey burgers usually aren't that great, and they aren't that easy to find at fast food places either right? well i decided i wanted to be a little less unhealthy when i went there and i ordered one- i went off menu and just wanted their regular cheeseburger with turkey instead, i ordered one- and a creamsickle float. both were amazing. the turkey was juicy and really flavorful, not dry or "pattylike" it was so good, i actually went back in and ordered a second one. it was just as good. yes, it is a little expensive but not really anymore than you'd spend at 5 guys or another greatburgerplace, if you are in fernandina, find them and try it out!

very solid meal. carolinaburgerwith slaw and bacon was different, but very good. shrimp rolls were good. highlight of tasty's is the fries. handcut. salty. tough to beat.

rode the motorcycle 140 miles to get there with a few friends for lunch. quickly discovered there was little to no parking at the location. parked on the sidewalk and stood in line to order. theirburgerpatties are only 1/4lb so if you want something bigger than a mcdonald's cheeseburger you will need to order two or a double patty burger. ordered mid rare but they are so small and thin it is hard to control temp and mine was overdone. ordered spicy sweet potato fries which were very good andburgerwas still "tasty". went back in for a chili dog because i was still hungry. the dog was very good and snapped with each bite. overall a good experience. to me the burgers were good but not great enough to go back unless i was close by.

absolutely the bestburgeri've had in years. i ordered the two patty with lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickle and onion. meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned. i ordered the southern style fries which were handcut and seasoned with sea salt. buddies ordered bacon and ranch burgers and sweet potato fries with a "butta - sugah" dipping sauce. they have 3 different types of sauces for the sweet potato fries. also other seasonings for the handcut fries including old bay. here for another week and plan on at least one more visit to this greatburgerplace.

theburgerwas really good. however the french fries were pretty bad. i got the chili cheese fries. they overdid the cheese, all i could tastes was cheese. its not that cheap either for aburgerplace. probably never eating there again.

bestburgeri've ever had!!!! delicious :) cool location being a renovated gas station. great, friendly staff. my husband raved over the sweet potato fries. we will definitely be back!

a goodburgerall around and hand cut fries reminiscent of five guys burgers. service was a little slow and the seating outside is loud on the main drag. but still, a good burger. the milkshakes looked great if you can handle all that dairy.

great place. tasty's... its the only way to describe the food. very tasty. my fiancée had the turkey wedge salad which was huge! i went with the doubleburgerand a regular fry. it's all fresh, friendly service, great location, and best of all they were open on a sunday! we admit we were going to try t-rays but they were closed (on a sunday?). strike 1 for them. homerun for tastys!

waitresses get orders wrong!!!. i have orders three times from tasty's and twice the waitresses got my order wornd. when someone asks for aburgerw' everything on it, that does not just mean meat and cheese--it means onions, lettuce, tomato, and condiments. don't waste your money or time here--very disappointing.

real damn food!. i've been to fernandina/amelia island off and on for ten years, and noplace there has touched me like tasty's, which we finally got around to trying late sunday morning for lunch. tasty's is on the opposite end of the spectrum from fine dining, but as far as i can tell, it is the very home of real food in the fernandina area. i had the 1/2 pound double patty as a bacon cheddar burger, and mrs buddha had a spectacular ahi tuna burger. these were both as good as these things get. the fries were also the real deal. the fellow at the counter we ordered from was friendly and helpful, and our orders were delivered quickly as exactly as ordered. the menu also has hot dogs and other items you'd expect to find at aburgerjoint, as well as items such as sweet potato fries and the ahiburgermrs buddha enjoyed.

now you're not going to want to go to aburgerjoint for those special meals, and tasty's is no rival for salt, merge, or espana for that nice dinner out, but if you're looking for casual and reasonable, as well as simple but excellent food prepared expertly, tasty's is your man.

delicious!. omg yum! fun place, fantastic burgers! chocolate shake topped with whip cream....heavenly! we attempted to eat fries but theburgerand shake were way to filling.... recommendburgerand fries in one visit and the over the top shake another time.....

retro gas station definitely serves scrumptious food! best burgers in florida!!!

cheeseburger w/ sweet potato fries. always delicious. i love this place.

what an awesomeburgerjoint. the food is awesome and the sweet potato fries are to die for. cannot wait to eat here again!!!

don't miss this little place. the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. the veggieburgerwas fabulous.
