just alright. i had decided to withold my original review of taco mamacita's until i had a couple more visits under my belt. with four experiences to expound upon, here i go.
the best part of taco mamacita's is the decor. very edgy, interesting, and great for conversation starters.
i've had the peruvian chicken, the brisket rancheros, and a couple combinations of tacos. the peruvian chicken was, hands down, the best. very tasty chicken, not overcooked, amazing marinade. the brisket rancheros is tasty, but was a bit cooler than i would have preferred. the tacos are alright, but in my opinion $4.00 is too pricey for a taco.
i've tried a couple margaritas as well, the most memorable being the cadillac. the skinny left me wondering if the lack of calories had to do with the lack of tequila. the sangria is kool-aid-ish, and my dining companion had a less than bright response to the el camino.
this seems to be another nashville restaurant trying really hard to be an urban hotspot. i didn't buy it.
