it's one of the best place to have some unique and delicious gujarati snacks in ahmedabad. its little pricey but the taste of thefoodmakes it value for money and worthy enough.
we had the panki, baked masala khichadi, handvo and chola methi dhokla- kadhi. the panki was extraordinarily good and delicious and so was the baked masala khichadi. baked masala khichadi is one of their specialities.
ambience is nice, staff is quite good and this place is quite popular as it mostly has waiting. when in ahmedabad you shouldn't just miss this place.

the most overrated restaurant i have ever experienced. everything was ok except fastfoodservice. not so great at all. over over priced for thefoodthey deliver. ordered tomato uttapam, cheese pav bhaji, fix lunch, dal dhokli, sabudana khichdi, dal bati, limbu pani, chaas. every dish was tasteless and too high in price. rather, i prefer other non-famous dhaba for these kind of food/snacks. wake-up.....

swati has been our all time favourite. simplefoodloaded with flavour. we are a fan of the panki, and upon this visit discovered their bedai roti with shaak and lemongrass ice cream. the lemongrass ice cream felt like freshness in our mouth! besides food, the service is also really commendable and the servers are extremely friendly.

if i had to rate forfoodit would be 5 star ..but i would rate is minus 100 star if i get a option

only reason is pathetic approach of management even road side dabha are better.

car parked in the parking zone .there security guy asks other customer to park car wrongly.when we come out we ask the security and incharge to get the car problem fixed.management asked me to go and get car no and they saying we doing big obiligation by annoucing name of person who parked wrongly...management is completely arrogant

'letfoodbe thy medicine and medicine be thy food' and for men like me,foodis an essential element for my life.

this was fifth visit to ahmedabad in as many months and i have only heard praises about the swati snacks and this time i ensured i am able to indulge infoodofferings from swati snacks.

the entire vibe in swati snacks is of euphoria, aesthetically pure, service fast and crowd a bit aristocratic. after gruelling three hours of meetings, we were exhausted, famished and raring to go and eat. luckily there wasn't a waiting time when we approached the restaurant. on the onset, the menu is compact however all the dishes looks unique and we were not able to make which one to start with. ourfoodtrail involved the following:-

dal bhatti churma- three marwaris in gujarat trying to savour dal bhatti churma. this is a very large portion of dal bhatti is served with small ounce of churma accompanied by a very spicy garlic chutney and grated onions. the churma is fantastic, bhatti good however dal is a bit of dampener. it was a bit high on salt which couldn't mellowed by the sweet churma.

dhabeli - this dish was great to begin with. stuffed with smashed potatoes mixed with pomegranate seeds, spiced to good extent so it doesn't taste sweet. served with mint chutney, the taste is good and different from the varieties available in mumbai. there is no seasoning of sev and groundnuts yet this is beautiful dish.

baked khichdi - khichdi served with an international twist. the khichdi is baked like lasagne and have fried onions for cheese sprinkler and tastes phenomenal. how can a simple dish be transformed to something extraordinary.

samosa chat- we were biased solely towards samosa and any adulteration is met with critical eyes. the samosa is brilliant in taste while the concept of having dahi is fine till the time it is not entirely soaked. once soaked, the chat is not for the faint hearted.

swati snacks had been good and would love to visit the restaurant often.

a small snacks outlet where you need to wait for atleast 15-20 mins to get your number. arrangements are there to ensure you can relax while waiting for your turn. once you enter this place and get yourfoodthat u will end up saying the wait was worth while. one challenge i faced was parking, they have few people in vallet but not sufficient specially in rush hours.

we tried 2 dishes:

1) baked beans khichdi: nice fusion which has baked curd topping. concept of beans in khichdi was awesome and baked curd ensure it remains juicy through out. awesome dish and highly recommended.

2) methi bajra roti with aloo sabji: another good dish, roti was baked properly and dough was mixed properly to ensure roti was not dry. sabji with this complemented the breads.

awesome place and must visit for locals as well as people visiting this city for a small trip too.

keep serving!!!!

the taste offoodwas mediocre.. i ordered satpudi roti with gatta nu shak, a lunch thali, methi dhokla with kadhi and when none of the above could satisfy the taste buds- a sada dosa.
the paratha served in lunch thali was kind of undercooked and gatta sabzi was not impressive enough.

i have had satpudi roti before and the one which was served here was no special.
the overall dining experience didn't meet the hype i had heard of.
