sushi village

recently after being a customer for years, i had an experience which will prevent me from ever returning. we arrived at 9:30 and they close at 10:30, we were made aware of the time when seated which was fine. we put everything we wanted on one sheet to save them time and only 1/2 the order came out (presentation was horrible) when we were told it was "last call" i reminded her that we were still waiting on items, she told us to reorder so we did. the hand rolls came out loosely rolled, when picked up most of the stuffing fell on the table, and the ones with tampura were cold and greasy. there were still two other tables, but staff was rushing around cleaning and hovering around clearing things as soon as we lifted the item off the dish practically- so we felt rushed and unwanted so we decided to justeatwhat was edible, pay and go. the manager became very rude when clearing the table saying we were wasting food in regards to the hand roll that fell on the table and a 3/4 ate sloppy over stuffed with rice hand roll. when we went to pay he went into this big demeaning lecture about not charging us this time but refusing to stamp our loyalty card. i explained to him what had happened with our order, and the sub par hand rolls and he became very argumentative. in the end i paid the base price only and just left the loyalty card that he finally stamped on the counter and told him to forget it i would never be back. the restaurant quality has declined over the years in general and the staff have in recent visits been abrupt, forgetful, and sloppy. ottawa has much better sushi restaurants! skip this one!

it was very good and the service was courteous and fast. the place was clean. you can choose all you caneator à la carte. highly recommended.

this was my second time going. sushi was good, the crab meat and salmon were fresh. the atmosphere was nice and the service was quick and efficient. no pressure toeatquickly and i don't have anything negative to say. finished off with a scoop of mango and another of red bean ice cream. would definitely go back.

sushi below average. everyone saying this is the best sushi in ottawa has obviously never had any decent sushi. secondly, it was the worst service i have ever experienced. me and my friend walked in and we were immediately reminded of the fact that we would only have a short time toeatbefore closure and that we could only order once. this was pushed on us three or four times. my friend decided he wasn't going toeatand told this to the waitress who made a pass at his glass of tepid tap water, but then decided to allow him to keep his glass. soon, the management assigned a waitress to spy on us for the duration of our meal. standing a few meters from our table, an uncomfortable atmosphere was tangible by all. as soon as i was done eating she bolted up to our table and took away all the plates, and, much like i decided five minutes after i walked in, never came back.

mr delby. i came here 3 tomes before. but this time everything seems to be out of control. i didn't get my order as i placed it. there was a lot of missing items. tried to talk to the server but his english was not even close to fair. i left the place paid for my bill but still went next door toeatpizza. will not come back here again

good fast and cheap not best quality. i like this place if i want a fast,affordable and abundant dinner! i keep going back here not for the quality but for all u caneatdinner,22$plus tax,all u caneatlunch is even cheaper. i have high standards when it comes to fish,i would not recommend this place if u re expecting the best sushi in town .to find that u need to try an authentic family owned traditional japanese restaurant. all u caneatsushi places are pretty much all alike, cheap fast and abundant..the quality is left behind .

amazing all you caneatbuffet in orleans. clean, modern and has pretty decoration. the food has such lovely taste. the stuff are friendly, polite, and alway smile. i love sushi. my family and i been to many many sushi restaurant but sushi village is by far my favourite. my favourite dish would be all of them because all there food taste awesome!!! i will definitely be back soon!!!!!!!!!

i love this place so much. great service, great food. i go there so much that the staff know me and my boyfriend and bring us our usual drinks without even having to ask. i do wish that the sushi cost less to take home, and that you would receive a loyalty stamp when you order a takeout equivalent to the price of a meal. i would also advise to stay away from the non traditional japanese items such as the chicken wings, those are pretty nasty. but those are very small complaints considering every thing else is perfect. i wish i couldeatthere every single day.

my favourite sushi in orleans. usually i just do take out, but the 2 times i ate in, the service was great. i always purchase off of the menu rather than getting the ayce. mostly because for the same price i can get 2 meals worth and i'm not tempted toeattoo much just because it's ayce. i'm a vegetarian and the selection for me is very good. my favourites are the tofu inari sushi, spicy avacado hand roll and the sweet potato roll. also, the vegetable tempura is really good and not too greasy. i'd only order this foreatin, as it is not a nice consistency by the time you get it home, imo. i've brought a couple of non-veggies there and they loved it as well.

fresh fresh fresh. have only done the take out , just to see. it was excellent!!! beyond doubt the best sushi i ever ate . will be back for the take out and theeatin!! very reasonably priced!!

best all u caneatsushi i've had in ottawa. went for lunch, great quality nice restaurant. go there you'll love it. and please, anyone that says the denny's of sushi is better has no idea what fresh fish should taste like!
