taste of asia

there are a number of taste of asia's around tarrant county.  this one is better than most in both service and food.  from the moment i entered, i was immediately seated and cheerfully given a menu and asked what my beverage preference would be.  my server returned within a minute with my drink and asked if i was ready to order.  i wasn't ready, so she gave me a few extra minutes.  there is no buffet at taste of asia, and their menu is quite large which is surprising for arestaurantof this size.  besides the usual asian plates they also offer sushi rolls.

i decided on the general tso's chicken lunch special which came with steamed rice and an egg roll.  fried rice or brown rice substitution is 50 cents extra.  i did not have to wait long until my lunch arrived.  it was plated very nicely, and was a good size for lunch.  the general tso's chicken had a sweet sauce in line with the normal recipe, but this version actually had a little kick spice-wise.  it seems to me at most places you can't tell the difference between this, the sesame chicken and the orange chicken except that the sesame chicken is covered in the seeds.  flavor is normally all alike.  the flavor here, at least with the g.t. chicken was superb.  the steamed rice was a perfect portion.  i usually never have enough rice.  this was a nice change.  the rice was the sticky steamed kind.

the only misstep was the egg roll which probably was cooked with so many other egg rolls, the oil temperature dropped and resulted in them being soaked in oil.  also there was no hot mustard to be found.  their iced tea was phenomenal.  if you love tea as much as i do you will like theirs.  it has an actual strong tea flavor and is not watered down.

service continued to be great throughout the meal.  my drink was replenished a couple of times and the check and fortune cookie were brought timely.  so all in all i was quite pleased with this taste of asia.

will never go back to this place. very poor service. called my order in for pick up. lady read my order back to me twice. ordered combo pad thai, after picking my order up i didn't get pad thai instead i got combo fried rice. i called them back to make it right. i was told the lady that took the order was gone and nothing they could do about it. i replied "so i get stuck with something i didn't order or want even after having my order read back to me twice and you cannot make this order right. the guy said yes. i said well, i can do something about it and you just lost my business. the guy says "cool" and i hung up. poor service! and i've spent a lot of money in this place too. think i will take my business to a new thairestaurantin crowley from now on. good quality in recent months has also diminished too.

terrible management. we used to eat at this place many times, but they have terrible terrible service. they forgot half our order on a delivery order - when i called to ask them to deliver the rest of the order, the manager came on the phone and said "that is not in our system. we did not charge you." well....unfortunately, i didn't go to their store and put my order in their system, but apparently, it's my fault it's not in their system. their incompetent employee repeated the order back to us on the phone, but apparently was not capable of putting it in the system - and that's our fault. i explained to her that i'm not concerned with being charged, i just want my food. and she (the manager) repeatedly kept telling me how it's not in her system. when i asked if they can just fufill the order and bring the rest of the food i was told "if you want it, you have to come and get it, we are too busy." not a single apology. i wonder how one manages arestaurantor even calls themselves a manager of arestaurantwhen their sole role is to provide customer service and clearly from my experience, customer service is not a priority. needless to say, i will never order from this place again - nor will any of my family or friends. it's not like there aren't an abundance of asian restaurants around. still i wonder....who says that?......btw - this is the fort worth location on beach street, not bryant irvin.

after many years of avoiding thisrestaurantbecause we disliked it, we gave it a second chance. the spring roll appetizer was ok, not great. the sesame chicken was good. nothing special, but i would order it again. i would love to comment on the sweet and sour chicken my husband ordered, but they gave him sesame chicken by mistake. egg rolls were marginal. overall, it was decent.

such good food!. i love this place! everything!! is so good! and i'm pretty picky when it comes to asian food! the only bad thing about thisrestaurantis that it is always too crowded.

extremely impolite service and manager. taste of asia of burleson tx. we were eating at therestauranta party of five. everyone order their food, when it came, my food was terrible, the meat tasted bad and the noodles were dried and unseasoned. i told the waiter and all he said was "that's! what you ordered!" in other words he din't give a .... no appologies or ask what the problem was. when the bill came it was not removed from the charges. so, i called for the manager and told him the situation. then, he said "if everybody orders and everyone says they don't like it then what?" no appalogies or tried to figure out what happened. very dissatisfied. we were regular customers of therestaurantand loved the food, however, this is the first time this has happened and we were not satisfied with the treatment we got.

i only go there because my american friends adore their food.. it's not the best place i've been to. when they first opened several years ago, everything was amazing. things started to change over the years. i went to eat there a few times when i feel broke for anything else. i've had the sweet and sour chicken, not bad....sesame chicken was very dry... their new york roll was okay...my friend liked it, i didnt like it at all. the tempura shrimp inside fell apart ?? what is that? the imitation crab meat was the dryest and roughest crab meat i've ever had. i've had their volcano roll, not bad, but i've had better. my brothers had the orange beef. it was okay..kinda dry as well. i'll go there again, but i'll still dislike the food.. but food is food, if i'm hungry and my friend wants asian close by...i'll choose this place over therestaurantacross the street.

best asian food in burleson!! never had a bad meal & i've been there many times. service is always good & willy is the friendliest guy ever! so grateful they're still here!!

ttg for asian food that is not a buffet!. i loved the spicey koren and my husband enjoyed his hunan chicken. both were all white meat and very tasty. this will be our asianrestaurantof choice in burleson, because we despise buffets, but also because the service and food were excellent!!

love it. i love sushi. and taste of asia has the best sushi in burleson that i have found. the portions are large and artfully prepared. be mindful, this is not a buffet. this is a great asianrestaurantthat has great service and great food. i have been over 10 times and have never been disappointed at all.

best asian food in burleson!!. i seriously eat at taste of asia every week. by now the staff recognizes me and knows to bring sweet and sour sauce to my table with my egg rolls even before i ask :p

their portions are large (who can complain about that?), the food is authentic and delicious (i love their all white meat chicken), the prices are ridiculously cheap (for six dollars i get a fantastic meal with leftovers, much better than seven dollars for a hamburger meal!), and their staff is very sweet to me. i have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a meal.

they always let me adapt my dishes- sesame seeds on the side, no this or that. i always pay two dollars extra for lo mein instead of rice because its so delicious! they give me a huge portion and i always eat it the next day or night. i love their staff, their always friendly, courteous, accommodating, and sincerely kind.

i tell everyone i know about this small newrestaurantin btown, and i hope it becomes a huge success!

great food. thisrestaurantdoes have really good food. yes, the portions are a bit big but it also depends on how hungry you really are. to the first reviewer, i have shared a dinner plate with another person before because we weren't that hungry but my other friend finished a whole plate by himself. i'm pretty sure the person who took your order doesn't know how hungry you are. it's not like she's psychic. but anyway, the food is great, the servers are great, and it's just a great atmosphere.

first of all, i like to correct what the previous reviewer said about this restaurant. i think it is not fair to judge arestaurantbased on a delivery order. it may be miscommunication between the caller and the order taker in this restaurant. also, it maybe due to the distance and time the foods being delivered that make the foods dry. however, i know they do allow customer the option to excluded anything from their dishes...mushroom, peanut, or spicy sauces if they choose to. for myself, i have been to eat in thisrestaurantcouple of times. they serve great authentic asia dishes that no comparison to any chinese buffet or express asia food in burleson tx. their dishes price is right and fair, their foods cook fresh and wonderful, their servers are all friendly and excellent indeed. of course, there is still room for improvement in this great little asiarestaurantin our town here. if we really want burleson to grow and development into a new city. we should give this local forth worth based taste of asia a chance to stay in business and thrive with us. i would judge a person or busi
