this place is worth finding. it's in a very nondescript building that you will drive right by if you aren't looking for it. do yourself a favor and look. inside seating is limited but there is ample seating. service when we went was a little slow, because it's a small place they only had one server, but it wasn't too bad. the food was terrific. i got the flautas and hawaiian and both were terrific. to me this is more of a lunch spot as the portions were smaller and they don't come with sides. this is the only reason i rated it as i did because for a dinner portion there wasn't enough for me. i will return there for lunch though and it's definitely worth a stop if you likeauthenticmexican food.

a local legend that kickstarted the mainstream appeal ofauthentictaco places in chattanooga, taqueria jalisco has become a must-have staple for foodies in the surrounding area. i've tried pretty much all of the toppings for the tacos saves jalapeno, and they are all awesome! chicken, of course, is a favorite of mine! as always, a taqueria is only as good as its salsa, so fittingly, taqueria jalisco's salsa is simply incredible! with some of the best food downtown, and indisputably some of the best prices, here's hoping that this place stays around for centuries to come!

i am a fan ofauthenticmexican food. i frequent la altena, conga (el salvador), hole in the wall latin joints.
bad service, bad service, bad service. food was "meh". i won't be back. get some help or get a better attitude. full of local southside "wanna be" hipsters.

authentic and amazing.. for a long time i've looked for goodauthenticmexican food and this is the place. best mexican i've ever had since i moved from the mexico/texas border. awesome prices, great service, good selections and amazing food. they even had mexican sodas! i am never disappointed. my boyfriend and i come here once a week. my only complaint is that sometimes they close early randomly and they don't serve alcohol.

taqueria jalisco mexican restaurant. on friday, a friend and i dined at taqueria jalisco, just off of main street in chattanooga, tn. i have been going there since it opened and have found it to be my favorite mexican restaurant. the menu has not change much but the flavor profiles have. my go to is the beef burrito and order it just about every time. their red salsa goes great with the chips that come with the meal but it is was even better on the burrito. be sure to try one of the local sodas from pure sodaworks.

taqueria jalisco is very small with only 5 or 6 tables inside, with more tables on their patio. being so small gives you more of a home-style feel. it’s like being invited to their home for lunch and the food taste like home made. they have the bestauthenticmexican food in town. there are also a couple tables outside the restaurant for the sidewalk café feel. the staff is always friendly and service is fast.

taqueria jalisco started out with just a small food truck and then expanded into a storefront at 1634 rossville ave. now, owners are adding a second location in miller plaza and should be open by the end of april. this is one not to be missed.

bestauthenticmexican in chattanooga. this place is amazing. if you are use to taco bell gorditas and chalupas then you probably won't recognize them when you order them at jalisco, but the flavor noticeably better. i traditionally go for the beef and chorizo tacos, but i recently had a steak and chorizo burrito which was amazing. their tomatillo and red sauces are probably the best in town. i smother my food with them. the staff is a joy to interact with, and will seek to make it a wonderful experience. only draw back is that it is a small dining space and sometimes too crowded at lunch time to feel comfortable. however, you can always just get it to go!

this place is small and quaint. a few tables for dine in. they take call ahead which i recommend. the service and food are superb. i loveauthenticfood and this takes the cake an icing too! will most defiantly be back and often!

i'm so glad for some greatauthenticmexican restaurants in our area and i can't wait to visit taqueria jalisco again. go. there.
