thisplaceis just ok for mexican food. it is very commercial and non authentic. while i would not go back for the food, i would go for drinks. thisplacedoes have a festive vibe you can enjoy celebrating with friends and family.

delicious!!!! best tacoplaceever! very friendly service. they have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options which made me very happy! really great prices too!

thisplacewas great! friendly service and quick order delivery. loved the general homeboy and the taco royale was good. the passion fruit sangria was excellent. our first trip to the gulch.

had an awesome time here. i honestly don't remember the name of our waiter, but he has short hair, tattoos, and is a drummer in a band: he was the best, completely amazing, upbeat, and professional. the food is great and they provide a separate vegan menu (my main reason for loving thisplaceso much) although their main menu is completely carnivore-friendly. recommend.

five visits in two weeks. we've been in nashville for 2 weeks and have visited taco mamacita five times. it's a delightfulplace- clean, pleasantly decorated and with outstanding servers. the menu is short, but every item we have tried has been excellent. i've gotten the two tacos with side every time, trying something different each time, and have not been disappointed. the ingredients are fresh and homemade, with excellent salsas and guacamole. the tacos are very creative. my favorite is the vegetarian jerk - a sweet plantain surrounded by crunchy fresh cabbage complemented by peaches. the general homeboy is also outstanding. those who complain about high prices don't seem to appreciate that you have to pay more for really fresh ingredients.

like it, don't love it. i have been here twice with a year's strech in between. nothing had changed really. the sangria is still expensive -2 glasses to a carafe and then our server grabbed the carafe before we had squeezed every last drop out. i had tacos both times and found them to be tasty but the sides are underwhelming. i would enjoy thisplacea lot more with drink specials during dining hours, otherwise, it's just too pricey for what you get.

good - for some people. i think that taco mamacita is for some people, i just don't think it is really my taste.

now, i love mexican food, but taco mama is just a bit "dressy" for the mexican food i love. i'm not going to say it's not good. none of the taco's sounded that great to me (most had one or two items that i would've wanted taken off - which seemed like a hassle since i was in a group of about 8). so, i ended up ordering the nacho mama. traditional nachos - melted cheese, black beans, jalepenos :), and i added chicken.

it was good, but not aplacethat i would just have to bring out of town guests. the mojito was also delicious and refreshing on such a hot day!

very good meal. tried thisplacetoday after reading the reviews. great fresh guacamole, delicious turnip greens, and had two tacos: the royale and the fish. fish wasn't the best i've had but still very enjoyable. royale is a white flour tortilla wrapped around a blue corn tortilla with a bunch of stuff inside. had a good flavor. only complaint was the tea, which was an atrocity if it's always prepared like that. friendly server took it off my tab and offered great service. would return to try the peruvian chicken.

not a good first impression. i had heard a lot about thisplaceand wanted to like it. turned in to a bad experience. the fish taco was waded down in sauce to the point where i opened up to shell and just ate the three small pieces of fish. the california taco was better but still very small for $3.50 a taco. way too expensive and busy for the taste. would not recommend.

its soo damn good. i highly recommend eating at taco mamacita. the menu is fantastic, the staff is great, and their margaritas are one of a kind (try the "el camino"). their guacamole is the best guac i've tried in nashville. i can't recommend thisplaceenough. i can say i've tried almost everything on the menu, and have yet to find something i dislike. go now!

my wife and i decided to try this restaurant for the first time. now i am from mexico and the food was no where near authentic mexican. it was tex mex but sproosed up. now i am not saying the food was bad. it was good. the service was aaa! our server troy was the greatest i've ever had. aplaceto try!

go to the edge.... we have our share of tex mex restaurants in nashville. we also have the "authentic" mexican fare spattered about. . this fabu new and funplaceis more along the lines of amexicaricuban. what else would you expect to hail from the the island side of tennessee in chattanooga? the water is pretty blue in the aquarium, but i digress.
it's all about the guacamole. best in town. or, the mararitas.best in town.
oy vey! an excellent choice for a taco. yes, that would be brisket in that tortilla.
salsa, fresh, take your pick. see you there. often.
