went here based on the praise it had been given on zomato. we were a group of four. we were ushered in after waiting for 10 mins. my dad ordered the four specials on offer that day. since we aren't from gujarat we a slight headstart about what we were eating would have been appreciated. but the waiter just placed the plate and went. and since it ain't a self service the waiters are supposed to serve. but they couldn't wait to scoot away. finally when the meals came we weren't that fascinated by what we ate considering we shelled out a lot of money. all this restaurant did was burn a hole in our pocket. the food isn't something phenomenal. i've eaten better gujarati in bangalore. isn't worth your time. i'd suggest street food which was far far better.

visited "swati snacks" sometime back to satiate my snack craving on a sunday evening. looking at the high ratings on zomato, i went inside with high expectations.

simple and sober are the words that describe the ambience of this place. the seating arrangements are pretty basic and sufficient number of tables are there. the see through kitchen and framed food awards on the wall are the major highlights of the ambience.

the menu is not very extensive with major options of gujarati snacks, few dosas and chats. we stuck to the traditional gujju snacks and ordered the highly recommended panki chatni and dabeli. basic presentation and average taste, nothing exemplary about the food. 100 rupees for an average dabeli, i didn't find the food worth the price.

the service was poor to say the least. i had to repeatedly ask the waiters for water, menu and bill. asked them for extra chutney and got it only after i had finished my food. and this is when the place was not even half full.

go for tasty gujrati food and this place would not disappoint at all. very reasonable & with quick service, swati restaurant is a place to dine in.
the ambience is quite normal but when it comes to food it matters the most. all stars for the food

i go to swati when i know i don't want to take chances. these guys never ever disappoint. the only challenge now is the limited menu. limited in the sense that i have been there and eaten that.

for a change i ordered the snacks, literally. dahi sev puri. dahi batata puri. pani puri. all aaa but pani puri has to be my go to item. simply awesome arrangement.

the fresh alphonso ice cream is worth a dekko and so is the sukhdi.

quite decent place with extra ordinary food quality and taste as well... a bit costly but still it's worth going.. must visit.. a worthful experience and experiment.. thumb's up..👍👍

i have given this restaurant this much rating only because of its very hygienic and some food in the menu are unique else there is nothing good about it. the food they serve are not value for money as well as not good in test. even the water they serve are not purified it has bad taste. they don't even treat customer nicely.

turns out this is just a place which serves simple food and caters to the common indian palate.
the food in itself is pretty good. they could have some new dishes other than the regular ones found everywhere.
the thing that annoyed me was that is not self service but the waiters don't serve the meal on your plates.
another point i felt was a problem was the fact that the dishes being add simple as they are, are very overpriced.
but still it's a worthwhile place to go have food at odd times and even lunch.

i had tried an outlet of this in mumbai and loved it. this one is way more authentic! the sabu daana kichdi was okish but the fada nu kichdi was pretty tasty. must try the variety of dhoklas and the ice creams too. do not miss the leaf wrapped pankhti! pretty quick and efficient service also! must try when in ahmedabad.

it's the best place to have gujarati snacks in ahmedabad. the ambiance is classy and don't expect to escape this place with a cheap tummy filling snack. the prices are on the higher side but the taste of the food makes it value for money and not unjustified.

we had the pankthi, dal bhatti churma, dhan shak and sugar cane juice. the pankthi was extraordinarily good. hot, fluffy, light and melt in the mouth texture. the bhattis were smothered in ghee, were soft and made a perfect combo with the hot dal. the dhan shak was different and was very filling.

overall, it burns a hole in your pocket but it leaves you satisfied with the food. a great place to take your non-gujarati friends and family to when they are in town.

after a hot and sunny day at the stepwell, we enjoyed the sugarcane juice here. the paanki chatni is a superb try if you are in ahmedabad for the first time. its thin pancakes steamed in banana leaves are a must try. i have never seen my daughter make her own paani puri and eat it. her friend and she ate around 20 paani puris between themselves. the waiters there were quite amused. all of us enjoyed different chaats and sweets as we were a huge bunch and everyone wanted something different to munch on.

food is awesome. food quality is great. ambience is also good. each and every food item in menu is good so order as per your likes.

handavo, aam chatni is awesome
bedai roti, bataka shak and shrikhand is must have

special note: marcha and green chutney is fab.
don't forget eat pan available outside restaurant.

if you love gujarati items than it is the place where you çan get your desired gujarati snacks.
panki and its chutney , chola methi dhokla with kadhi i jst love it.
one can try fada khichdi, misal.
love this place for home style food.

here for the first time....nice arrangement of water sprinkler at waiting area...then entered the restaurant. ambience is cool . food quality is out standing. even though restaurant is over crowded , service does not get affected

had been here last night. the food is always awesome here. must try panki chatni.
you got to wait a bit extra for the food as there is always a huge waiting for your table outside the joint. but that's all worth it once u eat the food.

this is a snack restaurant . we ordered the suggested meals and it was all tasty .

definitely worth a visit when you want some snacks or a light meal .
