dislike!!. tried this restaurant this past saturday night and am not a fan...i am a frequent customer of sushi kan and was hoping i had found another great ayce sushi restaurant but i'm sorry to say i have not. not sure if it's just that i wasn't used to the layout of the menu but there appear to be a lot of deep fried and tempura rolls, not so many of the other ones (i.e. salmon/avocado, etc.) not sure that i will go back.

8/10. i went there last night, after reading the good reviews on it. i'm very happy to see more ayce sushi restaurants in orleans! this place was good. exact same prices as sushi kan. tuesday night dinner is $20.99pp. i would say their selection of items was excellent - just as many things as sushi kan, plus a few different ones.

the atmosphere and decor is quite lovely - i like what they've done with the place. definitely a nicer interior than sushi kan.

rolls: large. like another reviewer, i found the rolls to be a bit too big - which means more rice and that you get full off of rice faster. that being said, the rolls were quite tasty and i liked the variety they had to offer.

a few other things to mention:
drinks: if you want pop, they charge $1.00 / can.
skewered shrimp: be warned, this shrimp comes with the full body kit (not peeled or de-veined).
dynamite rolls is very good.

i also tried fuji sushi (the other new ayce that opened last week in gloucester) - and i would say that sushi village trumps that place, but for me - sushi kan beats this place by a little.

i would go back here again, but i do like the size and types of rolls offered at sushi kan better. i missed the spicy crispy salmon rolls offered at sk.

pretty tasty! can't wait to go back!. so happy that there are more and more sushi places in orleans. i love sushi, especially all-you-can-eat sushi. i visited last week and i was impressed with the quality of the food. much faster than sushi-kan on innes. my only complaint was with the tempura. i didn't care for it. but the hand rolls and makis are very good. i'm hoping to go back this week! i will be a frequent customer!

really good sushi - close to home in orleans!. we eat a lot of sushi... about once a week on average - so it's great that the all-you-can-eat places are popping up closer & closer to home!

we tried the new sushi village in orleans the other night and were both delighted. good quality, tasty rolls & sushi, prompt & courteous service, nice spacious, trendy & clean facility... what more can you ask for? ohyah - same great prices as everywhere else, about $14 for lunch and $21 for dinner.

our only minor gripes might not be a consideration for others, but we noticed that the rolls were cut a little large... this could be that the chefs are just getting used to the new gig, but it made for a lot of embarassingly-large bites - or two bites in julie's case!

they also serve "cups" of green tea - so we asked for a pot and did get a thermal carafe. not sure if they're licensed for liquor yet, but the server did not offer.

i found the spider roll less "tasty" than other places, but it was fresh & large (did i mention the rolls are big yet?). the salmon sushi rolls were very crunchy & tasty on the first round, but the second was not as well crafted and had too much tempura crunch - still good nonetheless and likely just some growing pains with consistency.

so, we'll be back there for sushi - for sure, to support our local businesses. sushi village in orleans is a two-thumbs-up affair for us!

cheers & happy sushi eating!

brian and josephine. the food was very good, we stayed away from the deep fried foods so we can't comment on it, but the rolls and wraps were delicious. my wife enjoyed the lamb skewers while i tried the mackeral and eel dishes.
i would recommend trying samples and remembering your favorites.
